Blade swooped in and snatched the vial from Zane's hands before he got the chance to hand it to Joey. He slid through the sand before turning to Joey. "What exactly do you think you're doing?" Blade exclaimed as he stood on guard, his left hand hanging on the top of his blade getting into a guarding stance. "It's a good thing I've bugged you Mizukage, or else...now I won't repeat myself, what are you doing here!?" Something was fishy about this whole thing. He watched Zarud drink the antidote, Zane's medical skills are second to none, there's no way he would have messed up on the serum, and why would Joey want his hands on that 4th vial and ask the Mizukage to forget about it...unless they were trying to protect their secret...a bug crawled at Blade's shoulder.

"Blade, what's wrong with you? That vial is dangerous, be careful with it," Zane warned Blade then looking back at Joey. "Sorry about this, he can be a bit brash. Don't worry I'll destroy the serum myself so there's no need for you to get involved," Zane explained to Joey.

A red glow faded into his eyes as he saw the same man from before return. This was mainly in defense so he could keep an eye on the bugs as he spoke, "I am in no way trying to cause any harm, merely alerting your Kage. In no doubt are his medical skills at any fault, but it was a reaction that will naturally occur when exposed to air for a specific period of time. Nobody could have foreseen it." While he spoke, he didn't bother attempting the jutsu on Blade since his prime target was the Kage and it demanded practically all of his focus, so he was simply relying on his natural ability to convince others. Also, the more he tried to include under his jutsu would only raise further suspicion as he turned back to the Kage, the jutsu being reinforced, "Please inform him since I believe your words are more effective than mine. Also, my Kage has expressed his greatest concern in that I take the vial myself, so as not to insult you."

"Blade, give me the vial," Zane stated coldly as he held his hand out to him. He believed what Joey was saying and would tolerate insolence from his shinobis in front of others, it would only make him appear weak. "Now," Zane stated sternly.

Blade hessitated for a second. Maybe Joey was right...maybe there was a reaction, he knew nothing about medicine so he didn't know, but then again, if there really was an unforseen reaction...wouldn't the kage have known. Wouldn't he have tried it himself before giving it to another village? Blade looked at the kage, his demeanor was back to his battiling mode. "No...I will not! If there's something wrong with this vial then it's your job to figure out what's wrong with it, what was it that you did wrong...because I don't think you did anything wrong...sir," Blade shouted back at the Kage defiantly.

"Interesting, most people in my village would jump off a cliff at the mere whim of a superior, even myself." Joey added the comment to Zane, only encouraging him to take action against his subordinate.

"BLADE!" Zane spat as he removed Aisukami from its sheath and held it up into the sky. Through its power, the temperature of the beach started to change drastically as the wind blew fiercely and the waves crashed harder against the sand. Snow started to fall in the field as he pointed the blade at Blade. "As leader I command you to give me that vial now!" Zane stated, his eyes turning as white as snow as he activated his kekkei genkai. He was not going to repeat himself.

"And as your friend I refuse!" Blade stated as he unsheathed Konchuu-ken. Suddenly, through the power of his blade a massive cloud of bugs gathered at the tip of his sword forming a perfect sphere. Then the remaining bugs crawled from out of his skin and into the sky hovering over the field, darkening the sky above. "Listen to reason!" Blade pleaded with him.

Joey now took a rather ominous position from behind Zane as he continued to speak, "He is being rather hardheaded, even for a friend, there is supposed to be room for trust."

"Fine...if that's the way you want it, I'm going to have to cut you until you get through that hard head of yours!" exclaimed Zane using Joey's words as he suddenly dissapeared from sight. Using the Mist swordstyle he moved at incredible speed through the sand, causing explosions of sand with every step until he suddenly materiliazed at Blade's back. Zane slams his sword downward, aiming at Blade's back, then he would dissapear again and aim a thrust at his chest from in front of Blade.

Blade's bugs spotted Zane materializing from behind and warned Blade as he lifted his blade up above him sideways and blocked Zane's first strike as the bugs being contained by the sphere dispersed around them. Then, as Zane went in for the thrust, Blade dodged to the right as the bugs came crashing down upon Zane.

"You could spare your life if you simply hand him the vial!" Joey threw in his own advice at Blade, still not chancing the jutsu on him for risk of allowing Zane to fall through.

Zane fickers away just before the bugs could hit him, and appeared a couple of yards away from Blade. Suddenly, using his other hand Zane forms a single seal and then holds his hand out. "Mizu...no...Yaiba...." Zane mutters as the water from the beach begins to fly towards his hand, first forming a sphere, then elongating, forming into another katana. Zane stood there, now holding two swords looking straight at Blade. "Now...you die..." Zane stated coldly as he charges at Blade with unimaginable speeds, the thing about the Mist swordstyle is that its lethality increases dramatically when using the double blade attack. Zane moved in a zig zag pattern, in order to confuse Blade. Left...right...left...right...left....LEFT! Zane thought as he slashed him with his katana from the left side, the figure would dissapear quickly through Blade though, because it was merely an after image. Zane was in reality attacking his right as he slashed downwards on Blade with both swords.

As the afterimage goes through him, Blade was dumbfounded by the kage's speed. Suddenly he looked to his right just in time to see Zane's attacked...but by then it was too late, he was just too fast. Blade managed to step to the left just enough for the attack to cause a slight gash across his right arm. Blade jumped back clasping his arm as blood poured down it and tainted the white sands. Without even looking back at Joey, he spat at him, "You're controling him aren't you!? Because he would never fight me like this! Now I command you to stop it!" Blade said sternly as he watched the Mizukage's next move.

"I would like the vial please." Joey spoke towards Blade, not offering an answer to his question but simply holding out a hand from afar.
