"Why won't you stop it. Can't you see the pain you cause me?" [Traverse Town::Second District -> First District] "Nalo had walked off and around the second district of Traverse town. He'd never really had a chance to explore this world since he had arrived from Ivalice. He'd started to really get lost in the gusts of wind and the soft buzz of insects floating in the air before he noticed a very distinct sound coming from the first district. A shriek of pain pierced the air. Nalo instinctively took off back to the first district. He didn't like the sound of that and it sounded...familiar. Where was that...Oh no. The creature of the wood. Nalo picked up speed and sprinted off back towards the first district. He vaulted over a wall, leaped to a wall-mounted flagpole and swung up to the roof of the building. He had a much better view of the streets as he ran along the edge of the roof, vaulting over every obstacle in his way. The street ended on his right, so he jumped off the left side of the building onto an awning and continued sprinting for the large gate that separated the two districts. In from of it, several scrabbling shadow heartless. He didn't have time for these abominations. He'd met these kind back on Ivalice in some of the back streets of Dalmasca. They were very much a nuisance. Nalo slid along the smooth stone walkway and kicked a shadow square in its torso, spun around on his palms to nail another one away and rolled forward in series away from the remaining two. He quickly swung the door open that connected the two districts and slammed it behind him. Now to find the chocobo. The first thing he noticed was the awful stench of the air. It was thick in acrid and stuck to his lung with every breath. The air is think...Some kind of poison? I can't stay down here...Nalo looked around for a quick way off the streets and soon found it; he sprinted to the nearest building, light pole. He quickly shimmied up it and back flipped from it onto the roof of a two story building. The air was thinner and more breathable up here, but Nalo had to take a knee and rest for a moment, his lungs hurt and his heart was beating ferociously. ((OMG, sorry mates, catchup post...Also, what time of day is it in Traverse Town? Night?))

[[Vain]]
"Death out of a Father's Pride" ___[Traverse Town .:. Underground Lake]
Vain approached the edge of the embankment before him, scratching his head in curiosity as he watched the floating stones before him dart back and forth in the water as if they had minds of their own.First that enchanted curtain, and now these stones? Surely the safeguards surrounding this place were meant to keep your average citizen out, yet allow someone of even slightly higher standing inside."Slightly higher? I pulled you out of a rock when a crane couldn't, so how about a little more credit?" Vain suddenly hopped forward, landing neatly on the first stone. "But I suppose you're right about it keep anyone without special skills out... To get in here you would have to be versed in both acrobatics and magic." The young man jumped to the next stone, watching and waiting for the moment to leap to the next.It did not seem as though anyone had managed to pull that curtain back in some time, though. Could it be that everyone else is just simply trash? Ha!Vain landed on the next stone before saying, "You're quite full of yourself, sword. Keep in mind that neither of us alone could have made it in here. I lack the magic and you lack the feet." The boy finally reached the center of the lake, coming upon an old, abandoned home. He sighed as he noticed the boarded up door before saying, "It would seem as though nobody's home..."Let me have a look.Vain reached around and pulled out the Revblade, the touch of his right hand opening the eye on the weapon. The pupil looked around frantically as Vain held the sword before him, the scanning paying off as the sword spotted something."Vain! To the left of the house! I see rubble, perhaps a hole has fallen through the side?"The boy nodded before sheathing the Revblade again and making his way to the left side of the house. Lo' and behold, there it was- a hole.I knew it.Vain pulled back the tattered rags acting as a curtain for the hole and moved inside of the house.___[Traverse Town .:. Mystical House]
Vain looked around at the empty building, sighing deeply before saying, "Man... All that rock-hopping for this?...""Mercy out of a Father's Cry."

[[[ Okay guys, Soryuju has asked me to point out that now, the poisonous fog has now begun to seep from the FIRST District into both the SECOND and THIRD Districts. Please remember to include these occurrences in your posts if they apply to your character(s)]]] ა я ï ε ℓ ℓ є ://
.: Traverse Town | Second District † ________ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ ¯ [Bollocks.] Orielle kept her gait natural as she walked towards the hotel. Though she was still a little nauseated by that horrible stench coming out of the freaky kid's bag, her face was emotionless and her eyes and the air around her of cold indifference.
Heading back towards the Hotel, she noticed a man making his way towards her out of her peripheral vision. She could see hopefulness in his eyes, but the morbid stench still lingering in her system abolished any desire for conversation. Not that she ever was interested in such frivolities, of course. So naturally, she steered towards the Hotel and pretended not to notice him, taking extra care to keep her pace constant. Years of such antics had refined her into quite a professional in the art of ignoring people.[Absolute bollocks.]

ᾼγζᾲ & ΘяῥђɐʋϨ [Current Location: Traverse Town - Ayla - Second District / Orpheus - First District] “Life itself is just a curse before death.” Just as Orielle had chosen to ignore Ayla, Ayla had done the same to Orielle. It was a rare moment if she ever showed attention to another person, unless they had done something to catch her interest. It was why she caught her gazae on Souzourou, he at least possessed something that caught her eye. What it was, even she didn't know, but when she was analyzing him earlier, something felt... off, she needed to be sure later. For now though, the petite girl, -soon to be left along when Orielle left- had kept her bow drawn keeping her distance from the door, and remaining aimed and steady with her bone-crafted weapon. There was no actual arrow, but she aimed it like there was one, making her seem even stranger than she already was.
Then, it was when things got a bit more dangerous... Ayla may have been ageless, but that by no means made her immortal, and when she started to see the fumes of the poison begin to seep through the doorway into this district, she knew there was trouble. Even worse, if she got much farther away, the empathetic link between her and Orpheus would soon break. But she didn't have the time for that, as the girl put her bow away, and turned around, the calm and blank expression on her dull, murky eyes remaining even though she was in danger.
She could see a taller main, garbed in white chain mail and green hair approaching her direction, and for the briefest moment, that lifeless gaze in Ayla's eyes met his, but the petite girl in the white dress didn't seem like she was going to speak. Ayla certainly noticed him, but she never spoke, not that she ever seemed to do that anyway.... Instead, she pointed, extending a slender, pale little finger at him, and then towards the green fog that was seeping into the second district, like she was demanding him to do something about it. However, shortly after, she then pointed at the church, near it's highest point. The girl wanted to go there, it was safer if they went higher, and hopefully he would understand that. Ayla herself was not the type to do anything really physical, so she actually started to walk over to him, as if she wanted her to... be carried?Orpheus found his attack cut off, as his opponent started to manipulate the poison that was now ignited by the flare. Even though Orpheus couldn't technically see, all of these scents were making things very clear to him, so many unique ones scattered about, giving him a layout of it all just as good as any eye could see. He had to admit, when he smelled how the poison was mixing with the fire, he found the scent to be amazing. It was certainly something new, and even just the poison itself was something he enjoyed bathing his undead body in, but for now, he kept his focus on his opponent, still smiling like he was having the best time of his life.
"Oh-ho~! Hee-hee... clever, so clever! I praise you! I praise you!" Like there wasn't even a battle taking place at all, Orpheus actually complimented Ölüm, finding his way of fighting to be absolutely entertaining! He didn't even find him to be an enemy, rather, Orpheus saw it as just a game, one who was thoroughly enjoying right now. But... this wouldn't last forever, soon enough the poison would be burned off, and that was when Orpheus had an idea of his own.
'Oooh.. I never liked this..' What he was about to do was never one of Orpheus's favorite things, in fact, it was one of the 'upgrades' Ayla gave him that he was slowly trying to learn to like, but still had trouble with. None the less, it was the best thing to do, and at his plan, Orpheus couldn't help his smile from growing.
"You know the old saying though. If you play with fire... you're going to get burned~" And with that, as Orpheus put a little distance between himself and his opponent, he took in a long, deep breath, feeling air and poison enter a different lung in his undead body. He never needed to breath anyway, but if he did, Orpheus had a surprise within one of his lungs... Ayla had put in one of a dragon's gut sac from their home world, Tsuvryen. And so because of this, the stitched up rag doll of dozens of different parts that went by the name of Orpheus was able to tap into this ability. His chest and throat expanded, giving the already strange looking creature an even more grotesque appearance as his throat swelled up like a bullfrogs, beore he spewed out a powerful and volitile wall of flames, orcing it onto Ölüm. Hopefully he could burn away the poison that was already ignited, and speed up the proccess so quickly that it would be uncontrolable by his opponent. Or at least, he might have to use some more of the poison around him and lessen the thickness of the poison that blanketed the district. Either way, Orpheus was enjoying himself, even if that feeling he got doing this flame-breath always did leave a bad taste in his mouth.
“But Death itself is a new life entirely.”

As she ducked to and fro between the guards, heading toward an exit, she only barely saw a black shadow speed toward her-
A large, black, monstrous looking being with golden eyes.
Squeaking out of fear, she attempted to turn around, only to find the guards running her way with their spears and swords. She was stuck now- the only question was who would get to her first...

No sooner had Vain finished mumbling his complaint when a puff of smoke appeared on top of a table in the center of the room. It was filled with strange sparkling lights, but dissipated before anything could be done about it. In its place were two figures- a tall, elderly looking man in a blue robe with a dramatically long beard, and a small mouse the seemed to like the color pink.
"Oh, back from Bermuda just in time for company it seems!" Merlin announced, dropping a bag on top of the table just beside his feet before pulling a wand out of his sleeve. "I'll be right with you, lad, just let me unpack. Mina, go talk to the fellow while I do that, it'll only take a few minutes."
Stepping off of the table, he tapped the top of the bag once with his wand, and it opened- from within there came a strange, dim light- almost as if lit by candles. Slowly but surely, as he flitted his wand back and forth, up and down (almost as if conducting an orchestra) things began to pile out, one by one, finding their places amongst the once-empty room- even things as large as dressers and bookcases seemed to find their way out of the bag despite it's small opening.[[If that's not alright with you, Psalm, I can edit it out.]]

{Ignorance is bliss... until reality throws a Heartless siege at you.}
[Traverse Town : First District] The woman once again dodged his attacks, only to release a wail that seemed to counter his earlier roar- he groaned in pain, covering one ear with his free hand. He could withstand it probably a little better than the others, but it wasn't the pain that got to him- it was the images. Visions of Haloras, being assaulted by the Heartless (Fuvoryans, they'd called them at first); a man in tattered black robes, his face covered by a mask which showed amusement...
Growling somewhat in his throat, Soryuju was about to counter the wail with another Dragon Roar, but then he felt a wave of heat- it was minor, in the distance, but it was there- and somewhere, a few dozen meters back, there was a clashing of flames.
Another fight?
"Be right back," he said, and with that, he charged energies into his legs and leapt high into the air, dozens of feet above any of the nearby buildings- the Dragon's Leap could bring him approximately 5, maybe even 6 stories above ground level. The height gave him a bird's eye view of the battlefield.
The diner was mostly destroyed, and the ground seemed to be broken apart in a spider-web fashion with the diner at its center. The poisonous fog was covering every inch of the First District's ground level (except for the diner, which Hefin had purified with his steam), and was even seeping into the other districts slowly but surely. Behind the woman they were fighting, there were two others, apparently fighting with fire- a man who moved the flames along the pathways of the poison (he must have been the person who made the fog!), and another who was attack him with dragon's breath.
Wait. Another dragon knight?
Figuring the others could handle themselves (and if he tried to attack the woman with the other two so close, he'd risk hitting them), he decided to go for the other man, who was busy dealing with the possible-dragon knight. Gasping for a breath, Soryuju focused energies into his throat and released a large fireball, soaring in the man's (Ölüm's) direction, hoping to blindside him with the attack.

[Traverse Town :: First District] "That's quite something, Number IV." Aria praised, and that was usually all the praise she'd ever give to someone in their lifetime. But she rather liked Ölüm, he wasn't annoying like other members of the Conclave and thus he was deserving of it. After all, it was really quite inventive what he did.
"Touched a nerve, did we?"Aria allowed a small smile as Alex screamed. The silver haired woman merely stepped aside, bringing her weapon up to gracefully parry that of Alex's furious attack. She then brought the butt end of her weapon around in a swinging motion to hit Alex at the base of her spine. She found that her eyes came to rest on a chocobo who was running madly towards her, funny a bird would find himself in the midst of battle. Then of course there were the flying projectiles of various sorts all whistling towards her. "Ooo~ I've seem to have found myself stuck in a rut." She murmured sleepily, before she released a strong sonic blast that blew outward from her and pushed forward in all directions like a dome. The strongest of the blast would be where she was standing and as the force blew outwards it would get progressively weaker though still strong enough to knock people off their feet and blast open shop doors. The blast seemed to cancel the projectiles making them burst in midair.
"I'm getting bored Ölüm, what about you? I'm sure Vereor will be pleased with this progress."

"Who's up for a game" [Traverse Town::First District] Nalo saw the dragoon knight burst up through the roof of the diner and stared at his with wide eyes. Never had he seen a hume jump so high in his life. This was not an ordinary man. This was not an ordinary scuffle. He regained his breath quickly before continuing along the buildings towards the diner. " If anything, that's where all the fighting is going on. I just hope I'm not too late."With his second wind kicking in, Nalo scrabbled over the parapets decorating the last building on the street before leaping off and rolling through the dense poisonous mist. He stumbled forward a few steps when suddenly, the fog vanished in front of him. The diner doors flew open in front of him as a loud burst of air rushed forth from inside. Nalo entered and saw several cloaked figures and the chocobo all inside.

[Fal'Navi] "...The shadows beckon." [Wonderland::Queen of Heart's Courtyard] Fal'navi grinned under his helm as the blonde froze up between himself and the card soldiers who were approaching. Yes...Freezing up when your predators surround you...Sadly, I am the one you should truly fear. He thought, slowing to a halt. The Wrathful Dragon raised up his spear, muttering quickly in his native tongue. He took a deep breath in, then exhaled a black and purple energy upon the ground. Heartless would begin to sprout from in time, and hopefully distract the soldiers long enough to get Alice out of there. "One last thing to do." He muttered, pressing a thumb against the dragon pendant around his neck. "Zekvyr, I've located Alice. Be prepared to get out of this freaky world and let the Heartless consume it."

[Wyatt: Traverse Town: Second District]
As Wyatt was walking he noticed that one of the girls (Orielle) he saw was walking to the hotel. It looked like she didn't see him, but the other girl (Ayla) noticed Wyatt.
He saw that she was backing away from something. It was some green fog. When Wyatt saw that she noticed him he assumed she was going to say something. However, she didn't. Instead she pointed at the fog like she was demanding that he do something about it, but then she pointed at the highest point of the church. Even before she started walking over to him Wyatt knew what she meant.
She must want me to take her to higher ground, so that the fog can't reach her. The fog must be poisonous or something, so lets take her to higher ground. However, after I get her to higher ground I should go see what is causing the fog.
When Wyatt reached her he thought that she wanted him to carry her. So, Wyatt turned around, bent down some, and pulled his sword out.
Wyatt then said " Here if you want me to carry you, then get on my back. This way if heartless or something attacks us I can use my weapon while you are on me."

"Ah!"" Alex tumbled forward, a very sharp sudden pain shooting through out her body. She landed hard, her sword skidding farther from her reach as another blast sent her flying again. She coughed, and her lungs burned. Poison? This is just not my day... she though, coughing again and forcing herself above the gas as best she could.
Her left arm burned for a moment and warm liquid flowed down underneath the guard. She cursed as her arm hung limply at her side. Great, just what she needed. It to die on her again. She breathed heavily, her chest feeling constricted. That little girl was going to get her butt kicked if they could just hit her! Alex picked up her sword with her good hand, listing a bit as she did so.
Her head pounded and she swayed but didn't fall. I'm really getting tired of her tired sounding voice. With a silent grunt she hefted her sword up.
This was getting reduntant, as she charged Aria again, her left arm swinging behind her, still out of commission.| I simply hunt Heartless, nothing more. If you need that, then I am your girl.|

[ Enyb ]
{Kweh...[Oh my...]}
[Traverse Town: First District]
Oh. Did not expect that.
That's all that crossed the chocobo's mind as it was flung away and tossed oh so conviently into a wall. Said wall, weak from the quakes and tremors, crumbled at the force of the chocobo's body, and Enyb was tossed out into the poisonous fog, which almost immediately started burning his eyes and throat and lungs.
Enyb had a faint recollection of a saying he heard a human say...something about a canary in a coal mine. This must've been what the human had to have been talking about, the chocobo concluded in his dazed state. ((For those that don't know, coal miners would take a caged canary into the coal mine with them as a sort of 'gas sensor'. If the canary suddenly kicked the bucket, it gave the miners a warning that they'd come across a methane(I believe) gas pocket or vent, and they could get out safely. The canary, being smaller, was more susceptible to the gas, thus killing it fairly quickly. Cruel, but true. The more you know~))

ᾼγζᾲ [Current Location: Traverse Town - Ayla “Don’t have a wishbone where your backbone should be.” Ayla wasn't the type to get herself involved with other people. In fat, the girl was locked away in her castle for most of her lie, having no more than Orpheus and any other undead she created to do her bidding. Honestly, she wouldn't have it any other way. After all, sometimes, your best friend could be six feet under.. and still breathing. It was Ayla's preferance, she enjoyed the company of the dead more than the living, and thus, the attention she gave Wyatt was more like the kind you would give someone you looked down on; as if Ayla saw herself as a queen, and Wyatt was no more than a peasant to do her bidding. It was nothing personal, it was just how she treated everyone, including her undead companions and Orpheus even.
When Wyatt spoke to her though and took notice, even offering to help her, the girl was silently thankful, but didn't show it. She would have used Orpheus to do this for her, but since he was so busy 'playing' in the first district, she had to rely on someone else. And seeing as how she had yet to master the telekinenis yet which she planned to use for moving herself around more, she didn't have the chance to go any higher on her own. Still, just before Ayla would take Wyatt's offer, she did devise one strategy, raising up her pointer finger silently as if to tell him to 'hold on one minute.' It didn't seem like Ayla would even speak... probably making Wyatt assume that maybe she was mute.
Beore the gas leaked out too much and got out of hand, Ayla approached the doorway from the first district, her pace and how she walked being incredably casual and calm, like nothing was wrong, and there was no reason to hurry. Ayla would silently draw in one last, large breath before holding it, and then extending her palms, making sure not to breath in any of the gas. In an instant, a cold frost and large crystals of ice began to come from her outstretched palms, blanketing the base of the door to the second district. A cold chill filled the air as she did, and soon enough, the cracks around the doors to between the first and second district were frozen shut from a well aimed and focused blizzard spell. It wouldn't last for very long. Only holding off the gas for a short while before it would either melt in a few minutes, or someine applied enough force to the door to open it. The ice was only a thin layer, allowing anyone to barge the door open rather than being trapped in the first district, but it was still enough to contain the gas or the short while they had.
Once she was done, Ayla turned back to Wyatt, walking towards him as her cloudy gray eyes observed his sword, and she went to climb up his back. She did it very calmly, like she had done this procedure a hundred times before, and wrapped her tiny arms around his shoulders. Overall, the girl in the white dress was incredably light, barely over seventy pounds, and hardly being any inconvienience at all. She didn't thank him with her words, but she would do something for him to return this favor later. For now, they just needed to focus on getting to higher grounds.

Zigmund
Traverse Town Second District
Well, this made things more problematic. There was apparently a gas, most likely poisoned, crawling into the general area. Luckily for him, there we're still people in the district. Particularly, a girl (Ayla) who had just cast something on the door where the gas was coming from, and was now climbing onto the boy's (Wyatt) back.
Feeling he could get some information from these two, Zigmund rushed forward, put on his "people" mask (The mask of my naive former self, a part of him said), and yelled to the strangers.
"Hey! Do you two know whats going on? Where's the gas coming from?"
