He stopped licking Hanaka and twitched his tail, suddenly nervous. He glanced down at their paws and slowly nodded his head as if he were accepting it as fact. If any, this was his chance. All he knew was...
"I don't want to lose you Flower..." He muttered as he listened to her response. Good so far he thought to himself with a sigh. "Flower...I...you..I-I, Flower I love you." He said finally, pushing his words past his sudden nerves.

Hanaka rubbed her head against Mercutio's, "No need to be nervous, lover boy." She said, with a smile, "Because I love you, too." She was happy to report to herself she wasn't nervous. She was, strangly, quite comfortable... aside from the butterflies in her stomach at hearing him. She licked his nose and placed her head on his paws, quietly enjoying every moment of being near him.

"I'm not nervous! I don't get nervous." He held his head high in the air and winked at her. "Flowers don't understand my cool ways."
Laying his head gently atop hers, Mercutio flattened his ears against his head and relaxed. He was at ease, true peace for once and no matter what their future held, he knew he'd try to make her happy for the the rest of their days. Rubbing his head against hers, Mercutio laughed softly.
"Well, guess I gotta tell Santa Paws to not bring me a nice female moonlit to hang out with this holiday." He said jokingly.

Hanaka giggled, "That's right." She smiled and looked up at him in time to see him wink. She placed her head softly on his paws again, feeling him lay his on hers, she smiled broader. Her ears fell back and her tail wagged slowly. "Santa Paws wouldn't bring me. He'd bring you, silly!" She giggled.

"I'd attack Santa Paws if he tried to stick my in that sack of his." Mercutio said with a laugh. "I wouldn't fit anyways, I'm just a tad too big. You'd fit wonderfully in his bag and in a cute stocking!"
Mercutio lifted his head from Hanaka and stood to stretch. He walked slowly away from her and then turned back to look at her, his tail wagging gently. He smiled softly, wondering if now was the right time to ask what he really wanted to.

Hanaka giggled at Mercutio's statement, acknowledging his sudden growth. She was quite jealous. She was ready for her second growth spurt, but it wasn't coming. She smiled and lifted her head slightly so Mercutio could stand up. She watched him closely, wagging her tail with his. She smiled at him, "If I begged Santa Paws with my puppy face, he'd make it work! He IS Santa Paws." She said with a giggle, "And trust me, I'd beg." She winked at him, another giggle escaping her.

"Well then, beg him because I want to see you wrapped under the tree in Starr's room christmas morning." Mercutio said with a laugh. He looked off into the sky and then back at her, walking towards her again to warm her once again from the cold. If she got sick because of him, he wouldn't be able to forgive himself. "This year has gone by extremely fast hasn't it?"
He sat down beside her and wrapped his tail around her body as best he could, grateful that he had grown as quickly as he had.

"Quite!" Hanaka agreed. The year had gone by quickly. Although, she wasn't all the way grown up, she had grown. And she had met the one she truly wanted to be with forever. Which was quite a nice little thing... or big thing, anyway. She smiled at Mercutio and turned to look at him, "I really do love you, you know." She said, not sure what compelled her to do so. Content with that, she placed her head once more on his paws. The snow was forming around her, making a nice blanket of cold, but she seemed to be getting used to it. She was really cold anymore. Although, hot milk and some pickles sounded pretty good right then. She shrugged it off and looked at Mercutio with a wink.

"I... know that." He said gently, staring off into the snowy sky. A new year was approaching and he'd have someone to be with when it came. That feeling alone made him feel as if his heart was about to burst and he glanced back down Hanaka, his flower.
"And I love you with every ounce of my heart. I want this...to never end" He smirked at her and gave his tail a quick wag. "I want happiness I can only find with you...I want you Flower, I want you as my mate and my only love."

Hanaka smiled at Mercutio, her heart fluttering. 'I am such a sap.' She thought with a giggle. She listened and smiled bigger, wagging her tail. "I want the same, Mercy." she responded with a light wag of her tail and licked his nose, "In other words, yes. I'll bee your mate." Hanaka giggled and pressed her nose against his. "Forever and ever."

Mercutio let out a sharp, happy back and jumped in the air with a quick spin. He nuzzled his head against hers lovinly and he was breathless almost. He had never been so happy before ever in his life and he never wanted this feeling to go away.
"Forever...and ever... Flower." He whispered, continuing to nuzzle against her. "You such a wonderful queen my dear."

Hanaka looked at Mercutio with a smile. She giggled at his response, amazed at his joy... which obviously rubbed off on her. She even jumped up, realizing her leg had healed instantly. She smiled, looking up at the sky, snow falling gently on her nose. She sneezed and giggled, looking at Mercutio with her head tilted. "As long as you're my king." she smiled and licked his nose, her tail wagging excitedly.

Wolfie was already out into the woods, quickly pacing her way down the path, a stream of moonlits at her heels. She wasnt even sure half of them were hers. Normally, she would have stopped to have found their owners, but Christmas was in the air today, and for a moment or two or three, she planned on ejoying the sponteneous nature of things.

Starr trudged along with Lucian close at her side. Surprisingly, she wasn't cold in the least and looked around for any sign of a good tree. She caught sight of Mercutio and Hanaka out in the middle of the yard in the snow before she entered the woods after Wolfie and wondered what the two of them were doing out in the snow. Shrugging her shoulders, she continued on, starting to hum a 'Jingle Bells' loudly.
He smirked, laughed at her sneeze. It was just a normal sneeze but to him, she looked so cute when she sneezed that he found it extremely funny. He shook his head and caught sight of the humans walking off towards the woods and rolled his eyes, tearing his gaze from them to look back at Hanaka.
"Flower, I don't want you catching your death out here." He said in a concerned voice over the sneeze he had found funny.

~*~Merry Christmas ...~*~
Faith ran out after them, "Gosh! Leave me why don't you!" she hollered, catching up and stopping next to Starreh. She decided better on standing next to Wolfie. She was a woman on a mission and it scared her. She chuckled at the thought and kept moving, looking for a nice tree to decorate.
Hanaka giggled and smiled at Mercutio. "All right, Mercy. Where do we want to go chill out at? I reccomend not the kitchen. It's incredibly violent and cluttered with moonlits last time we were there. Who knows how bad it is now?" She pointed out, catching a glimpse of the human skittering away. She got a little curious. "Or we could follow the humans and Lucian."
