With a fake "Oof" when he hit the tree, Bradley made sure to check its condition. Sure enough, it took more damage than he did, but he didn't really care. He snorted a laugh, before responding. "No, no, if I wanted your hair to look like a wet poodle, I'd just have to...." He said, his hand raising up in "snap position" in between both of them. He grinned a terribly mischevious wicked smile at her.

Marie's eyes widened. Humidity. The one thing in weather she tried to avoid making. It would totally mess with her hair. "Don't you dare.." She said, horrified that he would actually consider doing such a thing. .

Bradley grinned wider, the wicked look in his eye just growing stronger. He lifted his 'snapping' hand up in front of her face, and let his fingers slide across eachother without a sound. His smile turned to that of an older brother who just got his little sister into a ton of trouble, then he stuck out his tounge at her. Owned.

Marie thought of something that might make him stop. "Don't make me bring out the sun..." She said, for other people were walking, out and about on the Saturday afternoon, and more were bound to come out if the sun was out too. .

(I hope you know you can't have rain without humidity... stare )
Bradley stopped cold in his tracks, and if he actually had any color in his face, it would've drained straight out. "So it's your hair or my life?" He said in a terrified monotone, watching her closely. Anything but the sun. He didn't want to sparkle, which by far was his least favorite thing about being a vampire. He was absolutely appauled that she would even think of doing such a thing. Suddenly disapearing into nothing seemed like a really good idea.

( 3nodding yeah, i know, but, being a girl, marie would do her best to keep a humidity free atmosphere around her as best as she could. whee )
Marie suddenly smiled brilliantly. "Nope, just kidding!" She said, giving him a quick kiss on the cheek before turning around and continuing her walk home, hoping he would join her shortly. .

(I'm still not sure how that's possible, but... we're talking sparkly vampires, so...)
Bradley watched her walk away, his feet still rooted to the ground. Was this really such a good idea after all? If she could joke like that, what would happen if she really did get mad? If she got mad, and made it sunny, and the Volturi found out... He gulped hard, and unwillingly followed in her footsteps, still looking like he'd seen a ghost.

Marie noticed after a few seconds that he didn't join her. She turned to look at him. He at least left the tree and was following her. "Oh, comeon.." She said upon seeing his face. "You don't think I'd actually do that, do you? For one, you could probably dispose of me before I could do that, two, you could probably run for cover before I could do that, and three, the Volturi would find me to blame as well as you, so we'd both be toast." She said, explaining logically why he didn't need to worry about her exposing him. .

(Right on. Though I have to say, it does make them a lot more cuddly than the traditional ones. I think I'd laugh if I saw someone sparkling, especially if they looked like they did in the movies.)
Bradley looked at her, fear still clearly in his eyes. "And what if I didn't have the heart to dispose you? Didn't have anywhere to run? Had the heart to take the blame?" He said, his voice low and monotonular. He kept his eyes in the distance on nothing in particular. He looked down to her, the fear not extinguished by any measure.

Marie felt bad now. She had only meant it to be teasing. "Bradley, I don't have the heart to harm anyone intentionally. Especially someone who gave me a chance." She said simply. "I was only teasing, and didn't mean it. I'm sorry." Marie said, truly remorseful. .

(True, but I still think when they sparkle they look like when you poke holes in paper and shine a light through it. Random sparkly vampire related thought: I kind of really miss BML.)
Bradley nodded, and with her words much of the fear was extinguished. He did believe that she only meant to tease him, but he deffinitely didn't trust her enough to believe she couldn't harm anyone intentionally. Of course, that was coming from a guy who hunted people fairly often. "It's alright, I guess." He responded, a bit of tone coming back to his voice, and he loosened the tightened muscles all over his body. Though her words helped, he still was on edge.

( i do too...i miss having pandora and aaron and rosalie and emmett...lol, i actually have kittens named rosalie and emmett now, and they are from two different litters...hehe.. )
Marie realized that part of what she said could be misleading. "By the way, I gave up hunting humans ages ago, I just raid blood banks every now and then for one bag or two." She informed him. "And, I'll do anything to prove to you that I wouldn't do that to you..." She said, despite the fact that she was setting herself up there, she didn't really care, for she wanted him to know she was telling the truth. .

(Yeah, me too. BML was so cool (minus the inactivity at the end). Ha, I actually named my cat Voldemort because I think she's secretly plotting to kill me.)
Bradley shrugged, not sure how to answer that. "I guess only time will tell, and we've got ages..." He said, his voice trailing off for a second, as he thought. "Well, atleast I do. I don't really know enough about your kind to be able to speak for you." He looked to the side, his muscles still tight. He then stared up at the sky, watching the grey clouds swirl above.

(lol, i had had a cat named crookshanks, and lily..my cat now, the one i got for my 18th b-day, her name is Karma.. )
Marie smirked. "I finished growing at the age of seven. I looked just as I do now, then. I'm pretty sure it's a permanate thing" She explained, noticing that he looked up at the sky. She darkened them, and they now looked like storm clouds. "Well, we might want to hurry before we get caught in a bit of nasty weather." .
