"So...Xenny!" Xenon glanced side ways, noting that while his rival herself was apparently still steaming, "Ko" cheering her on somewhat subdued as she started doing one handed push ups, her other more vibrant clone, "Kimi" was now hovering over by him. "Whatcha doin?"
Xenon seemed amused to no end with this little fraction of his rivals self. How intersting it would be to divide someones personality in this manner, he wondered if it would be possible to force this sort of division in someone, he put this at the back of his mind as he resumed his own taijutsu forms. "You have Kimiko's memories don't you? I'm honing my Taijutsu skills in preparation for learning the Sennin Hatchi's style."
Kimi nodded at this. "Right, right," she seemed to be rocking back and forth on the balms of her feet as she watched him "You said that." she seemed to be seeking for a topic of conversation. "Um...hey! I know," she pointed at him. "You're really curious about everything right? So ask me questions Original-sama wouldn't answer!"
Xenon's face twitched slightly, battling the smirk that was threatening to spread across it. Apparently along with Kimiko's rambunctious child like side, was also the side that liked him. This could be very enlightening indeed...

Four strikes block, solar-plex, neck, disable nerve clot located near the base of the shoulder, victory. Xenon was quickly moving through the forms he'd studied, his minds truly remarkable skill at picking things up having improved his taijutsu by league's since his last actual use of them. "So, any question?"
Kimi got a pleased expression on her face as slid down to the ground, adapting a cross legged, almost meditative position. "Yeah!" she snickered suddenly in a way that eerily reminded him of himself, drawing his attention back to the Kage Bushin. Kimi's finger was up next to her face. "Weeelll, almost any question. A girl's gotta keep some secrets." she wagged her finger.
Xenon merely gave a somewhat bemused smirk at the clones behavior. "Very well...how about..." he looked at her out of the corner of his eye more seriously. "Do you remember the first time we met?"
Kimi blinked at him curiously "Ehh? Is that all?" she looked somewhat more mynxish, "I was hoping for something more intrusive Xenny, oh well." she shrugged "Fiiiine." she held her finger up with a somewhat disappointed air It was the first day in class when you agreed to be my nemesis, right? Tsh, how stupid was I, talking about nemesis's and stuff...that's so lame."
Xenon was becoming more and more interested in this little slice of his teammate. Energetic yes, but also somewhat more callous, and, almost fay. He'd also now learned what he'd already suspected. She didn't know that he was the boy she had saved from the older boy on that snowy day so long ago... good, that would only serve to drive her delusions about "Redeeming him".
Kimiko was pushing herself off the ground with a frown, looking over at her other clone "Kimi" as Maboroshi had the nerve to name her, talking with her rival animatedly. Just great...didn't she have any dignity at all!? Her face puffed up in anger.
"Original-sama," Ko noted still crouching at her side. "Do not trouble yourself, we are still a apart of you, she merely wishes for Maboroshi's attention, I do not think she will do anything too embarrassing."
Kimiko looked at Ko somewhat offended "A-are you saying that I want Maboroshi's attention!? Huh?!" Ko merely blinked at her unaffected. Kimiko nearly slumped as she did her next push up. "Okay fine...but it's just because he thinks he's so cool, I want him to admit that I'm strong too, that's all."
Ko nodded matter of factly at this. "Indeed. Maboroshi is our honored rival and friend. I know this." Kimiko nodded at Ko, glad she could at least her it from someone else...even if that someone else was...well, her.

"What, that's all?" Kimi was now lying on the grass, looking up at him upside down as he continued his training.
Xen gave a slight smile. "In truth, I like to think I know much about you already Kimiko-san, and even if I didn't, I'd merely ask you directly about it and watch you explode. It's much more fun that way."
Kimi giggled, her face dripping with contentment. "Right, that's so like you Xenny."she pointed at him. "Say, She was going to ask you, why did you bet that we'd finish the Shadow Clone before the end of the day?"
Xen merely gave a grin. "I saw your chakra's power yesterday if you'll recall, first hand. While I admit before we became Genin I would never have guessed it of you, your unnatural progress since made it a fair wager. Though," he gave a somewhat bemused grin "I never really agreed to that bet. I merely told Sanako-san my opinion."
Kimi still seemed pleased. "I see, that does sound like Mom. To force you into a bet I mean." Kimi tilted her head, giving him an innocently perplexed expression "Did she really come over talk about the mission? I was real suspicious about that ya know."
Xenon shook his head, seeing no reason to keep Sanako's secrets for her, particularly from Kimiko. "No, she wanted to tell me she would be looking after me, apparently an old friend asked her too."
Kimi suddenly looked intrigued, her smile growing. "Oh! She lied! Awesome! Did she tell the old friends name? Huh Xenny? Come on tell the name! I wanna know!"

Kimiko sent a sharp glare at her Clone, dispersing both in with her will. She'd been annoyed at "Kimi's" interaction with with her rival, but as soon as the memories of the clone sunk in, she blinked somewhat surprised. "Huh?" she looked over at Xenon and called neutrally "Hey, what WAS their name?"
Xenon answered as though the conversation had not even been interupted, as though talking via one's shadow clones was a casul form of communication. "She didn't say," he struck at the dummy four more times. "All she mentioned was that it was an old friend."
Kimiko's eyes narrowed slightly as she returned to doing push ups. Someone her mother used to know? Was it one of her old team? But...how would they know Maboroshi? Maybe she could...
"Hey Maboroshi, do you have any idea who it could be?"
Xenon nodded, kicking the dummy in the side before reposting and striking at the chest. "No," he said between blows. "not specifically at any rate. I know someones been looking after me since my parents deaths, but beyond that, I can think of no one."
Kimiko had scooted closer to him as she switched hands so as to hear him better. "Hm? Looking after you? Like how?"
Xenon decided rather quickly not to mention that this persons Idea of "looking after" included murdering anyone involved Tokotiki village, but they had helped him out in a fair many other ways as well, far subtler.
"Little things here and there," Xenon mused trying to pin down specific examples "A blanket when I wake up, food placed mysteriously in my possession, after I was separated from Mokutan during that storm, it was them that guided me here to Oto."
Kimiko was now listening somewhat fascinated, doing her exercises absently. Could it be...

Xenon stopped his Taijutsu form, his eyes staring at the blank face of the dummy. "There were several times when I've found myself being followed by a mysterious figure, hooded and cloaked, yet they always just seem content to watch me from a distance. It's at times a bit annoying really."
Kimiko was now pushing herself upward, her legs in the air, and her hands of the ground as attempted to defy gravity with pure muscle. "I don't know if that's cool...or creepy."
Xenon adjusted his glasses "Indeed."
Kimiko seemed to be thinking it over in her head for a moment. Could it really be either one of her mother's old team? Why would they know Maboroshi? Maybe it was another person from her mothers sorted past? She furrowed her brow rolling this thought around. "But...why would they ask her to look after you now?" she suddenly asked.
Xenon looked at her side long, a small smile on his face. He seemed pleased "Yes, very good Kimiko-san, that's it exactly." he turned his gaze back to the dummy. "After all this why would they ask Sanako to watch over me, when they've apparently been doing so them-self so diligently, what has changed now that has chaused this sudden change?"
The question was rhetorical, but Kimiko could tell he didn't know the answer either. "Was it us becoming Genin on the same team? Or maybe that whole thing with Nakamura? Those were some dangerous situations, maybe they just wanted an extra set of eyes out with you getting into all this trouble."
Xenon nodded "Yes, or it could be that they suddenly have a more pressing issue to deal with, and they'll be away for awhile, in either case, there's still no way to confirm the theory." He reached inside one of his many pockets, pulling out a length of string.
Kimiko recognized the gesture. It was what Maboroshi did to help himself think, she'd seen it before. It really befuddled the mind how he was able to weave that string into such intricate patterns without even looking... still she continued her own labor.

"So Kimiko-san, if you don't mind me asking," Xenon was lacing the string about each finger, preparing to begin his mental workout. "What exactly do you plan to do now that you have this Kage Bushin?"
Kimiko flopping down from her hand stand into a roll, looking up at him as she stretched for the next exercise. "What do you mean "going to do"?"
Xenon clarified "What I mean is, you've mastered that Jutsu, yes, but surely you don't think that it's enough?" he looked at her somewhat expectantly "What Jutsu were you planning on mastering next?"
Kimiko blinked. She hadn't really given it too much thought. She'd learned about the Hien from Xen and her mother, but she really didn't know if she would need to be fighting any tekkenseisai so soon...still... it would be an incredibly powerful technique if you took her now massive chakra reserves into play... she blinked. "Well...I was thinking about trying the Hien."
Xenon nodded logically. "Yes, that would certainly fit well alongside your powerful ninjutsu, it would make your swordsmanship quite formidable." he was looking off into the distance now. "I myself was thinking of the Telescpoe technique, once I've mastered Hatchi's Martial style."
Kimiko looked at him curiously "What's the telescope technique?"

Xenon's fingers had already begun to weave the string into complex patterns as she regained her balance, and continued to push up against the ground, her feet suspended in the air. "The telescope technique is complex, but incredibly effective Jutsu information gathering technique that was designed for espionage." He didn't even seem to be looking at the string, but rather off over the training field. "It's said it was invented by the third Hokage of Kohnoha, though that isn't confirmed, and is difficult to master. It's effectiveness far out weighs it's difficult however. It allows the user to see far off places anywhere within the space of an entire nation, and what's more all one needs is a crystal to refract the image into."
Kimiko looked amazed "There's a jutsu like that? Whoa!" she didn't even want to begin thinking about how useful such a jutsu would be. Maboroshi would be able to spy on his enemies from three towns away! Forget infiltrating hidden locations, someone with this technique could observe the activities of a base dozens of miles away. Maboroshi could even... she frowned still pushing herself, away from the ground.
"You would pick a jutsu that's good for spying on people Maboroshi...you really are nosy about other people aren't you?"
Xenon smiled "Perhaps, but take heart Mokutan can't learn it, he suggested we use it to spy on you while you were..." Kimiko had frozen mid push, looking murderous. "Well," Xenon concluded brightly "I see you get the concept."
"Stupid pervert bird..."

"Hey Maboroshi..." The two were now across from one another, Kimiko doing her work out as Xenon worked with the string as though his fingers were playing a rather furious piano number.
"Hm?" His tone was lackadaisical, his eyes looking bored, but still somehow mellow.
"You...what exactly do you want to do when you become," she rolled her eyes. "The absolute strongest." She knew that to be his apparent goal, and on some level, she was beginning to understand his reasoning behind that now. She didn't know if she'd call it scared, but Maboroshi didn't want to risk involving himself to deeply into matters over which he had no control...that was why he sought his power. He didn't want to be helpless again...now if only she could show him that it was worth the risk...
Xenon rolled his neck slightly, hearing a satisfying crack, relieving the slight tension in his shoulder, he proceeded to answer "Nothing in particular. Why? Did you expect some answer like:" he suddenly adapted a more frightening smirk, his glasses shining over in the glare of the sun as he tilted his head at just the right angle. "Why, take over the world of course!" his face became a mellow smile again "Or maybe even something like:" his face returned to it's more manic grin "I'll learn all the Jutsu everywhere!" again back to a mellow smile. "Or even-"
"Okay, okay," Kimiko cut him off "I get it." she couldn't help but smile though. she seemed more cheerful now for some reason. "What I mean is, you don't really seem the type to aim for a position like Otokage or anything, right?" Xenon nodded plainly "So what is it that you intend to do as a ninja? Just...be a Jounin and retire? Join Anbu? The Hunter Nin?"
Xenon seemed rather unconcerned. "All possibiltes save the retiring part." he noted, "But your right, I've no goal to become a Kage under any circumstances. Far too much of a bother."
"So, what?" Kimiko pressed.

Xenon seemed entirely at ease. "Well, I've not really any intention of spending the rest of my life repaying my debt to oto." he shrugged "I'm grateful, but I can't see myself spending the rest of my life in a Chain of command." he gave a somewhat bemused smile. "It's not really my...what would YOU call it, style?"
Kimiko was looking somewhat tense now. "So...you...you would actually become a Missing Nin?"
Xenon laughed at her reaction. "No Kimiko-san, you'd might have to fight me then, and I would never do that to you." his tone was so light and airy it sounded unconvincing.
Kimiko picked up on this. "Maboroshi..."
Xenon then fell a tad more serious. "Relax, I've no intention of breaking my vow of service, I plan on serving with such distinction they will not refuse my request to release me from it."
Kimiko looked at him somewhat incredulously. "So, what, when you've helped the village enough you're just going to say "Hey, can I leave?" and expect them to say "Well sure there Maboroshi!""
Xenonb was chuckling at her face as she did the impression of what could only be assumed to be the village. "Well, it sounds silly when you say it like that, but yes. Even if that doesn't work, earning the status of Sennin would be close enough. I just want autonomy you understand."
Kimiko gave a sigh, even as she pushed herself up into the air again, her muscles straining from the work out. "Yeah okay, I guess that does sound like you." she smiled a little again. "You know, I kind of pictured you becoming a mad scientist or something when we were in the academy. You know with your coat and everything."
Xenon looked suddenly intrigued. "Hmm..."Mad Scientist" ..?"
Kimiko nodded upside down. Sure, you know like in books and stuff. "I'll experiment on you!" or" she adapted a creepier voice "Let's dismember you and see what makes you tick! MUAHA!" she then returned to normal. "That kind of thing."
Xenon was looking a little bit TOO intrigued for her opinion. "Hmm, "Experiment"...I like the sound of that word...Expeeeeriment. Hm." he dawned his disturbing smile.
Kimiko looked slightly Pale. "H-hey Maboroshi, don't even joke like that!"
Xenon snickered, dropping the ruse as he continued his mental exercise.

"Hey Maboroshi?"
"Hm?"
Kimiko was now doing sit ups, her eyes staring at the sky. "Do you ever wonder what you'd be if you weren't a ninja?" She had certainly thought about it alot, and she really couldn't see herself doing anything else...accept maybe becoming a samurai...those guys were awesome! Still, beyond fighting and being a hero for justice, she really couldn't imagine herself on any other path in life.
"Probably a Mad scientist."
"Maboroshi!" she scolded.
He chuckled, then answered seriously. "I'm not really sure...probably..." his eyes become somewhat pensive for a moment. He knew the answer of course. If he hadn't been driven down this path, if he hadn't had his illusions shattered... he'd probably be "A doctor..." he muttered almost unconsciously.
Kimiko looked at him upside down from her sit up position. "Huh? Did you say a doctor?" she looked suddenly cheerful "Really? Is that why you wear the coat?" she seemed pleased "I never really thought you were the type Maboroshi, you'd be the the last person I'd ever think of entering a line of work entirely dedicated to helping other people."
Xenon looked up at the sky. "I'm not any more," Kimiko's smile faltered somewhat "and yes, that is why I wear the coat, remember?" he smirked at the blue sky. "To remind me of broken dreams?"
Kimiko looked exasperated again. "Come on Maboroshi, you shouldn't stop dreaming just-"
Xenon interupted her. "You misunderstand, I don't mean to remind me to stop dreaming, I mean to remind me of what happens when you can't protect those dreams."
Kimiko had no response to this, merely looking back to the sky conflicted, and they returned to training in silence for a time.

"Hey Maboroshi..."
"Hm?"
Kimiko was now in the middle of squats, the weights really starting to make her feel these regular exercises. "Do you think that we could really do it?" Xen looked at her quizzically "Become the best I mean." she looked upwards, thinking about it with an innocent expression on her face. "I mean, Raine, you and me, we're really strong for ordinary Genin, I know that..." she recalled the presence of Nakamura, the feel of that dangerous Missing Nin that had attacked the village just before the would call it a peace conference, or a peace concert? She could even feel it around Kasuke. The overpowering presence of a truly strong ninja. Could they really reach that level? It wasn't that she doubted herself, it was more she just thought it so far away.
"Yes." Xenon's answered was so quick, so without hesitation, it was as though there really was no room to doubt him. He truly believed it. Did he think they could? It was far more then that, he knew they would. In Xenon's mind it was merely a matter of time. Someday, along that distant road to his evetual destiny, he would look back and marvel at his own confidence...but at the same time he knew he was right... Team four's members would become infamous in the Ninja world, he was certain. It was just a matter of time...
Kimiko didn't even seem flustered or suprised. She seemed more to think she'd been acting silly to think otherwise. "Yeah...sorry, stupid question." she laughed to herself.

Raine brushed his shorts off, trying to remove the grass stains from before, he sighed it was no use. The boy had eaten and had figured there was no where else to be except here and it was actually getting to be late. He had let Pi into the bag of crickets he had won and the little creature was silently content on devouring them. As he stepped up onto the wooden stoop and looked up at the large 4 painted onto the house he hoped Dash wouldn't be there, that would be just too awkward. Then he thought of Kimiko or Xen being there, for the first time that morning his appearance dawned on him.
Raine looked down over himself, his shorts were covered in grass stains and dirt, his shirt was the same. His hair had been drenched in dirty pond water than dried in an odd position. Not only that, but small bird feathers from the parrots he had caught were sprinkled around and in his hair. He sighed, there was no fixing this.... Quickly he pulled up his mohawk to the best of his ability and creaked open the door, peeking inside. the light were on and he found Kimiko and Xen. He stepped inside with a bright smile. "Jeeze, Xen. I didn't think you were cheap enough to keep your dates at headquarters." he laughed at his own joke knowing it wasn't very clever but none the less. The entire morning his soul motivation was beating Xen, the frustration was growing.

A vein ticked on Kimiko's head. She got to her feet looking as though she might very well breathe fire any second...because she actually could, as previously stated, this was somewhat more of threat. "WHY DO PEOPLE KEEP ASSUMING-"
"I believe he was joking Kimiko-san." Xenon seemed now to be absently fiddling with the string between his fingers, weaving the complex designs and patterns that his mind had memorized, before disestablishing them, and moving on the next.
"Oh..." Kimiko blinked, her face returning to it's usual harmless air. She then seemed to put it behind her and smiled "Afternoon Raine!"
"Indeed," Xenon then raised an eyebrow, looking mellowly curious at their teammate's rather rough appearance. "You certainly seem to have had an interesting morning Raine." he looked at Kimiko sidelong "You could stand to learn a thing or two Momoe-san, here poor Raine is working himself half to death, and you probably spent the whole morning doing nothing."
Kimiko looked at him sidelong, giving him an exasperated glare. "Yeah right Maboroshi, you KNOW that I was busting my butt mastering the Kage Bushin so don't even pretend!"
Xenon was now smiling in his knowing manner. "Really? Well I a suppose I should feel ashamed then, I'm the only person who wasn't working this morning."
Kimiko pointed at him accusatory. "Lies." she stated with all the certainty of an executioner.
"No, really," Xenon said calmly, still fiddling with the string without looking. "I slept in this morning, no training whatsoever." One could almost SEE the light hearted sarcasm dripping from his words. "You can ask Mokutan."
Kimiko crossed her arms. "Moku would say Walrus's are kind lovable creatures if you told him to! That wouldn't prove anything." she bonked him harmlessly on the head, as seemed to be some kind of habit of hers. "Baka! I know your lying!"
Xenon merely chuckled, turning his gaze to Raine. "So, is there a story that goes with all of those feathers. It wasn't pigeons was it? I have it on authority from Mokutan that they are a nasty breed."

Raine sunk back horrified from Kimiko's threat. He pulled his hands up to his side with the palms facing outward. Hey, Hey!" Xen cut in and Kimiko pulled off. He flopped to the floor dramatically before pulling himself up.
"You certainly seem to have had an interesting morning Raine."
He blushed a bit trying to brush himself off. He didn't want to have to talk about what he was training for. In stead he stayed quiet and walked over to the ping-pong table where Dash had left the boxes of shuriken and Kunai. He opened the shuriken box and fumbled around with the shiny metal.
"Yeah right Maboroshi, you KNOW that I was busting my butt mastering the Kage Bushin so don't even pretend!"
Raine started, he looked up to Kimiko, No, her too? he sighed, it seemed he was behind both of them now. His stomach sunk in his gut. He would have to work even harder.
"So, is there a story that goes with all of those feathers. It wasn't pigeons was it? I have it on authority from Mokutan that they are a nasty breed."
"No. It was some parrots that got loose. I had to track them down and jump them." he pushed the box towards the side of the table. "I saw Dash earlier and he told me that these were for us. He even got these little radios." Raine picked up the one that Dash had taken from the box earlier, examining it for the first time. It seemed to go around a neck. "He said we were working on some team strategy."
