Rhian's antennae flicked and she frowned, turning to Lauss and hugging him snugly. "Don't be sad, Lauss-teacher, you didn't say anything wrong. You just said it in a way that people get the wrong feelings about it," she said laying her head on his shoulder for a moment.

Faolan nodded. "Rhian's right. Sometimes it's not what's said, but how it's said. People can get th' wrong impression.
"Are w' interruptin'?" Rory called out as he and Lee came in.

"But... How do I know how to make the right impression?" The alter couldn't say he wasn't just a tad cheered up to have Rhian clinging so closely to him, and while he didn't understand why, he was starting to enjoy hugging more and more.
Lee wandered farther inside, eventually sitting on the ground in front of where Ellandra was. She'd avoid the table for now, seeing that it seemed to be where everyone's focus was.

Rhian tilted her head and looked at Faolan. "I don't know how, Lauss-teacher," she said quietly, reaching up and stroking Lauss-hair - ooh, it was so soft! - as she continued, "Faolan, do you know how to help Lauss-teacher?"
Ellandra looked down at Lee and smiled at her. "Hello, Lee - how are you?"

"Well, I'd say a good way t' help him is let him spend time around others t' get better at his social skills," Faolan said, then glanced at Rory. "Rory, you're gonna be visitin' Lee from time t' time, aye? Why not help th' lad out on some social graces? He didnae get many chances t' talk t' others at th' Katan household."
Rory nodded. "Sure, I donnae mind. I know how hard it is makin' new friends."

Now that Ellandra was talking to her, Lee took it upon herself to scoot up and sit next to her on the couch. Leaning in to whisper to the woman, she smiled as she said, "Very, very, very good. He doesn't hate me yet."
Lauss perked up in his seat, looking excitedly from Faolan to Rory, and occassionally back to Rhian before giving a wide grin. "Mister Rory will be my social mentor?" More learning was always a good thing. He assumed the boy must be a master with social skills, and would be studying his techniques as closely as he could.

Ellandra smiled at Lee and hugged the teenager for a moment. "That's not going to happen at all, I think," she said in a quiet voice. "Hate's the last thing you'll need to worry about."
Rhian broke away from her hug and blinked at Lauss, then gazed around the room with ide eyes. "But - but that's what I'm supposed to do!" She meant her purpose, of course, as she was a social spark and a mentor at that, but knew better than to say it exactly as such. But then. . . she wasn't very good at it, so maybe Mister Rory would be able to help Lauss-teacher more than she could. As long as he didn't kiss him. Lauss-teacher's kissing lessons were all hers.

"I hardly be any sort o' mentor," Rory laughed. He knew he wasn't in any position to teach anyone better social skills. "Best you can hope fae, lad, is tha' I teach you not t' make an arse o' yourself."

Smiling a bit as she noted that Rory actually seemed to like Lauss, Lee's face dropped for a moment. "Eh? There's other things I need to worry about?" She'd completely misunderstood the meaning behind Ellandra's words and looked over at her worriedly.
Lauss looked back to Rhian, smiling cheerfully. "Rhi helps with my emotions. See?" He pointed to his smile. "I'm happy. And I can see that Rhi is not. I'm making progress." He was still joyful, even if he'd acknowledged Rhian's emotions. It seemed that when he was sad, Rhian was sad, and he didn't want to make it worse. "Mister Rory can help me say things in a way that won't make people sad, right?" Honestly, he could use help from the both of them.

Ellandra bit her lip, then smiled at Lee. "All I meant, Lee, is things moving too quickly, that's all. Nothing to worry about." Lee as so like her at times, it was almost eerie. Sometimes it made her wonder if she and the teen weren't related some way, back somewhere in their respective family trees.
Rhian pouted at Lauss saying she was sad, then couldn't help it any longer - she giggled. "Lauss-teacher, we need more kissing practiiiice!" He was just so - so silly, so . . .. . Lauss!

Zia got up and headed out the door. "I'm gonna go see Granda." It wasn't sure it wanted to stick around to watch Rhian and Lauss do more kissing. All of that made it miss Crux and now it just wanted to go for a walk.
Rory just blushed a little at Rhian's statement, looking at Lee. "Are they always like this?"

Blinking back at the woman, Lee tilted her head, a slightly confused look on her face. "A-alright..." They were taking things too fast? Well, perhaps Lee did have a tendency to rush things... Blushing a bit, she nodded to Ellandra, showing that she understood and would try to take everything slow. Turning back to Rory, a bit startled to hear him speak to her again, the girl's eyes fell onto the essentics, an unamused expression on her face. "Always." Those two were so shameless...
Smiling to Rhian, Lauss nodded, silently agreeing that kissing practice would be good. "You should start, though. I still have to perfect my lean-in."

Ellandra said nothing more, but she smiled at Lee and rested her hand on her belly. If that perhaps was a statement in and of itself, only Ellandra would ever know.
Rhian giggled and nodded. "Okay, Lauss-teacher! Like this!" she chirped, then kissed him in an excellent imitation of Faolan's kisses that once induced Ellandra into fainting, long before Rhian ever came.

Faolan sighed and leaned over to Rhian. "Eh, girl. Might want t' tone th' affection down when we got company, aye. You're makin' Rory feel a little uncomfortable."
"It's, um, nae, it's alright. I donnae mind it really," Rory replied, though he was blushing a little.

Looking away, a very worried expression on her face, Lee had taken the hint. She'd try her best to take things slow...
Enjoying the kiss, possibly a bit too much, Lauss was eventually forced to pull back so he could breathe. He had a slightly dazed look on his face, and a goofy grin to match. "R-Rhi is an expert kisser. She should teach a class on the subject..."
Lee sighed with embarrassment, looking away and shaking her head. Her dislike for Rhian was growing again, mostly because Lee was sure she'd never have the confidence to kiss Rory like that in front of others. Looking at Lauss' face, the girl changed her mind; sure she'd never be able to kiss Rory like that, period.
