The man i was attempting to attack quickly hit me square in the jaw. I stumbled backwards and landed on my a**. At that moment my employer started screaming something. I was momentarily distracted long enough for him to hit me a few more times. I started getting pissed off. And whats more when i'm pissed my drunkenness tends to ware off. I leaned back quickly and kicked him with both feet right in the stomach. I pulled my sword up off of the ground and took a quick swing at him. I made a very small cut across his chest. I scowled at him and then spoke " You just pissed off the wrong man"

I hit him again and again. Him holding off somehow. "I will have my identity back!" I grab him and knee him in the stomach, and quickly throw him onto the ground. He retaliates with a kick of his own. i stumble, but otherwise counter with a back flip kick combo. He grabs his word, but I kick it from his hand. "I will get my image back you a*****e!" I jump out of the way of a blast of magic, and come up on the side. He jumps up, and then comes down on me with a punch. I fall to the ground, but push myself up and roll from a sword slash. He yells at me, and then tries a vertical slash. I jump away again, and then attack ferociously, not even missing a step or punch, he stumbles back. I feel a pain as he hits my leg with that damn sword of his. I limp away to regroup. "You son of a b*****d!' He smiles, and jumps towards me, but I jump away again, this time landing a jujitsu kick to his ribs. He stumbles back, and I finish the combo off with a punch to his nose. I was faring well in this fight it seemed.

After landing a few blows on the man with my sword he answers me. "shur'ran" he said. Almost instantly after that he turned into a fox. From a combination of my shock and his speed he managed to knock me down and pin me down. He started biting and clawing. I was barely able to keep him from ripping my throat out. He just got his teeth around my throat and was about t kill me when i managed to get one arm free and pull out one of my twin daggers. I quickly lunged the dagger through the bottom of his jaw through his head completely. His body fell limp to the ground. I got up slowly and took my sword. I looked at the two fights and after a moment decided to go help the bartender. I charged toward my employer quickly and was about to stab him through the chest when he quickly turned around and made a large cut from my shoulder down to my waist with his big sword. it was a few inches deep and i was bleeding freely from it. I fell to the ground coughed up blood for a moment and fell unconscious.

I lied there drifting in and out of consciousness to see vincent and the bartender fighting. I barely manage to grab my dagger and when my employer walks by i manage to get a cut at his Achiles tendon. he stumbles slightly. Maybe this would give him an advantage. I fall unconscious again

I look at the dazed Drow. But then back at the man whom I had been calling names. I take the chance and jump on him, my hands meeting his face one after the other. After I knock his sword from him a few times, he goes limp, alive, but unconcious. I look at the Drow who had given me that opportunity. I grab a bottle of beer from the ground, and run to him. I pour it on his wounds to disinfect them, and rip a piece of his shirt to wrap and dress them. I then feel a pain explode on the back of my skull. I turn around and see Vincent still awake, but badly disorientated. I jump through the air and land before him, kicking in every way I can. He soon falls backwards and I hit his jaw with the heel of my foot. Effectively stunning him. I sigh a breath of relief.

I was walking the streets, with nothing to do since I still had not recieved any messages when I heard a very loud fight from one of my favorite bars, the one where I met the drow Jarlaxle. I poke my head in the door just as there is a loud crash and an explosion of dark purple that knocks everyone down, I was just far enough away to not get the full effect being half out of the door, I clear my vision quickly and see the same man from that other realm appear from where the brightest part of the nearly black purple explosion had started, he walked over and touched another man on the shoulder, they both proceeded to dissapear fairly quickly. "What the hell went on in here!" I said as I walked all the way in and looked at the damage, as I looked around I saw my favorite, if only because I dont know anyelse, drow lieing unconscious on the floor. I picked him up and slung him over my shoulder, he was bleeding pretty bad. I proceed to turn around and see another man, apperently unconscious do to being so close to the source of the explosion, he looked like he was in the tussle. I kicked him in the ribs for good measure, and turned around, walked quickly out of the bar. Stooping near where Jarlaxle had lain to grab his weapons I closed the large heavy doors behind me and headed to one of my hideouts. I laid the drow on the couch and sat to wait till he would wake up.

I wake up almost half a day later laying on a couch. My wounds had been attended to but i still couldn't really move. I look around and there wasn't anyone in the direct room. I look around and notice I'm in some sort of warehouse. It was furnished like a house though. I call out for someone anyone in a raspy voice" Where am i!" I waited for someone, anyone to come help me.

I wake up in the bar. "Ow, my head hurts!" I roll over, and look around. People still unconcious and one guy dead. I try to stand, but fall back down. "Damn..." I realize Vincent was gone. "Damn that ******** b*****d!!!" I scream and fall into unconsciousness again.

I slammed the door behind me, just to watch him jump, and walked over. "Well look who regained consciousness!" I pop the tab on my drink but dont take a sip. "So...what happened back there anyway? You looked like you took a real beating, I take that dead body was your doing? Ofcourse it was." I could explain what I saw later, better to feed even your companions only the information you wanted them to know unless you fully trusted them.

I coughed and then looked at him. "Jairn?" I asked. "is that really you?" I paused for a moment to take a breath. " I don't entirely remember. . . or employer. . . he attacked that man . . .and . .. KAHLAN!" I suddenly realized what had happened. was she ok?! What if she was dead?! I slowly get up and start limping towards the exit. " We have to save her!" I scream.

I get up and grab onto the table. I slowly look around. Kahlan, my teacher, was unconscious. I grab her and take her behind the bar, and let her be, with a pillow resting her head. I grab and heft the large dead man and take him to the back, and throw him in a random room. I then limp to get a broom, and start sweeping. The cops would be here soon, no doubt, had to make it look half way convincing. Bartender got drunk, had a wild party, man overdosed in the back room. Made since enough to get inside and get my buddy in the police department to make a few string pullings.

I rgab Jarlaxle firmly by the shoulder, he continues to rant about some girl and try to get out of my grasp. "Fine you know what? you're probably going to bleed to death but we might as well let you die huh? Fine whatever, lets go to the bar...I need a drink anyway."

I look at him after a moment nod. "do you have a car?" I ask him. I had to save her. I had to. " We might need to get her to the hospital" I say while limping towards the door and then have a coughing fit. I look in my hands and see them covered in blood from my coughing. I try to hide it from Jairn but it was obvious he would spot it.

I had the place cleaned up, broken furniture outside in the garbage dumpster, and Kahlan resting peacefully and stable. I sit down and make sure the beer dispensers and kegs were still working. That done, I open the bar up again. I guess I had my duties to still tend to. Really couldn't move her, she most likely had a concussion... The best thing to do was let her stay still till she woke up. I wish I could call a doctor, but that would call unnecessary attention...
