Ike was the first to break through the forest's boundaries and back onto the saftey of the grounds. He felt an astounding amount of guilt, and smiled. If you said something enough times, you started to believe it to be true, right?

Rabid had been cursing to herself in Vavvian the entire way through. What the Hell had they been thinking? They had to know what could happen to them in there, didn't they?

Liam took up the side of the group, loading his gun yet again and looking about nervously. He wasn't about to let anyone get eaten. Upon entering the grounds again, he unloaded the weapon...as if stepping on designated "safe ground" made everything better.

Jabir turned his head back "We're being followed"

He stoped and tryed to evaluate the situation, sensing the world around him. The creature was big but it was injured. There were more approaching but still were a bit far away

"Take the kids out of here, I'll join you in a minute"

He wasn't going to fight, not unless it was really necessary. Instead he was going to let the creatures know what they would be up against if they decided to keep following them

He filled his lungs with air before letting out a grutal, animalistic roar. The sound grew louder and meaner as he allowed his throat to distorce and multiply it several times

It took several seconds before he stoped but eventually the sound died away. This should be enough to make them think twice. He turned around and followed the rest of the group

Julian obeyed, steering Lenore away silently back towards HQ. Oh, but he was going to rather enjoy reporting to Crow what Len had done...

It isn't dead. I didn't kill it!

The thought brought an unexpected swoop of excitement as Len tried to look back towards the forest, though Julian's vise-like grip kept her from getting away.

She winced and shuddered at the sound Jabir made - it was official, he scared the crap out of her.

She tried to peek back again, hoping she would see the creature again.

The creatue heard the warning from the one that smelled of death - its ears flattened and it raised its hackles in fright, and it backed away. It could see the bird in the distance, and it gave a haughty huff before turning away and venturing back into the woods.

It'd teach her a lesson sooner or later.

Preferrably later.

Ike continued his slow, steady steps to the HQ, although a smile briefly played on his face. It was still alive. Good. Maybe they would see it again some time.

Jabir waited until everyone was back to the safety of the grounds before emerging himself out of the forest. Apparently the warning worked quite well because none of the creatures dared approaching them

"Now explain yourselves" his voice was a bit worn out from the roar but was still as icyly furious as ever

Julian chose to let Lenore go first.

"Go ahead, Len."

Giving Julian a dirty look, Lenore turned back to Jabir and looked up fearfully. She wanted badly to tell the truth, to get Ike out of trouble...

"I... um."

She couldn't speak - Jabir just scared her too much.

"Len had nothing to do with it," Ike stepped forward, "Julian and my mum were having an argument in the greenhouse. Len tried to talk them out of it, and I got mad. I ran off, and Len followed. I went into the forest, and she kept after me, telling me I'd get hurt. I didn't listen, so this big cat came after me. Len cut it to make it go away, and dragged me away."

The more times he told the lie, the more it made sense. He'd tell it as many times as he had to, though, to get Len out of trouble. Not to mention the fact that he refused to believe that it was a lie any more.

He knew that some people could read minds.

"Is this true?" he looked at Rabid and Julian. It that was the case then the adults were the first to blame... although the kids should know better than to enter the forest, specially by themselves

Sudden tense, cold fear choked the breath out of Lenore.

Uh oh.

Julian gave Ike a long, discreet look before answering.

"....I don't really recall, Jabir. Rabid and I were having a pretty bad argument, and I just wasn't paying attention. I upset everyone pretty badly - if anything, this is my fault." He said, the lie perfectly calm and sounding completely honest.

"I'm sorry if I've caused any harm - I take full responsibility."

Holy crap, I've got a death wish.

"Don't listen to him," Rabid interrupted, shaking her head, "I saw the kids running, but I never thought they'd go into the forest. It's my fault."

"Nonono," Liam said, "They ran right past me, but I didn't go after them. I was too afraid for Rabid 'n Julian's sanity."

Does everybody want to be punished or something?

"Enough!! For what I can tell you are all to blame. The adults for letting their arguments upset the children and them for entering the forest fully knowing how dangerous it is"

He sighed before continuing "I'm sorry but I can't let this go unpunished. Communitary service at the farm stables for 120 hours for all 4 of you. The kids will also clean up the classroom top to bottom. And no magic or technological aid of any kind!"

"And you better consider yourselves lucky" he hissed before returning to the HQ at a furious pace

Orchard

After wandering in the orchards with his pockets full of oranges, Kunjiro sat under one of the trees, peeling off the skin and the whole orange into his mouth. Not bad, he thought, patting the pocket stuffed with oranges. He then stood up and continued looking for fruits. "No oranges. Apples now," he said to himself.

He walked on, hoping to see more apples before leaving the orchard. Reaching the other side of the orchard, he saw one of the trees with apples. "Aha! My first apple," he said as he walked towards it, looking at the apple for a long time.

Rex wandered into the orchard, followed by two very small looking creatures - small looking, because... well, almost everything seemed small near the tall kid, now almost ten feet tall. The boy had dropped by the farm to help clean up the stables with Silencer(Jay had come down with a cold, and was not able to do so), and now that he was done, the boy had decided to take the two foals for a walk around the area.

Upon entering the orchard where, despite the snow and cold weather, fruits were growing aplenty, the elder of the two foals - a chestnut quarterhorse filly by the name of Star - gave a delighted whinny, and galloped towards the nearest apple tree. Not to be left behind, the other foal, a black hanoverian colt known as Shooter zipped after her, and soon after both foals were jumping around under the tree trying to get at its juicy fruit.

King, who had been eyeing the two foals with interest for some time now, huffed and snorted as they left, muttering something no one could understand under his breath.

Rex blinked as the two young horses 'flew' towards the apples, then laughed lightly, shaking his head. It was just then that the boy caught sight of another figure under a neighbouring apple, and his face light up in an instant, recognising said figure straightaway. Kunjiro!

"HI!"

Kunjiro turned around when he heard something. He saw his friend and with the fruits on his arms, he ran towards him, not noticing the one or two oranges dropped from his arms. "Hello!" he said happily, showing the oranges to Rex. "I collect fruits, join?" he asked.

Rex trotted slowly towards Kunjiro, stopping only a few feet away from him. At his statement and question, the boy tilted his head sideways, waving his tail behind him.

"Uh..." Rex began uncertainly, peering down at the fruits in the boy's hands. He had been consuming oranges - honey mandarins, for the past few days, and was not exactly keen on the little orange balls just now. But then again, he could not but help his friend.

"I guess yes, but you eat. Okay?"
