Stephanie breathed slowly, calming herself down.
Ever since she had gotten pregnant she hypervenalated easily. When it came to Hayley, anything bad could happen. And she would do anything for that kid.
Anything.
So, to say the least, she was a little touchy when it came to her. "Okay, okay." She said softly.
"I'm good," Stephanie didn't get embaressed easily. But in this case, her cheeks blushed a heavy pink. She shook her head at herself. She knew that James was right.
Nothing bad was going to happen to Hayley. She was going to be fine. And maybe, it was good for Steph to have lost her phone for a day or two. Probably safer that way for her sake.
The point of them going here was to relax, and if she had her phone she'd be calling her parents constantly to check up on Hayley.
"I'm sorry," She apologized quickly as she pulled herself back in his arms.
After a second or two of looking at James she sighed softly and let her bangs fall in front of her face.
"This fancy smancy place has like, resteraunts in it right?" She smiled, pecking his lips before turning.
"Why don't you decide where we're going to eat while I shower, okay?"

Oh God, wine was in front of her. Things were going to be a lot more sensual. To think, this could be like that one scene out of the notebook, cause she was wearing a dress to. But would landon push her up against the wall, we will see...
She smiled and blushed a little bit, it was always flattering hearing him saying he thinks about her. But sometimes she feels that there is another girl on his mind also. Not that she would bring it up, that was the last thing she wanted. She took a decent size drink from the wine, for her first go around that is. Yea, that bottle wasn't going to make it till morning.
"Is it really that good?" Kaitlyn asked, leaning over and kissing his lips, tasting what was left, the flavor, and it was good, even though she didn't even eat it. She pulled back and quickly turned her attention back to her own food, taking a few bites of the closet things to her on the plate. Pausing to only finish her glass of wine on her second drink. Oh yea, that his the stuff. She wasn't an alcoholic or anything, but enjoyed herself from time to time. Maybe she should be more serious... Would he like that? She always thinks of him.
A few more bites later, and she slowly rose her legs, and rested her foot on the inside of his thigh, actually. It was going to get sensual, of course. She took another bite of her meal, slowly, enjoying it, for his sake. And hers, it was good, but still, it was fun. Her foot pressed slightly against his leg, of course it was a little high on his thigh, but she had long legs, and they weren't all that far apart. Running her tongue against her lips, she smirked at him. How long can he last? Lets play that game.

Kaitlyn blushed. It was so cute when she did, really. It made him smile all the more. Then he felt like telling her.
"Do you realize how adorable you are when you blush?" he asked with a teasing smirk.
She kissed him though, and could probably taste what lingered of the food. Which by the way, was very fine. The cooks here must be well trained professionals, and experienced ones at that.
She started eating her own food then, as well as finishing off her wine quickly. Landon did too then, finishing it off before pouring them both some more and going back to eating.
Except, he almost choked when her bare foot rested on his chair, pressing against the inside of his thigh- which was really easy to do with the way he was sitting.
He swallowed like a lump of whatever was left in his mouth just in time, before she pressed her foot against his legs more.
Well, he hadn't been expecting it!
He didn't do anything yet though, just raised his eyebrow at her with mock suspicion. Well duh. He liked it.
Still... it made him wonder just what she was up to, especially when they were eating dinner and not back in the room...
Hm... well, he would probably soon find out.
Meanwhile, he took another long sip of wine.

His expression, priceless. That should be on that master card commercial. Ah, she would watch it over and over. She took a sip of her wine, raising her other leg, crossing it over the first, and more or less using Landon as a foot rest. This time her other foot rested more on his leg then her first one.
Bite after bite, she continued to eat, and drink her wine, which was really good. This place was like, amazing. She couldn't wait to get to the pool, they could have a lot of fun in there. Of course, she had to remember her first time going on like a swimming date, it was with James. Her first time in a two piece swimming suit also, she was so nervous. Kaitlyn bit her tongue, and quickly came back to the present. She didn't need to think about stuff like that. Maybe she thought of it, cause it was funny to see her then and now. Yeah, let's go with that.
She gently placed down her knife and fork, leaning back in her chair a little bit while she drank some more wine. "This place is amazing..." Another sip of the wine. She pressed her foot against his thigh once more before dropping both of her feet, sitting up straight. "Would you honor me with a dance, handsome?" She asked, with a smile smile on her face, and a slight blush.

She said she was good and blushed, but didn't mention anything about going back to the car and leaving or anything. So it was fine.
She apologized and James just shook his head, "It's alright babe."

"Of course, it was in the booklet thingy they sent us, more then one too."
James was smiling again, lovely idea!

Oh jeez, really? She put her other foot up too, this one also pressing against his leg, right in at the thigh.
And he was supposed to eat like this?
She looked all comfortable though. Of course.
He did start eating again after a moment though, because well, it was really good... and he was hungry... And that was really distracting.
But still, he ate his food, more slowly then she did though, sipping wine throughout it, and even poured a third glass he drained, but it meant he filled up on less food that way, so he was good by the time she spoke again.
"I concur" he said with a grin, looking up from his plate, oh but then there it was again, more pressure on his thigh. But then she dropped both of her feet and stood up, going already?
Apparently not.
He stood up then too, but looked down a little, "You know I don't dance much..." but he didn't protest. He wasn't even a bad dancer, but it always made him nervous for some reason.
Except when he danced with...
Cough. Shut up thoughts! Bad!
"Alright, if you insist" she hadn't yet, but whatever, he'd dance! Just for her!

Kaitlyn rolled her eyes, smiling at him. She placed her hand on his shoulder, and the other in this left hand, proper, not bear hugging. They would do that in a second. "Oh be quiet. Just cause you don't dance much, doesn't mean you don't sweep me off my feet." He was an amazing dancer, and somehow every time she danced with him she felt like a princess.
She felt his hand on her back, and they started to twirl slowly. She smiled, looking up at him, before going out for a spin, then coming back. The song that they were dancing to switched to something even slowly, this is where she got really close to him. Both arms wrapped around his shoulders, and she rested her head on his shoulder. "You know.... I really love you..."
Kaitlyn said that as if it just occurred to her, even though she knew it all the long. But she really did, with all his heart. Nothing was holding her back with him. She still couldn't believe that he came into her life, right when she was about to give up hope. It almost made her cry most days, on freaking perfect he was, and she stands in front of the mirror, finding so many things she doesn't like about herself. She really needs him in her life, and doesn't ever want to let him go.

"Awesome. You know what I like. So wherever is perfect." Stephanie pecked him on the cheek before turning and smiling.
Bipolar?
No, she was just really good at pretending her insides weren't exploding.
"I know babe. I know." She repeated before ducking into the bathroom.
Not bothering to shut the door she jumped into the jet tub and laid back. A few minutes of relaxing then she'd actually shower.
After she shaved her legs and laid back in the bubbling water for about fifteen minutes she washed her body and even managed to wash her hair too.
How, don't ask. But she did.
And once she was finished she wrapped a large, fluffy, white towel around her body and walked over to the mirror and sink. They had a complimentary blowdryer.
Awesome.
Steph walked out into the room, and almost made it safely too. But right before she hit carpet she slid and flopped down flat on her a** on the cold tiled floor.
"Ow.." She groaned.

Move along, move along like I know you do.. James perked up a bit, because he hadn't been sure if she was just forcing that out before, but she still seemed fine. Good good. Because there was no way this trip was going to be ruined, especially about nothing.
Maybe he seemed a bit selfish, but it just seemed a bit over the top to him. Not her fault of course, she was like a mother, they overreacted.
But what James had the slightest bit coping with sometimes was that he liked more in a relationship to be about him- and he could give it back, to be about her- but when there was another factor taking up so much time... But he tried to not let it bother him- and hey, she was a sweet kid...
Well, maybe if it was his kid it would be different, but well, she wasn't.
Anyway though, it was fine. And they were fine, and this night, and tomorrow, was gonna be great.
"K babe, just go clean yourself up and I'll take care of it" he said, turning away only after she had. Then he sorta started getting dressed, but he only had underwear and pants on when he sat down on the bed and picked up the phone to dial and find out about restaurants and reservations and all that.
He'd been finished on the phone for awhile, and had started going through his things for a shirt when Stephanie came out in a fluffy white towel.
Yep, and then he looked just in time to see her fall- making him shoot up instantly and go over to her, crouching down by her side.
"Steph? You alright?" he asked with a creased brow. ..And even when your hope is gone

Stephanie nearly smacked her head. But instead, she just mostly dropped her towel.
She groaned and looked up at James as he rushed to her side.
She looked him over and just started cracking up.
"Oh god," She clutched her sides, falling back on her back. She was laughing so hard.
And really, she needed this. Sometimes you just really needed a good, hard laugh.
And right now, was definatly one of those times.
Stephanie tried to catch her breath. "James, ahhaha.." Fail.

Landon sighed, "Well, I dunno, it's just not my thing" sorta. He stuck his tongue out at her though as she situated them right, but ended up smiling himself anyway. Dancing in general really wasn't so bad, and it was fun even with... with Kaitlyn.
His movements at first were a bit stunted before he got into it, kind of stiff, despite the movements being in time and all that. After a few moments though, he started to relax, which is when it became easier for him. It just sucked that he couldn't immediately just do it and enjoy himself right away.
But whatever, no sulking! He did enjoy it too, and his eyes became transfixed on Katy, the way her hair flashed when she twirled, and the way her dress rippled about her, how the light caught on her skin. She was so beautiful, almost too perfect.
He blinked when the music had changed, slower all of a sudden, and she was pressing closer to him. His arms came up around her more, as they swayed to the music still, with her head resting on his shoulder.
Landon closed his eyes, picturing what he had just seen, too perfect it was, really.
Then she spoke.
It took him a second to process the words, then a soft smile turned his lips, which he then turned down to kiss the top of her head.
"Love you to Katy, a lot" he kissed her head again and squeezed her in his arms, spinning them around a little as they danced.
This night even, seemed so perfect, he could hardly imagine how tomorrow great tomorrow would be.

Kaitlyn giggled into his neck a little bit as they twirled again. She always felt like a little girl around him, never his equal, but his partner. If that made any sense.
"Hmmm, how much is a lot Kai? It could be, from us to our room. That's a lot of space. Or the earth to the moon, that's a lot." She really didn't even want to hear the answer, just be silly and say stupid stuff, that wasn't the wine either.
She was content in his arms, and wanted to continue standing there, but she heard something coming in. Huh. She opened her eyes to see the waiters bring out some dessert, except they only brought out one banana split. Oh that's fun, they were going to share it. But by the looks of that split, it looked like it was made of money, how fancy it was. "Ooo, look at that. Doesn't it look yummy." Leaning her head back, she stole a kiss on his cheek before looking at him. "I was right, it was yummy" She smiled and laughed at herself.

And her towel had fallen mostly off, revealing at least her top half.
Aaaand she was laughing...? James ended up laughing too, just because, plus, it just seemed like things had been too tense since the phone thing, and this was a good release in general.
She seemed to be enjoying it anyway.
"Haha, you ok?" he asked now, but meant it in a different way then before.
James placed his hand on her shoulder and squeezed gently, grinning as his laughter died down, but was still echoed by hers as she tried to catch her breath. Aaah, but it didn't seem to be working.
"Maybe you needed to fall" he said, sticking his tongue out at her, then he stood up, putting his hands out for her to grab, so he could pull her up too. ..And even when your hope is gone

Stephanie was calming down. "No," She answered him. Her sides literally hurt.
You know the saying, 'my sides are splitting', or whatever? It really did feel like that!
James was squeezing her shoulder as she calmed down.
Stephanie didn't care that her torso was hanging out all over the place. It wasn't as if James hadn't seen her before anyway. She nodded at his next comment.
He didn't know how right he was. She needed to fall, just to hit the hard floor, to be reminded that sometimes you just have to laugh at yourself. And move on.
Somewhere along the way, through the passed year or so, she had forgotten that.
Or maybe she had forgotten long before that.
Like when she found out she was pregnant six years ago, and dumped her boyfriend.
"Ah yeah." She shook her head from any thoughts of Landon as she took James's hand and pulled herself to her feet.
She pecked his lips quickly before shaking her free hand through her wet blonde locks.
"Did ya find a place for dinner?"

Landon smiled as she asked, but then he sorta spaced out. It was a good thing she couldn't see his face, or she would probably ask what was on his mind.
Without really being able to help himself, he had remembered something he had told Stephanie in a similar situation.
"You kidding me Steph? How much? That's like asking me to count all of the stars in the sky."
But then he shook himself out of it, blinking rapidly, but he suddenly wasn't feeling quite in the mood he was only seconds before.
Damn, why did he always think about her so damn much now that she had come back into the picture- even if she was just a side factor now.
Not that he had ever stopped, but...
He was saved from answering when she didn't prod further and their dancing just continued like it had before, he didn't skip a beat.
And then oh look! Dessert was brought out and it looked absolutely delicious.
"Ooo that does!" he agreed. Well, Landon was a sweet guy, and he loved sweets. Even had a bag of candy packed with him... you know, it wasn't like he knew if they would have any candy here or anything.
Ice cream however, was the best!
Especially since he couldn't really pack chocolate without it melting, so he didn't have any of that with him, and he loved chocolate like a pregnant chick.
Katy stole a kiss, saying that was yummy now and he smirked, "Good thing there's plenty more where that came from" he said, kissing her right back, ah, but then, to the chocolate fudge covered banana split!
He even lead her over himself.
Yeah, he was feeling a bit better after that brief lapse.
