Chi smiled slightly. " You shall be the master of tending to roses once I'm done with you." His tail flicked beneath him in the water. He'd just had an idea. " Hmm. Whats your favourite flower ?" He asked, attempting to place his arm around his mate without sinking.

"Well thats good news, i wouldnt really want to screw up anything that beatiful" he said remembering reading somewhere that rose matanice was hard "My favorite flower is the old english rose though I love any flower really, you?" he asked his mate as he squeezed his hand a little

Chi shook his head. " You wouldn't screw it up. Taking care of roses is easy once you get the hang of it. Plus they smell beautiful when taken care of ... " Eyes moved and rested on his mate. " The old english rose ... a beautiful flower... I don't really have a favourite ... but I have grown rather fond of lilys ... " Well, now he had an idea of what to get his mate.

Hao listened and remembered another flower that he loved "Lotus blossoms are a fond favorite of mine also. I guess though China is home of them so its understandable but I used to be able to do such beautiful water arangments with them when I was growing up. I cant draw to save myself but in water i can make art, the blossoms helped me and I became rather good at it though now i have lost the ability since it has been so long since i have done anything like it" he said trailing off remebering when he was around 10 yers old that he started this peices of art.

"Lotus blossoms ? I've never seen one of those around here before." Chi said, wondering where he could find some. He wanted to watch Hao make art with flowers. " Well, I'm sure you haven't lost the ability, you just need to practise .. I'm sure you'll remember in no time "

Hao smiled at him "I havent seen lotus blossoms anywhere but China myself, I have been to several countries in my travels but china always seems to be the only place that I can find the blossoms. And your right I probably do just need practice but the last time I practiced with them was when I was like 45 years old, before I started traveling and so I have just no way of getting the blossoms. I know i will pick it up again but with nothing to help me relearn it it becomes more and more a memory and one to keep myself thinking about.
I could always just take you back with me to China and we could have me do it there, I mean, a holiday might be good for you, James and I and it would be fun as well, i wouldnt mind seeing China again especially after all this time" he said to his mate remebering his home country and how he missed it terribly dispite the fact that he was more then happy here with his mates and new family.

" I've only seen them in books. " Chi said, closing his eyes to enjoy the feeling of floating with his mate. He was silent, even after Hao had finished speaking. After taking everything said, in, the fox opened his eyes. " Then how about ... my christmas present to you ... a holiday to China ?" The fox suggested. " For all three of us ?"

Hao had been floating along with his eyes closed and was totally relaxed that he had been listening to the fox yet sort of drifting off into his own little world at the same time. When Chi said what he said about the trip he lost his concintration and fell into the water a bit before making him float once again in the water and smiled at him "darling, I would love to accept the trip but its far to much, I wouldnt feel right accepting it, if we paid our own way or if you let me pay for it since I have way more then enough money for this but i couldnt ask you to pay for this when its to much" he said softly to him hoping he hadnt offended his mate.

Chi moved in the water once his mate vanished beneath it. He was now treading water as best he could. " I don't mind paying. I've never had anyone to spend money on before. Now I have, I want to give you the best christmas present I can." The fox began. " Its not too much. I have money left from my mother. She always told me to save it and wait until someone special came along. Now I have someone special. But, if you want to pay then .." He said shrugging, he wasn't offended. Just wanted to do something nice for his mate.

Hao swam over to him and wrapped his arms around his mates waist "ok then, I will let you by the tickets" he said as he hugged him tight "thank you my darling, I love you so much" he said as he nuzzled him a little

Chi wrapped his arms loosely around his mates neck. Feet gently kicking. " Good ... because I wanted to get you something special for christmas. I don't care how much it costs." He said, forehead resting on his mates shoulder for a moment, gently nuzzling into his neck. " Anything for you ... love you " He whispered.

Hao could say nothing, he felt so special right now that words couldnt even describe how he felt. He loved this fox so much, he wrpped his arms around him just held him close to his body, enjoying the feel of his body agiesnt the foxes and sighed contentedly as he rested his head agiesnt the foxes shoulder. "

Chi held the one he treasured most. Head rested against Hao's for a moment, before gaze lowered down to him. Watching his mate for a moment, the fox gave him a gentle kiss, then pulled back a few seconds later. " So ... any particular date you would like to go ?"

Hao looked up at him and smiled softly as he was kissed and kissed back and nuzzled him a little before looking at him once again "how about we go over when the chinese new year begins? The festivel they have in honor of it being a new year is always so beautiful and a treat to see and I know you and James would love it." he said as he rested his head agiesnt the foxes shoulder "I havent seen one in ages either, I would love to see if they have changed anything or added anything" he said as he sighed conentely holding onto his mate.

Chi's gaze rested on Hao's for a moment, then he nodded. " I've always wanted to see how the chinese celebrate new year. I've seen clips on tv, but I want to see it all.... " The fox said, eyes closing and his head rested against his mates gently. " We'll go then. All three of us can watch the new year over here, then go and see the chinese new year. " The fox promised.
