A lone soldier, or his whole team?
PostPosted: Thu Jul 16, 2009 11:54 pm

I hadn't thought that far into it. A single RC, but initially, at least, I would have to be with my team. Whether I would lose them, or be seperated, or something of the sort or perhaps nothing like that at all. I've heard instances of RCs being deployed on their own on rare occasions. They functioned better in their 4 man cells, but they were still accomplished elite soldiers in their own rite.

Perhaps an RC who had already deserted the Republic. I don't know, it would all depend on what we need in the RP, and what would be allowed/wanted.

I would never want to play the entire team.

Doing whole teams is annoying, I've tried. But if you can pull it off, its worth it I guess, but you lose touch of your personal character.

Hmmm..... I don't want to ask this question because I haven't decided on a character concept yet.

But what would you think of working alongside a Republic Knight?

I have read much of the Republic Commando books, and what you're saying is true. possibly you could do a Commando, but he would normally be with brothers, and not by himself, unless they were dead. But I'm not trying to hold you back, go for it! I love clones!!!

There were commandos who worked independently, namely the Nulls, but this is over 10 years later, and most who didn't have access to Kal's gene would be either retired(unlikely) or in high-ranking positions. Even one who got ahold of it would still be in their 30s. But that only makes them more deadly, especially if they are still on active duty.

But it was not unheard of for them to work alone, especially the best of them. But the reason commandos usually work in teams is...well, its a long list.

Namely, its more efficient to have four or six super soldiers than just one.

Nulls were ARCs. Not Republic Commandos.

And what does ARC stand for.... rolleyes

Actually, because this is Fanon, Jaden could play a Null if he wanted to, instead of 6 that were terminated, there were 5, he was the 7th Null, and perhaps kept in specific secret.

Maybe the Kaminos attempted a later project to prefect the Nulls, and he was the success.

The perfect Clone Trooper, a better Jango.

Hey guys, do you think that I could make character sheets for you guys to fill out, like Jedi or etc. Just specify what you need and I'll do my best. Also ARC Stands for (I'm pretty sure):

Advanced
Reconicance
Commando

But don't kill me if I'm wrong.

No, I would never try to play a Null. Nulls are too individual, to chaotic and blindly obedient to Skirtata. If it worked out that I couldn't play an RC, then perhaps maybe an Alpha ARC.

But I'm gonna start banging out how to get this RC character going.
PostPosted: Fri Jul 17, 2009 8:52 am

Yeah, that is true. I've read all the RC books, and I have come to the conclusion that Republic Commandos are more independant and open-minded. Not to put Nulls down.

RC-1398 "Teroch" Theta squad Sergeant and trained combat medic.

Does that hit any bells with anyone before I continue?

Gender: Male

Homeworld: Kamino
Main weapon: DC-17s Interchangeable Weapons System
Side weapon: DC-15s, Knuckle-plate vibroblades, (wookiee assault bowcaster when available)
Affiliation: Remnant
Occupation: Republic Commando
Rank: Sergeant
Specialty: C.Q.B. / Field Medic

Personal Ship: Cygnus Spaceworks Nu-class Attack Shuttle Rrakktorr

User Image

Appearance: A clone of Jango Fett. Dark-skinned human male standing 1.83 meters tall. Black hair and brown eyes, with strong rigid facial features.
Teroch wears Mark III Katarn-class Commando Armor decorated with Gold paint in various designs on the body and a blast-protective kama.

User Image

Short History: Teroch was raised with his original squad, Omicron Squad, from birth. He was trained by Kal Skirata, a kind but firm man who taught them to always rely on their squadmates.
Omicron squad first saw combat at the Battle of Geonosis, where it incurred 50% casualties. Teroch was then reassigned with his slicer, Tal, to a mongrel squad, Theta squad.
Theta squad's first combat was at the Battle of Muunilinst. From there, they saw much action including the Battle of Kashyyyk and various battles in the Outer Rim Sieges including the Battle of Boz Pity.
Theta squad encountered Kal Skirata and his Null 'boys' throughout the war. Taking quite a liking to the Nulls and apparently vise-versa, Theta formed a relationship with Jaing, Mereel, and Ordo, as well as Kal Skirata.
In the later years of the war, Theta squad was approached by Kal Skirata with a chance at a normal life span. Holding no great love his the Republic after all they had seen in the war, Theta squad accepted Kal's offer.
Now, with a normal life span, Teroch and Theta squad are continuing to serve the Republic. That is, until they find their opportune moment to desert to Mandalore, where they can start a new life with their brothers.

Personal quote: "Slot 'em boys."

Now who would I send this to? You, Rodyn?
