Kikyo smiled, just as the bell rang.
"Alright, ready?" she asked Kay, standing up. She put her sketchbook and pencil in her bag and waited.

Kikyo nodded and dragged Kay into the town. Down both sides of the road there were the cheery, happy go lucky stores. Kikyo took Kay down the left side.
"O.K, we're going to a store you probably walk past, either ignoring or hissing." she said, trying to get Kay's spirits up a little. "The name is: Nightmare Dungeon. It's a lot of blacks and reds outside. Looks creepy and a lot of freaky. Think Blade almost, but with black instead of white."

Kay's eyes widened. "Really now...." She took a deep breath and let it out slowly. "Ok...." She wans't exactly sure about this but...what other choice did she have?

Kikyo smiled and stopped a a store that was abnormally creepy outside. She smiled, and opened the door for Kay to go in first.
"Don't worry! They only bite if you ask them to." she said, still trying to joke a little bit. Kay still seemed a bit freaked-out.

Kay smiled nervously. "He..he...he..." She slowly walked inside. With a shudder she walked back outside. "I can't do this..."

Kikyo sighed.
"Kay, it's O.K. You wouldn't mind going into this store for Halloween. Halloween is the time for creepy, but it's wrong any other day?" she asked. "Are you thinking it's too creepy? Cause it isn't. The people in here are really nice. I've seen some preps come in here for the colored hair dyes, random and goofy shirts too, and I've never heard anything bad said about the people who don't really belong in here. Nothing bad will happen. I promise."

Kay looked back at the store. "Its...its just different..." She sighed. "I....I guess...I can try..." She took a deep breath and walked into the store again.

Kikyo followed Kay in and the door shut behind them. They walked through a black curtain, and into a room with black and red walls. Each wall was accompanied by dark-themed toys, accessories, and clothes. It was pretty well lit, and a lot of the t-shirts were goofy, not dark. Kikyo smiled, as the manager walked over.
"Hi Kikyo!" the girl said with a smile. "Who's your friend? And today only! Those gloves you wanted! The studded ones are on sale!"
"Hi Macey! This is Kay, and I'm not here for myself today." Kikyo replied with a smile. "She needs something to get preps off her back without looking total goth."
Well, follow me to the lighter side!" Macey joked, walking towards the far wall.

Kay smiled abit. She followed Macey and Kikyo, looking at all the stuff in sort of awe. She'd never thought that a place like this would be so...cool

Kikyo smiled at Kay.
"Macey, I'm thinking Emily the Strange and some black..." Kikyo started, then looked at Kay's legs. "make that dark-wash skinny or flare jeans. Maybe some hair bows, and..." Kikyo looked at her hair this time. "Some of the clip in extensions. Purple?" she looked at Kay for a response. Macey just waited.

"Alright. Maybe some combat boots. The white ones with purple paint splatters." Kikyo said, walking over to the clip-ins. She picked out three packages, and set them on the counter. Macey had three t-shirts in hand.
"So...How's this?" she asked, holding up a t-shirt. It was black with a huge picture of Gir in the front. "Or... This?" she held up and Emily the Strange one with a comic book scene. It read 'I may be odd, but I always get even.' "Or this one?" It was a skeleton bear with little wings, drawn kind of goofy, and it was on a purple and blue shirt trimmed in black.
"Kay?" Kikyo asked, looking at her friend. "Which one's do you want?" she waited.
((ps: currently obsessing over things like this right now! sweatdrop I didn't make any of these up. except that the skelanimal is blue and purple instead of red and purple. ^^ XD))

Kay looked at the shirts. "I like this one." She pointed to the skeleton bear shirt. Instead of being nervous, now Kay was excited.
