Kat let out a small chuckle as she unlocked Jarred's SUV and climbed in. "Sounds like a decent enough plan. Did you catch all that Roxy?" Kat asked, glancing at the water bottle and giving it a short shake. Her smile tweaked a bit tighter. "I suppose we'll roll with the flow, then, and hope we come out of this unscathed."

"We'll stay away from the situation. Maybe pose as FBI after the cops leave and gather some info for us."

As Kat and Rook drove to Sam's neighborhood, it was easy to note that the majority of the event had calmed down. Nieghbors and cops had left the family to be on their own (aside from the unit assigned to parole the neighborhood to make sure no one came back).
Kat parked a distance away, glancing to Rook. The streets were dark, except for the occasional flickering street lamp, and perfectly quiet. "you wanna dress up as a cop and scout things a bit while i stay here?"

"So you do telepathy as well?" Kat asked but sharpened it with a grin, "relax, I'll stick around. Just don't get yourself shot or something."

Kat let out a soft laugh,"I can, but this better not be a soft excuse to kiss me again." She leaned forward, meeting his lips, her own coated with the sweet tang of cherry soda. The flavor spread through his mouth, sinking in as it absorbed like a drug. Kat pulled back, her teasing smile gone, as she locked eyes, "Don't get addicted to it."
She pulled back, "now get out there and do your cop stuff."

Rook pulled away, flashing her a small smile. "Mostly 'cause it was useful, but a kiss from a pretty lady is never a bad thing." He replied, stepping away, and headed towards the house.

Kat shook her head, "In some cases it is, Rook. In some cases it is." She tossed him the bottle of water so Roxy could listen in as well, before leaning back into the seat of the SUV. She kept her mind intune with his, as he headed towards the house, though also made note of searching around the SUV and seeing what kind of stuff this Jarred guy kept in his glove compartment and seat pockets.

He replied, walking up to the house, knocking on the door sharply, having changed into something more official and FBI looking before arriving.

What was in the SUV was normal stuff: the necessary paperwork, a lighter, some gum, a dish of change, and nothing much of note. Oh, and a leash. As for the 'Sam's reaction' that'll move to the thread where he is. ((Sam's funtime experience getting hit by a car and then getting targeted by keepers here)) ((Jump to Rook being a cop on the bottom of page 2))

Maya sat up quickly, then regretted it as the blood came rushing to her head. "Oh...Not smart, Maya. C'mon....Get up." She struggled to her feet and looked around. Nothing seemed out of the ordinary on the lawn of the church she slept by. She couldn't bring herself to sleep in the church, because it violated her beliefs. She didn't know why she was so attracted to the church though. The crumbly old stone building was a testament to the power of man and nature. She sighed and stretched. The hustle and bustle of the street outside the gates drew her like a moth to flame.

Arch the Angel What was in the SUV was normal stuff: the necessary paperwork, a lighter, some gum, a dish of change, and nothing much of note. Oh, and a leash. As for the 'Sam's reaction' that'll move to the thread where he is. Kat and Rook returned in glory....well not really, but they returned with clothes and hair dye. Kat made sure to wink and blow a kiss at the doorman as she entered, for the hell of it, and made her way to the elevator, fiddling with her hair on the way up. A minute later she pushed Jarred's door open, and walked in with a couple of bags. "Hey, Jarred-guy," she said, without looking at him and headed towards the hallway, "Roxy! We got you some decent...or more decent threads." She paused, realizing Roxy may have already known that, and set the bag for Roxy to the side as she tossed her things into the guest bedroom.

"I think she's still in the tub, listening in." Jarred said, sprawled out on the couch. The TV and radio were on, though not loud enough to be troublesome, and he was working on a physical-puzzle.

Rook sat down on the chair, watching him put the puzzle together, and then turned back to Kat, "Well, now what?"
