Solstice looked at God, her eyes screaming that he had betrayed her. She had lived her life in his service, and had fallen to serve him. She was at risk down there, and yet she now stood engaged to the man she despised, quite openly. Yet she found herself saying shakingly, ”You have my word…” And which that she accepted her fate as the bride to Lucifer, a fate she despised.

She removed herself from his arm, and went to follow Lucifer. To his rage, she was quiet depression. She ignored Lucifer’s demand to follow and went to Gabriel and Marius. “Marius, you’re in charge now…as his fiancé, I relinquish my rights to lead the Warriors…” Her voice shook with barely concealed sorrow, and anger. “Gabriel, I’m trusting you to not be rash…just…take care of the others, and each other for me please.” She gave Gabriel an uncharacteristic hug, one last good-bye between friends. Then she kissed Marius’ cheek, a silent apology for leaving what could have grown into a romance.

Then she grudgingly followed her new fiancé, the Dark Prince Lucifer through the portal, ignoring the stares of both sides, and emerged on the other side, in silence.

Marius simply smiled at Gabriel's awkward response, not wanting to worsen Gabriel's embarrassment. Then he turned back to Solstice, missing Lucifer's cruel comment to Gabriel.

"So, Miss Solstice, I was wondering," he began, gulping nervously. This was it. Silently, unknown to anyone, he had been preparing for this. "If you were not doing anything next weekend..." he continued. 'Good, this is good, keep it up, boy!' he cheered inwardly at himself. He had wanted to ask Solstice out to an Earth-bound date ever since she accepted his proposal as her escort. Of course, it was nothing serious, but he much enjoyed Solstice when she was not a Captain. He wanted to see more of that Solstice.

But then the worst happened. He was interrupted by the big man himself. And what's worse, God asked her to join him and Lucifer privately. Only then did he remember how Solstice's eyes kept wandering over to that nasty devil. This was the first time he ever thought of him personally in a negative light, and now it was the only way he could think of him. Was it jealously? Perhaps.

He was in no mood for dessert, nor was a stroll what he needed. He wanted very badly to find out what they were discussing, that was his only desire at that moment. No one stole moments. Not from Marius.

But there was no way to follow them without being obvious. So he simply waited for them to return from the stone path. There were silly conversations all around, and not only was he in no mood for talk, but if he was, he would have had no desire to participate. Or would he? His mind was muddled, that was certain.

Lucifer came striding through, angered and shouting. Marius waited for Solstice to emerge, focusing his sight on where the devil has just emerged.

First, it was her name. The devil had said it, and oddly, too. Why would she be going with-

Then it was that word. Fiance.

"What...?" Marius said in a whisper. His mind, heart, and breath shut down for one long moment. Once his breath returned, it was labored, and his returned mind was as frantic as his breath. But his heart failed to return. In between labored breaths, he caught bits of his scattered thoughts. "He must be lying..." "But then, why would they..." "No, let's just..."

Solstice emerged from the path, approaching Gabriel and him. His heart began beating again, furious and hurt.

She confirmed the engagement with her own words, and he could not speak. With those words, she named him Captain, something enormous, yet something to which he could not bear thought to give at that moment. She kissed his cheek, and he struggled not to wrap his arms around her, forbidding her escape to the depths of hell.

She walked away, and he took two small, delicate steps toward her and reached out his hand before clutching his stomach and falling on his knees.

He had been wrong about how he had felt. And it was only now that he realized that he truly, truly liked Solstice as much more than a Captain or a friend.

And there was one last thing. Until now, he had not known why everyone had hated Lucifer and the Underworld so. And now he felt their pain, their fear, their hate.

It was that hate that lifted his head and burned in his eyes as he glared at the portal that had taken Solstice away.

Music of the post

The sun had slipped from me, growing fainter, darker times are ahead. It was my decision and it is my fault, but it is for the best. Just believe…

God watch them slip into the netherworlds. A place beyond his reach, a place he could only change by pulling strings on the outside. Would the tapestry he was trying to thread together work? Or did he tie the knots at the wrong places…no, he would succeed this time, he had faith.

God turned away from the place the portal had appeared, ripping through space, it had now mended itself. His grey eyes surveyed the rest of the party, thoughtfully before he spoke in his deep soothing voice. “My friends and followers please take your time in finishing your meals before you head back to our daily routines. It was a pleasure to see all you and now I must take my leave.” It was his little way of saying, forget what you have seen, though the very sound of his voice helped put some at ease. “Marius, pray come to my meeting chamber after your captain duties.” God added before he inclined his head and began to walk away. Freya swooped down from the sky and perched lightly upon God’s outstretched arm. Soon the image of the two grew fainter, before disappearing all together.

I wear an impenetrable armor, yet those words passed right through it and sliced me open…

User Image
Anything that had Lucifer involved in it never ended well. And Gabriel had an ominous feeling when Solstice joined the pair…but this! He could not believe it at first and it was only until his captain disappeared through the portal, did Gabriel realize that it was happening. Lucifer took Gabriel’s friend away. Just like he had done so many times when they were little…always taking Gabriel’s loved ones away from him. All Gabriel was able to do was nod almost dumbly to Solstice’s request, he didn’t even get a chance to say goodbye…

I failed you once, and now I am made to trudge upon your grave…your memory. Forgive me, my love…

Lucifer gazed upon his manor, his domain. It was magnificent, but right now it meant no more meaning then a just a pile of bricks. “Mitsu, please escort Solstice to her room.” Lucifer said in a well toned voice, though he kept his gaze straight, from the corner of his eyes he watched Mitsu as she bowed and beckoned Solstice to follow her into the house. He felt Leo make a move towards him, but said, more sharply then he wished, “Leave me alone!” before turning away from the manor. Lucifer could only let out a growl of warning at Crowe as he passed and continued towards the expansive gardens. His mind felt numb, his eyes went from focused to seeing the world as a hazy blur while he walked through green clipped lawns. Knowing where his legs were leading him even though he caught glimpses of the garden, until his feet stopped in front of the blossoming cherry tree. A few pink hued petals floated down…down onto a small carved out area of dirt.
User Image
He stared at patch of rich soil, where what looked like dying thorny stems had emerged. A plaque was under the spiny bush and Lucifer bent down onto one knee to brush off the dirt and stray pink petals. It was lacquer black marble with an elegant golden engraving that read, “In remembrance to a soul of insurmountable kindness and beauty, my she rest in peace, Delilah Wheaton. Lucifer remembered the rose he had cultured for her, with petals of the color of a raven’s feather. A rare, but noble bread of Black Roses. They had grown strong and proud, but now they were a withered mass. Lucifer had lost the heart to carry them on, and even now to revive them. “Delilah,” Lucifer murmured softly, but it carried the pain that was piercing his heart. Lucifer’s head was solemnly bowed.

After a few moments, he heard the snap of a twig, but he already knew who had followed him, who would follow him to the deepest parts of hell…

I can’t bring help, I just bring bad tidings. My dreams tell me the worst is yet to come. This is just a warning before the storm…

Lucifer suddenly spoke her name and Mitsu nearly jumped. “Ah, yes. Of course.” She replied in a worried voice as her dark eyes trailed away from her cousin. What was he feeling, even Mitsu wouldn’t be able to sieve through the darkness that wraps his mind. But she felt the other troubled soul near her, at least she could do some good here. Mitsu turned to gaze up at Solstice, smiling kindly she said politely, “Please follow me.” She then turned gracefully to walk up the steps toward the house, whose double doors opened automatically, as if welcoming their return. Mitsu led Solstice up the stairs and down one of the corridors to the last room that was reserved for guests. Opening the door revealed an expansive, yet barren room.
User Image
“Your room will take the shape and feel of how you desire it. Dinner is served at 8,” Mitsu paused, hesitated, then added, “but I can bring you something up to your room if you would rather not…join us…yet…”

She didn’t know how Solstice would respond and could only wish right now that one day, they may become family-like.

I knew something would happen, but what could I do, the world is a stage and we are merely players...

Leo stared at the back of his master. He could almost sense the feeling emitting from Lucifer, like an aura of ever changing colors. First rage, frustration, sadness, anger, and then it was back to rage. A vicious cycle ensnaring his mind. The silence was only broken when Lucifer ordered Mitsu. It was then, as Solstice passed him, that Leo felt something…something wasn’t right. His red eyes watched Solstice disappear into the manor before he returned his attention to Lucifer to see what he could do. But the words of his master was like a whip and Leo stayed rooted to the spot, only allowed to watch the silver locks whip around the corner. Leo had an inkling of where Lucifer was going.

He stood where he was and watched the group disband, as each went off to do their own jobs or retreated back into the house. Then he followed Lucifer’s trail. Weaving around bushes and ornamentally cut trees shaped like animals, even those shaped like a chess pieces amidst a play. Further on into the garden he walked until he caught sight of the cherry tree. A tree Lucifer’s mother had seeded and grown. Below is Lucifer, kneeling before Delilah’s memorial. Leo approached slowly, not knowing if Lucifer was ready, but his master made a rubbing motion at with his face with his hands and stood up. Meeting the breeze that flew through his long silver mane before turning to look at Leo. Who could only watch in awe and sorrow.

“I’m sorry, my dear friend,” Lucifer said with a sad smile. Leo shook his head as if to say, ‘No need. “Out of all the things to shake up my life again,” Lucifer whispered as he looked back onto the rose patch. “Well, we shall see how long she lasts, an angel does not belong in this realm, it won’t be long till she is driven mad.” Lucifer commented, his voice hardening.
User Image
“True, but…” Something kept crossing Leo’s mind, he had a strange feeling about Solstice, and he couldn’t put his finger on it…not yet anyways. Leo was about to say something when his phone vibrated. It was the Distressed App indicated that somewhere out there in the mortal world, someone was ready…to make a deal. Leo looked up at his master.

…Somewhere out there, a broken voice whispered… “I’m going to jump”

…and it was Lucifer who was going to respond.

Marius' eyes blazed with fury, never letting go of the portal's location. But soon words came that soothed the sorest of angels, as they were meant to do. God's words allowed a release from his staring, but not his anger. He had no desire to finish his meal, but he knew those words were not meant for him. At the words directed only at him, he stood and bowed.

"Yes, sir," he said neutrally, no trace of the passionate rage - nor of he encompassing depression and darkness - that filled his being. Once he left with his beautiful bird, Marius lifted his head and walked straight to the one man that he could depend on, the only man that could help him now.

"Gabriel, could I speak to you?" he started to say, continuing with his neutral, alien-like tone. "There are a few things concerning my new position that need discussing, but I would rather do so privately." This was all true, and if Marius had been conscious, he would have fretted that Gabriel would think that Marius cared nothing for Solstice's departure. Nothing could be farther from the truth, but Marius cared not what he thought - nor what anyone thought - for perhaps the first time in his life. "Shall we meet at my place, or would you rather pick the location? I would rather go now, but if you must finish your meal..." he said, knowing fully that Gabriel would leave with him.

~ Yumeri Winters ~

___The whole place felt like a ten megaton weight fell on everyone's head at the news of Solstice going back to Hell at Lucifer's side... as his fiancée. Yumeri just couldn't believe it; even though she had been expecting something was up, the angels' Captain getting engaged to the Prince of Hell himself was not one of her thought up scenarios. The healer felt a sharp pain to her chest and brought a hand to it as she silently watched Solstice and those damn advocates walk through the portal and leave. Winters sighed heavily, her mind still racing. "What is going to become of her? Will she be okay, surrounded by these..." She frowned, stopping her brain from going further in paranoia.

___Watching the very same woman she had so much respect for, the one she admired in a way, walk away with whom she considered to be her clan's enemies hurt, and it did disappoint her to see God going along with it. Wasn't there any other way? Anything that would make this awkward scene right again? Maybe the Almighty had bigger, smarter plans in mind but to give away an angel like this seemed... almost sinful. The white haired one looked down at her meal's remains; with a stomach on the verge of sending all that has been eaten back where it came from, finishing her plate probably wasn't the best of ideas.

___Taking her twin blue eyes away from her dish, Yumeri took a good look around herself; she thought of how it pained her to see Solstice go, but what about the people that were truly close to the Captain? The young healer stood up from her chair, and took a few steps towards Gabriel and Marius. "Hum... Mari- I mean, Lord Marius, Lord Gabriel..." She addressed them with a soft, shy voice. "It may be somewhat of a dumb question, but... How are you feeling? How are you taking this?"

Gabriel could have been mistaken for a sculpture by the motion less stance he kept to. Though Gods words eased Gabriel’s tightened spirit, it only allowed the blood to flow easier from the cuts in his heart. He only stirred when a new voice reached out to him. He didn’t expect Marius to approach him, but now that he did, Gabriel was quite grateful.“Ah…yes, how about we meet in your quarter, now, I have definitely lost my appetite.” He replied to Marius. Gabriel shifted his weight, the movement of his body made his armor creak and shudder. For once the reverberating sound of grinding metal annoyed Gabriel and he planned to remove this confining exoskeleton when he got the chance.

Then a voice called out to him and Marius and Gabriel turned to find the healer addressing him. He had heard of Yumeri’s talent as a healer and had even surreptitiously watched over the training for new healers. Well, as covertly one could when they wore pounds of molded metal. Maybe he should take this bright healer under his wing and teach her what he know, that way…that way if something happened to him, the knowledge that has been passed through his family will be preserved. Do exactly what his mother did before she met her untimely death. ‘Yes…' he thought though replied, “Thank you Healer Winters, I can safely say that an idea I have just been thinking over is helping me not to focus…on the pain.” Gabriel had said frankly. “Maybe you will join us as we make our way out of the gardens?” he asked.

From the corner of his unimpeded vision, Pan Jr. appeared, his face that was not covered in soft brown fur was slightly flushed. The news of the engagement had already spread. It seemed that the young faun was still digesting the news for he was slightly absent minded. “I believe we, have finished our meals,” Gabriel informed him and the faun nodded distractedly.

Solstice paused, her eyes looking at the beautiful room she was to stay in. Truly never had such a gilded cage existed. She stepped inside, and touched the window that overlooked outside. ”…If someone would be kind enough to show me…I will join…” She murmured, her eyes never leaving the moon now hanging above. It left bar like shadows across her, she left the feeling reverberate through her soul.

Suddenly something shifted in her, and she cried in sudden pain. Her back arched, as her wings fought to escape their binding. She struggled to keep the gray wings inside their confinement. ”AH!!” She screamed in absolute pain, fighting the shift. As suddenly, as it hit her, it dropped her, and she collapsed on to the floor, the gown pooling around her. ”God have mercy on me…” She moaned softly, unable to rise.

Astril giggled at the descriptions of Lucifer's previous cakes, the idea of his face melting made her smile brightly. It would have been quite the sight. She was a little disappointed at the fact that she hadn't been employed then and missed it.

Hearing Gods booming voice, Astril took in a sharp breath, the announcement of her master's engagement made her eyes bug. All she could do to keep herself from gasping was to hold her small hands to her mouth. How could God do this to her lord? And how could he let him?! He's Lucifer! Lord of Hell, with powers equal to that of the lord of good. Yet he was taking orders from him.
Astril believed it was probably because God was his uncle, and it was more a family need then a holy request.

At her master's orders, the girl stood up and followed her comrades through the portal home. Once there, all was almost deathly silent. It was shattered by Lucifer's rather harsh order to his cousin, whom she had come to respect and like, Mitsu. Astril stood by the stairwell quietly, nervously twisting the soft lace fabric that embellished her party dress, wondering how they would all deal with an angel being in their presence. She walked up the stairs to meet up with Mitsu, hoping talking to her would give a sense of comfort that she couldn't otherwise find in Hell.

As Astril entered the room where the two women resided, she was startled with a scream from the angel. The sort of sound that made her want to smile. She couldn't help it, there was just something deliciously wonderful about the sound the writhing creature made. Maybe it was just her strong distaste for those on the opposite side of issues, or maybe it was just for the woman herself. Astril didn't like the way that the angel pretended to be strong when in reality she was just a scared, imperfect creature like herself and her associates. Where did she get the right to be an angel when she herself was stained, no longer innocent. She belonged with the advocates down in hell.

Astril gazed over at Mitsu to see what she could make of the matter, hoping maybe she could enlighten her as to why the woman was screaming.

Marius nodded at the expected answer, glad to make progress. It was a better thing to focus on than rescue, after all. But that would come later, in a darker hour...

He had already turned toward the exit when Yumeri approached. Somehow her voice softened the disappointment, the pain from Solstice's absent. So, instead of annoyance, he turned to her with a faint, grateful smile.

Gabriel spoke first, proposing that she actually join them. Of course, Marius' purpose had been to talk to Gabriel privately, so Marius paused, trying to avoid showing his annoyance. He took the moment to think. Gabriel, being a reasonable and logical man, would have ascertained Marius' want for privacy. Which meant that whatever Gabriel's reason for inviting Yume was, it was just.

"I... would rather not go into details, Miss Yume. But thank you for your concern,"
he said softly, doing his best to give her the same smile he used to give her many times at when seemed like an eternity ago. "Which, of course, gives you light as to what I am feeling..." he said, attempting comedy but only ended up sounding more bitter than he felt. He attempted to repair his grave mistake with a bright smile, but it felt fake, and he gave up with that.

"Well, let's go, then,"
he said neutrally and began to lead them to his home.

~ Yumeri Winters ~

___Hearing both answers from Gabriel and Marius, Yumeri couldn't help but to let her head drop and her eyes wander to the ground; she couldn't even fathom how painful it must've been for the two knights. After a moment of silence, Winters blinked a few times to bring her fleeing irises back and focus. A hand on her forehead, the healer looked up and stared into Gabriel's visor, analyzing his question like it just went through her ears and to her brain. "O-Of course. I would be honoured to..." She nodded, dropping her pale hand back to her side.

___A light sound was heard to the side and Pan Jr was seen. By the look on the creature's face, it did seem like the news had already left the dining table and scattered throughout the place, or maybe he just didn't eat something fresh... But the first option was more likely than the latter one. The young angel looked at both men, ready to leave, and let them step forward: since they were much higher than her in ranks, it was only natural for the healer to be the follower and not the followed. Her fingers were laced together, her hands tied in front of her, sometimes untied but gripping at her blue gown. Head low still, her saddened eyes rolled up at Solstice's closest friends. "Come on, Yumeri. Get a hold of yourself." She frowned at herself; of course this was a rather sad time seeing as Solstice, a loved, trusted and respected angel, had just walked away with the demons... But, even though it was easier said than done, Yumeri just had to keep faith: Solstice would do fine, right? She wasn't Captain of the angels for any reason. To Yumeri's eyes, Solstice was a strong woman, both physically and mentally and in no way could a handful of sinful dogs take her down! Not only that, but surely the angels would have a plan to get her back and make this weird twist of events all right. The Light will prevail, the Light always prevails!... Right?

"Or am I just fooling myself away from the truth...?" Winters sighed to herself.

They walked in silence for a few moments, each surely lost in their own private contemplation as was Gabriel. He had three things weighing in his mind.

The first was the hope to pass on his mother’s healing techniques to the next generation. For years now Gabriel had severed his ties from healing. But Marius’s splinching incidence recalled back the vivid memories of Gabriel’s youth and the power a healer had. Something told him that Yumeri would be the next predecessor for the ancient techniques. Yes…it was making sense now…

The second problem was between him and Marius. The continuation of the Holy Warrior hung in the balance. The integral response to Lucifer’s evil deeds upon the mortal world. He knew Marius needed to discucss much with him in private. And sooner the better before the Advocates began to move once more…

So distracted was his mind that by the time he was thinking about his third problem, the trio had arrived in the grand entrance. It seemed like eons ago that they had gathered in this chamber this morning, wondering what the event would bring. ’No one could have, would have even thought about the outcome that had!’ Gabriel thought darkly to himself as his visiored view scanned the marble stairway and halls. Everything was pristine and the same, just as they had left it, but everyone’s one world wasn’t…

The last problem had the most ludicrous idea that was consuming Gabriel’s mind...

…the idea to break into Lucifer’s domain to retrieve Solstice.

A foolhardy mission would need careful planning. One couldn’t just stroll into Hell and on top of that, for an angel to enter the world of Darkness…there were repercussions. Some Solstice, an angel would no doubt be feeling soon. For something pure, a being of light, the representation and essence of good to dwell in a world bathed in darkness, evil, and despair. It slowly breaks the mind of an angel, warping them, changing them forever. Gabriel had watched it happen…watch it happen to someone related to him…then again he was already warped…destined for a place in Hades, but Solstice wasn’t. The very thought pained Gabriel and his mind began wandering through what he knew about Lucifer’s territory…here Gabriel’s own ties to that side would prove valuable…somewhere hidden in his history were answers to get there…if only he could find the key to solve this dilemma…a…key!

Gabriel nearly stumbled over his own metal clothed foot! >CLANG!< >CRASH!< So loud of a sound did his fall make that the noise continued to echo around the marble room even after Gabriel laid there sprawled upon his back. Gabriel let out a moan as pain shot through his leg. Curse his concentration! “Yumeri!” Called Gabriel, ignoring formalities for the moment. As a healer, Yumeri was no doubt familiar with the hospital and the pharmacy room where all the medicinal bottles were kept. It was rows upon rows of medicine stocks, but a seasoned and knowledgeable healer would only need a few clues and they would be able to locate the exact location of the specific bottle they needed. “Pharmacy, asphodel flowers, please!” Gabriel gasped. Out of all the possible times to trip up an old notorious wound from his past. If only it had been near or in his room, Gabriel would have been safe, now he could only hope that Yumeri was still a greenhorn behind the history of asphodel.

Gabriel waited for Yumeri to leave before he turned his helmet covered head towards Marius. “I feel like a turtle stuck upon his backside.” He said grudgingly.

User ImageMitsu remained silent as she watched Solstice inspect the room, wondering how the bedrooms of Heaven were like when she suddenly jumped out of fright. At that moment

Mitsu’s heavily lidded eyes were wide with fright as she wielded around and found Astril standing near the doorway. “Le-o,” Mitsu barely formed the words properly before she began regaining her control. “Astril, please bring Leo over here…I’m sure he is in the garden with Lucifer.” Whipping around so that her long raven like hair fanned about, Mitsu sprinted towards Solstice.
She kneeled next to Solstice, her arms out and ready to help, but hovering at a distance and trembling slightly for Mitsu had no idea what was ailing the women. What could be causing such intense so suddenly? The fact that she, an angel, was now in the domain of hell? Surely not…right? “Miss Solstice!” Mitsu asked imploring, “What is wrong?! What can I do?!”
The way the moonlight shone into the room, it bathed Solstice in luminescent light and made the red stitching on her dress…look like blood.

Solstice moaned softly, still dazed by the sudden shift inside her. She could feel her tainted wings struggling to expand and defend her from the unknown agony. She was unsure herself what had just happened, though she had a worried feeling in her stomach. It grew as her eye caught a grey feather, which vanished as soon as she had seen it...a shadow. "I...do not know. The feeling is gone now..." She mummered weakly sitting up, remaining on the ground. Solstice remained back feeling for her wings, sighing softly when she realized they were still hidden.

Astril jumped at Mitsu's sudden request. Nodding, she shuffled out the door. The girl smiled as she left, the scream of the angel still ringing in her ears.

Astril moved about the garden in a state of haste. She needed to find Leo as soon as possible. Her heart raced as she ran about, her party dress skimming the ground and becoming soiled at the hems. Cursing, she finally sat in the dirt for a moment, letting her temper settle before she had a tantrum right there in the fertilizer.

Once she was calmed, Astril continued her search until finally she came across the man known as Leo. "Hey!" She called out as she hoisted her dress to her knees and ran over. "Hey Leo! Mitsu needs you up in the angels room." She reached the man's side and smiled. "I'm not sure what its about though. The angel just started screaming bloody murder. Its not like its that bad here. Actually, Lord Lucifer is very kind. Hes not all flames and damnation that Hell used to be all about. Hes much more practical now." Astril realized she had been rambling and stopped. She blushed slightly then moved away towards one of her master's lovely black rose bushes. She hoped Leo didn't think too poorly of her. She didn't like looking like a fool.

Leo flipped through the description of the newly distressed applicant and was about to say something Lucifer and this matter when the relative calmness of the garden was shattered. Leo wiped around to stare at Mitsu, who bounded towards him. Leo let out a soft sigh to hear that Mitsu was safe and nothing majorly wrong had happened…save the angel screaming…bloody murder. Could the realm be affecting her so acutely? Leo was now becoming very curious, though allowed himself to smile at Astril’s description of Lucifer.

Lucifer, on the other hand gave a great laugh at hearing Astril’s comment about him. “If Uncle starts sending more permanent residents down here, then I might just revert to flames and dark damnation! It wasn’t so bad, Leo made a lot of barbeque back then!” Lucifer smiled, he was back to his usually self, which relived Leo enough to not worry about leaving his master’s side. He needed to get to aid Mitsu now. “Thank you for alerting me Astril, now if you two kindly excuse me I will help Mitsu.” He turned around and was about to take a step forward, but hesitated, No, it was fine to leave his side, besides Astril is with him…what could go wrong?” And with that Leo trotted off quickly, his quick long strides weren’t unusually fast, yet somehow Leo found his way to the front door in mere minutes.

Meanwhile, a bewildered Mitsu was wringing her hands together. She wasn’t endowed with healing powers and actually was not keen to see the sight of blood, unlike her demonic relatives who lust for it. Unsure of what to do until Solstice spoke, untying the many knots twisted inside Mitsu’s stomach. She was relieved that the lady was not screaming or writhing in pain anymore, though her voice denoted great fatigue. “Shall I get you something? Warm milk perhaps? Something to soothe your nerves?” It was just then Leo entered through the door, his red eye’s flashing. Mitsu leapt to her feet, embarrassed for now bothering Leo and no doubt worrying him.

Leo scanned the room, his devilish eyes falling onto Solstice before turning to Mitsu with a more questioning look. “Well?”

Back in the garden, Lucifer had watched Leo retreat towards the house before he withdrew his own phone. Glancing at it for a moment, he smiled, then pocketed the phone into his robe. “Astril, would you like to accompany me on a little adventure?” He asked, his smile widening.
