Nienna's eyes narrowed and her nostrils flared, "Oh? That's all you can come up with is Oh? Is the goddess not pretty enough for you?" She turned away from him, undecided in what to do next. Stalking off sounded promising...but what if he didn't come after her? Staying it was then, at least until she knew for sure.

Glitch was confused. "No, you're very pretty!" Glitch had the feeling he would sound like an idiot no matter what he said or did at this point. "You're the prettiest girl I've ever met. I mean, not that I've met many girls . . . "

"Because I'm an idiot!" Glitch yelled without thinking. He took a breath. "I do like you," he said softly. "I just, I don't. Um." Glitch couldn't think of the right words. Which meant he'd have to read the dictionary again.

Glitch was flabbergasted. He'd never quite gotten the meaning of that word until now. What would Murtaugh do? Probably quote poetry, because he was smart like that. Well, Glitch didn't know any poetry. What would Azkadellia do? Look down and say nothing shyly. Glitch didn't think that would particularly work in this instance. What would Riggs do?
"This isn't rejection," Glitch said, as confidently as he could manage. Then he reached over and kissed her.
