Christine walked through the forest, her long black cape dragging on the forest ground. Her hood over her eyes so no one would reconize the Queen of Basil. Her bright orange hair fell out of the hood slightly, being an odd color agenst the black. She wore a white dress that barely touched the ground, and it had blue mixed into it.
She looked around and her eyes glowed a bright red, she was hunting. She saw many deer pass by but she wouldn't stoop to her children's ways. A poor young woman passed by her and Christine's fangs enlongated. She smiled at the girl and attacked.
A few minutes later Christine lifted her head, her hood fallen away from her head and the cape open, it just resting on her shoulders. Blood was dripping from her chin and her eyes were now just glowing dimly. She stood up and walked over to a fallen tree, sitting down on it.

with out a word Ash moved from the shadows, kneeling over the body and moveing his hand in a circle over it. the dead were the simplest to transmute.. in a matter of moments he had another hell hound where the womans body had been. standing strait he retured to Christine's side, the hound sitting quietly at his feet. the Queen did not clean rubish, it was his place to keep her happy.

"Thank you Ash." Christine leaned agenst a tree that was behind the fallen one that she was sitting on. "You really have been a loyal servent to me, when my general dies, you shall take his place and be more important then just my gaurd."

" it is my place to protect you, my lady. i will do as you wish." he said simply, lifting a hand over the hell hound. a green blaze slid over his hand, makeing it appear as a claw as a small rope trailed to the beast below. the moment it connected to the hound the beast fell still, bowing smoothly to the Queen before fadeing into the shadow. his hounds were in total only five.. unless ordered to make more, he only replaced fallen ones. studying the blood on her chin he offered her his hand to help her up, his tone curt and respectful. " you have a wish to seek more prey, My lady..? that weak creature could not have filled you."

She took his hand and stood up. "We are in the forest Ash, no need for you to be polite here." She took off her cape and folded it, placing it over her arms. "Yes, I would like to hunt some more, that human wasn't nearly enuff."

amusement crept into his eyes as he pulled her a little closer, tilting his head to the side in offering. " then mabye something a little stronger, Christine..?" he had fed deeply, certainly enough to share with her. unlike most vampires he fed from his own kind as well as humans, the blood stronger and lasting longer.

"Thank you Ash." She leaned into him, biting into his neck. A few minutes later she pulled her head away, looking up at him. "I like the taste of your blood Ash, what do you feed on?"

" Any unaware creature i stumble upon." it was the truth, where most creatures had a code.. no wolves or no vampires, all were prey to him. half closeing his eyes he rubbed his cheek against hers.

Christine nipped at Ash's jaw line teasingly, whatching his neck heal from her power. "I like you Ash, you are different from all the other guards, that is why I made you my guard."

" because i can better protect you." he stated simply, though the wicked glint in his eyes belied his words. smoothing her hair back he smiled, something he found he could only do near her. " .. and because i have the wish to to protect you."

She smiled and rested her head on his chest, closing her eyes. "I will never regret choosing you to protect me." She shook her head and laughed softly. "So many rules, broken every time we are alone together."

the corner of his mouth turned up in a bemused grin, his arms slideing around her as he mused. " nor will i.. i regret nothing, Christine. not killing the kings for you, and certanly not staying in the shadows to keep you safe." a thick amusement entered his voice as he rested his chin on her head. " besides.. rules were ment to be broken, luv. no one would dare challenge you even if they knew." because he would kill them, easily and without pause.

She smiled and wrapped her arms loosely around his waist. "As long as I still live, no one can take the thrown, and you will always be by my side." She moved away from him a little, grabbed his face gently and pulled him down into a hard and deep kiss.

with a growl he kissed her back, his usualy passive nature long sense gone. Ash wouldnt argue with her words, he knew well enough that if it came down to it.. anyone after her would have to go through him, and every creature he could control.

Christine broke the kiss off and smiled. "Do you love me? I want an honest answer." Her eyes for the first time were soft, understanding.
