"I'm going to get fat here," Lorey said, laughing at the very idea of her weighing more than she did.
"But nothing too large. I'm actually a little afraid of dogs..." She'd only been exposed to guard dogs and vicious things, or the sickly kind who begged for food until they grew angry and dangerous. Lorey would be alright if Richard was there to make sure noting ate her.

Richard cocked an eyebrow, never knowing this about her. "Really? Well...how about before I get anything, you come with me to seei f it's too scary ok?" He offered, knowing if he showed her a sweet loving dog, she'd be all about it.

She nodded, knowing she already said they could get dogs. Of course she'd be in on getting which one. Or two, since Richard had said he wanted a few of them.
They'd have to get a lot done before they got a dog, though.
"Alright... It's just that I've never had good experiences with them and was too scared to go up to a nice one, I guess." She shrugged, embarrassed about this new development. "I'm always afraid they won't like me. I tried having a kitten once, but... I think I told you about that."
The kitten was killed by heartless teenage boys, and Lorey never tried to have a pet again.

Richard furrowed his brow, reaching up to touch her face gently. "Well...we'll have whatever you want, and if you don't want the dog, we wont get one ok?" He promised, leaning up to kiss her forehead sweetly. "We can have...bunnies! or- ...or cats, even though I'm not terribly too fond of them...their cute sometimes..." He scrunched up his nose thinking about trinity and how she somewhat disliked him. The feeling was mutual.

"You can't cuddle with a bunny!" Lorey said, giggling at the idea. "No, we'll see what dogs they have and get one... but if they smell too much, we can't keep them in the house. Alright? We can build them something outside, a shelter."
Lorey wouldn't have company coming over to a smelly house filled with dog hair. It would be too much work to keep clean, and after a life of doing that, she'd had it.

"Ph of course!" Richard nodded. "I dont want to deal with that either." He shook his head and laughed a little. "Who knows... we'll just have to see where we are after we're married and settles in alright?" He smiled, wanting to huig her but didn't know if she'd want his gross self right now.

Lorey caught the little motion to hug her and how he stopped, so she kissed him instead.
"I'd make you go take a shower, but you have more work, don't you? Have you eaten enough? And make sure you drink plenty of water so you don't dehydrate and pass out up there. That happened to me once, and it was terrible..."
She caught herself rambling on, and stopped, smiling at how already she felt like a married woman fussing over a husband who didn't listen anyhow.

Richard laughed and kissed her back. "When I'm this hot and tired, I don't get very hungry..though water is a good idea. I'll be careful. He grabbed a bottle of water from the fridge from when he had stopped and bought food the previous night. "It shouldn't be too much longer... We're almost finished." He promised with a smile, grabbing an apple for Enty before heading back to work.

Lorey took a few toffee and salt water taffy candies with her as she continued doing her laundry. The sheets were almost done, but next would come a bit of tough love for the carpets. That would come the next day, though. They did have a week for all this after all.

The time seemed to fly by for the couple. They had put their heart and soul into the house, trying to make it shine good as new. By the time their stay had come to an end, it looked a million times better than it did, though still had some work to be done.
Richard was jut loading Lorey's things into the speeder, leaving his own things behind since he was coming back after dropping off Lorey on Veratia and getting his next assignment. He kept finding himself looking back at the old place, smiling and shaking his head, knowing it was theirs and was waiting for them to just move it.
"Lorey dear, are you ready?" He called, shutting the trunk of the craft as Enty crawled into the back seat. "We have to get back soon so you don't miss work remember?" He sighed, hating the idea of Lorey being all alone on Veratia. Of course there were Damian and Raquel, but they had their own little world to get caught up in, not usually stepping out for too long a time.

"Coming!" Lorey dashed out of the house and down the steps to the waiting speeder. She'd gotten a little sunburn herself during their stay, giving her cheeks and nose a dash of red. In her sun dress, Lorey looked like she truly belonged in Druis, and not in the city of Veratia.
Once in the seat of the speeder, Lorey felt so homesick, even though they hadn't even left.
"Richard, I honestly can't wait until we come back... This was such a beautiful week."

"Yea...it has///" He sighed, though was looking at Lorey. "But You'll be back soon enough, and I promise you it'll be even more beautiful. I'll make sure of that." He nodded, suddenly realizing jstu how lonely it'd be all by himself again. But he didn't share these feelings, simply starting up the speeder.
"Then the next time you get to see it, hopefully we'll be ready for our wedding and begin setting it up...or something." He shrugged pulling out onto the dirt road, glancing in the mirrors as their home got smaller and smaller as they headed back towards Richard's ship.

The two men finally made it back to the villa around noon time. "The name's Richard by the way..." He smiled over his shoulder, opening the front gate.
"Nathan. But call me Nat..." Nat smiled with a nod, admiring the place.
"Well, Nat, there's a Bedroom upstairs to the left that hasn't been touched in a long time...feel free to drop your stuff off there ok?" Richard offered, dropping his own bag into the corner. "You can freshen up and rest, or whatever..." He smiled, looking over to the window with a frown. A large crack was running down the middle of the window over the sink. "Hm...I have some small but important projects to work on... If you want to help after you've rested-"
"Way ahead of you laddy. How thankful could I really be if I didn't at least help a little. I think its sweet you're fixing the place up for your sweetheart. I'd love to help." he smiled. "But I would like to at least drop off my stuff. I'll be down in just a bit." He added before heading up the stairs as Richard nodded as well, heading out side to start his work.

At the very end of the driveway was Teagan once more, with a basket in hand and a song playing on her lips. She was very chipper that day, and wanted to spread the cheer to the house that was so graciously being fixed up. Teagan had no idea if Lorey was there to discuss wedding flowers or not, but with her basket of baked breads, Teagan was sure to make her help felt regardless.
Once at the front door, she knocked a few times before announcing, "Any lovebirds at home in their nest?"

Richard was out back, looking for extra tools, and even a pane of glass to replace the cracked one up front. But Nat heard her knock, heading own the stairs, looking for Richard. Not seeing him anywhere, he decided to answer the door himself. "Not unless Richard is cheating on his love with me..." He joked, opening the door but stopping slightly. He didn't expect to see such a lovely young lady on the other side. "Hi there..." He smiled, slightly shyly with a nod.
"Hey, who's at the door- Teagan!" Richard came in through the back door, leaning over as he set the tools down to see that Teagan had stopped by. "You've graced us with your presence! And wielding goodies I see! I'm sorry but Lorey's not here, she's back 'home', working her job." He sighed, coming in to say hello. "I see you've met my very temporary hired hand here..." He laughed with a shrug.
"Nathan. Nice to meet you." He smiled, flipping his brown hair back out of his eyes, flashing her a charming smile and extending a hand to shake.
