During her wait for Tsurui's return she had grown a bit fidgety and began combing out any knots that may be in her hair with her fingers. In not too long, she had simply begun running fingers through silky smooth hair and completely untangled locks. She had hardly heard Suzaku's words.

When Tsurui returned, her hands were reclasped in her lap and she had begun to hum a soft little tune to help focus her mind on something other than waiting. The second she heard Tsurui walk back through the door, the humming ceased and she watched in silence as he took a seat next to her. Slowly, she leaned next to him and hugged him, not minding the fresh blood that began to stain her clothes the same as his.

For once, Tsurui, didn't tremble as she hugged him, he simpley hugged her back. He quite enjoyed the time spent with her, however short it might be. He pulled away though, when he realised that by hugging her he was getting all the fresh blood he had on him, onto her. "Er...i'm getting you all messy." He said with a soft laugh.

Meanwhile at the bar, Suzaku was having a wonderful time with Paranoia. "Come on y-you shlub! You can take down more than that. You have-haven't even taken enough for a lethal amount!" She yelled out, already slightly drunk. She turned to see Tsurui and Kittie sitting happily in each others arms. Not a care in the world. "Heh, i couldn't make him leave now, for the first time...he seems almost happy." As she stared at them both, Paranoia had pulled on ahead and drank more RosesThorn. With a hard thud, he hit the floor, unconcious. With a laugh Suzaku just squatted on the floor next to him. "Hehe, light weight." not wanting to clutter up the floor, she tried to lift him, and hopefully carry him to a vacant bedroom where he could rest. "Er...Tsurui? Little help? I'm a wee bit to drunk to actually pick him up right now."

Tsurui, not wishing to get up, walked over to Paranoia and slung him over his shoulder. He looked back at Kittie, who had blood splattered on her face now from his hug. He let out a small laugh and carried Paranoia up to a vacant room.

Quite comfortable in Tsurui's arms, she pouts inwardly when he lets her go then smiles and almost laughs at his reason for doing so. Shrugging, she says, "It's only blood, and besides, it's pretty." Looking at the fresh stains of blood upon her, she smiles a bit gleefully and inhales the sweet scent.

At Suzaku's request for Tsurui's aid, she now pouts outwardly, not wishing him to leave her side. Watching him help his brother, she follows his back with her eyes, waiting for him to return to her once more.

With the combined weight of both Paranoia and Tsurui, everyone in the bar could hear them as he stomped his way up the stairs. "Geez, how much do you weigh? I don't remember you ever being this heavy." Finally finding a vacant room, he kicks open the door, and throws his brother down onto the bed. "Here, get some rest you drunkard, geez. Challenging Suzaku to a drinking contest. You should have known you'd lose." Tsurui just sighed and closed the door, and headed back downstairs. "Oh boy...he's gonna be pissed when he gets up." Once downstairs his eyes quickly searched the room for Kittie. Seeing her sitting waiting for him, lifted his spirits.

He walked back over to her, and without even thinking, sat back down, in almost the exact same way, his arms already embracing her in a hug. "Heh, sorry about that. Paranoia can't seem to hold his own against Suzaku..." His voice trailed off as he realised what he was actually doing. "Oh..er...hmm..." He sat with an awkward smile, not sure whether to pull away or, stay the way he was. "Er...sorry?" He said with a nervous laugh, he didn't want to let go of Kittie, but at the same time; this was very new to him, and very out of character.

She giggled as she heard the heavy steps that meant Tsurui was making headway up the stairs and into a room with Paranoia slung over his shoulder. She hoped his brother would be fine when he woke up and wondered if Death Jesters got hangovers. Laughing outloud at the thought, the room sounded as if a handful of bells had been bumped into and set off.

When Tsurui returned to the room, she caught his eyes looking at her, making her smile all the more brightly and feel just a bit giddy. His hug was soothing and she loved the smell of blood on him. She grinned at the comment about his brother being unable to match his sister in a game of drinks. Her eyes sparkled at the sight of his smile, awkward though it may have been. She held him close to her, ignoring his apology and unconsciously wishing he would ignore it too.

Tsurui, just let out a slightly happy sigh and hugged her tightly, his cheek gently nuzzeling against hers. Just as he was getting comfortable, with Kittie in his arms, and it felt as though nothing could break such a perfect moment. A loud crashing sound came from the room Paranoia was staying in. "Oh no..." He said softly, as if he were whispering into her ears. "I'll...be back. Just, don't go outside..." He hugged her tightly, not wanting to let go.

A few seconds later, a crash could be heard from outside the bar. Just as Tsurui had guessed. It was Paranoia, he was awake and very unhappy. This was the equivalent of a human's hangover. With scythe in hand, Tsurui stood before his brother. "Come on Paranoia...don't do this, not again. I told you. Don't drink with Suzaku. What do you do? You get plastered, and now look at you. This is hardly fitting of a Jester of your calibur." Without a word, Paranoia began to barrage Tsurui with dozens of the daggers he carried with him.

"Dammit..." Tsurui fended his brother off, as best he could without attacking him. If Kittie was in fact watching he didn't want her to see his other side, the side bathed in blood and insanity.

Obedient to Tsurui's command, for now, she does not leave the building. Instead, she perches herself at a window, curious to see what kind of commotion Paranoia could be causing, not that there was any sort of selection to pick from in terms of what kind, it was rather more of a, "what is he doing?" type of curiousity. She didn't want to see Tsurui get hurt and she didn't know what she would or even could do exactly, but she just couldn't stay put and not know what was going on.
PostPosted: Sun Mar 26, 2006 2:06 am

Tsurui could feel the bite of the daggers into his flesh, his own blood pouring out. He didn't know how to calm his brother down, whenever Paranoia got like this, he'd just be left alone to tire out. Usually going on a murderous rampage did the trick. But now with someone he cared about at risk, he couldn't take the chance. Tsurui, didn't want to see Kittie get hurt.

Without any time to think, he did the only thing he knew how. That was to take his enraged brother down. Like before with Reina, Tsurui's scythe reacted to its masters thoughts, the blade changing and elongating. It shone with a dark aura before splitting up into millions of metallic shards. "Okay Paranoia, I AM sorry for this, i know you'll understand when you come to..." Tsurui slowly approached him, the daggers cutting deep into his flesh, the metallic shards following behind. "I'm sorry bro...you know i am." He had slowly backed Paranoia against a wall, almost all his daggers had been expended. Without so much as lifting his hand, the metallic shards shot out and into Paranoia, pinning him firmly to the wall, he bled profusely, but was for the time being immobilized. "Just stay there, until you calm down, kay?"

Tsurui walked back into the bar, Paranoia's blood almost blotting out his own. He smiled happily at Kittie who was sitting at the window. He didn't approach her, even though he wanted to. Instead, he collapsed on the couch close by, a vicious smile on his face. His hand hung over the side, dangling just above the floor. In his mind, he wished for Kittie to sit with him, but being a Jester; he was never that forward.

Watching the fight, she grew distressed, going on the verge of insanely panicked seeing the amount of blood being spilled, Tsurui's blood. She could hardly contain the desire to run outside and disobey Tsurui's wish but managed to stay at her post behind the glass pane of the window. Seeing Tsurui pin his own brother and watching Paranoia now bleed in turn, she didn't even have a fleeting idea of what to do. Was it okay for Death Jesters to bleed so? She didn't know.

When Tsurui returned to the bar she wanted to throw herself at him and hold him tightly but she sat paralyzed by the multitude of thoughts rushing through her mind. She smiled back with uncertainty when he smiled at her, then became positively beffudled when he did not come to her. Seeing him collapse on the couch, hand dangling over the side, her worry trampled out her confusion, kicking it aside as if it were a mere insect intruding on her pathway to some treasure she could not name. She caught his hand in hers and lay next to him, holding him to her, for all the world wishing that the blood soaking her clothes belonged to anyone other than him.

Remembering the memories from the wall she'd touched earlier, she hesitated to try and use her hands to heal his wounds. If healing herbs would do nothing but harm him further, what would healing magic do? She did not know. She hoped it would not prove to hold the same effects for him as those of the healing herbs. If she could heal him, she would only too gladly erase the wounds caused by those dreadful daggers. Finding the least grave laceration on his body, she experimentally held her hand above it, about to try and heal it. If only she knew what this doing's outcome would be. Her hand quavered above the wound, hesitating to commit to any particular action, afraid of hurting him even more.

The whole time she held him with her other arm, resting her body next to his, unable to come to a conclusion as to what she should do.

Tsurui was bleeding badly, he kept his distance from Kittie though. The blood of Jesters was acidic, and could easily burn through metal, it would make short work of anothers flesh. His body was weak though, and couldn't pull away, with his free arm he wrapped it around Kittie, pulling her close.

"Heh, you can't get to close. My blood, isn't something you want to touch..." He pushed her hand away, as she attempted to heal him, and laid it against his cheek. "I'll be fine, just...gimme a bit of time." His eyes were closed tightly, as the blood poured down from a gash along his face. Outside, Paranoia was screaming wildly, trying to remove the dozens of shards jutting out of his flesh. Even the acidic bite of his blood couldn't eat away at the metal of Tsurui's scythe.

"Tsu...rui?" he mumbled out as the last bit of strength left his body. Falling unconcious, Paranoia slid to the ground, as the shards disappeared.

Keria, the ghost had simply seen enough. She stood abrubtly and nearly ran out of the room. If the Jester had been in that sort of mood when she had died, she wouldn't have died at all. She remembered his words exactly. Her hand had had his sythe sticking through it into the wall be hind her, leaving her immobile and he had leaned over and wispered in her ear. "You, Keria are the first of the Moon children I have ever killed. I would have never killed any of your kind, you don't get in our way, but I was paid to kill you." He had laughed insanely at this point and continued. "Yes my princess, your dear older brother, the only one of your siblings not a moon child, paid me to kill you. He paid me a good deal too. He was tired of you and your sisters gift. He wanted you all destroyed. And I will give it to him." His words stung. Not even as much as the death he had delivered.

Hearing Tsurui's words, it stung her heart. To not be able to come too close when he was hurt, inaction was almost too much to bear. Gently stroking his cheek, she wished with every part of her being for him to be fine. She shut her eyes and winced inwardly, wishing to snuggle up against him and give him warmth but keeping her body still as to not touch the blood pouring out of his body. She tried to keep her emotions at bay and think things through. What should she do? What could she do? Her mind was a blank. She could not think of anything she was capable of doing with her magic. It scared her. She was usually able to keep her head in situations such as these. She normally wasn't one to panic. Her thoughts ranged from capricious to sensible, not panicked.

Laying next to him was all she could do for the moment and she wished that soon, very soon, she would be able to take him into her arms again and hold him close.

Time passed, as the two laid next to one another, as Tsurui had said, it was only a matter of time, before his wounds would heal. Opening his eyes, he saw Kittie laying next to him, still feeling relatively weak, he managed to sit up, and look around the room.

"Ugh...my head hurts." It felt as though Paranoia had stuck all of his daggers into one section of his head. He peaked out the window, and saw that Paranoia had gotten up already, and was patiently sitting at the bar, awaiting his brothers wake. Shamefully, he stood and walked over to Tsurui, he said nothing, instead he placed two flasks infront of them. One was full of DragonsBlood, the other with HumanBlood. Although Paranoia didn't speak often, the expression in his eye made up for it. The look of shame and self-loathe was evident, even in the cold-blooded killers eyes. Tsurui just let out a laugh and grabbed his brother. "You idiot." He had Paranoia in a headlock as he bopped him repeatedly on the head. "No apology, just DON'T challenge Suzaku again, remember that's MY job, not yours." He released him and let him on his way. "Hehe, sorry i worried you like that. It takes a lot of energy to take down Paranoia." Without so much as a thought, he took Kittie in his arms and hugged her tight, not wanting to let go. He laughed slightly though, when he saw the dried blood all over her face.

"Geez, you're a mess." He smiled and gently wiped her cheeks off with his hand. "See this is what happens when you get involved with a Jester, you run out of clean clothes. Fast."
PostPosted: Sun Mar 26, 2006 2:47 pm

Seeing Tsurui sit up, her spirits rise. She watches as Paranoia sets a couple of flasks before them and smiles at his gesture. Letting out a small laugh, she watches Tsurui's reaction to his brother and her eyes sparkle with amusement.

At the touch of Tsurui's hand and the feeling of his arms wrapped about her, she smiles happily. Her cheeks turn a light pink as he comments on her state of appearance but smiles nonetheless at the care he shows her. Shaking her head and grinning like a child, she replies, "Clean clothes don't matter. Besides, I could always wash them or clean them out my own way, and even if I didn't, I wouldn't mind matching a bit."

Tsurui couldn't help but giggle at the idea of her matching. "You wouldn't mind matching eh? I can arrange that." He smiled and pulled out a small dagger, from his pocket, and cut a small X across his palm. As his hand filled with blood, he soflty pressed it against her shoulder, leaving a bloody hand print similar to the ones he had all over his body. His acidic blood, burning slightly into her clothing.

"Hehe, sadly. This is how Death Jesters show affection." He wiped his hand off, smiling happily. "I know, it's kinda grim. None of the marks i have on me, are from anyone in my heart, just of all that i've killed. Or...i guess now, i have a lot of Paranoia on me too." He laughed half-heartidly and put the dagger away.
