His grin was replaced with another soft smile. "À votre santé, ma dame," he said to her. "And to, hopefully, many more days such as yesterday!" He put his glass forward to make the "clink" sound he secretly found extremely amusing.

Nastara tilted her head curiously as he spoke to her in a different language, she thought it was French. She was torn between being puzzled at what he said, and quite flattered that he was speaking such a romantic sounding language to her. The only part she recognized was him calling her "my lady" again.
Her face shining with happiness Nastara gently tinked her glass to his before she took a delicate sip of her lemonade to seal the toast.
"That was sweet Asher! Was that French you spoke at first?"

"Nothing is too sweet for you. And it means 'to your health, my lady,'" he replied, nodding after he himself took a sip. He leaned back a bit, causing the swing to very gently sway, making it feel as if there was a light breeze. He peered into the pond. "What sort of fish are in there?" he asked curiously.

Nastara relaxed back into the gentle rocking motion of the swing. Not knowing how to respond to his first comment, and fearing to blush more she simply smiled and replied to his question. " Well, after much debate Jasper and Illeyana settled on Koi fish. Jasper wanted something with a pattern like his fur, and Illeyana wanted something shiny- so it was a good fit. They aren't very big yet, they take time to grow. But the kids take good care of them, they even gave Lunaria, Emerald, and I one to call our own. So there are a total of 5 fish in the pond, just like our little family"

Asher nodded thoughtfully. "Shiny is always good... What are their names?" he inquired, sipping at his lemonade.

She was surprised that he cared to know the names of the fish. It just went to show what a truly caring gentleman she'd found. "Hmmm, lets see...." Shifting forward a bit Nastara peered into the pond. " That pearlecent white one hiding under the waterfall is mine, named Sterling. The golden one swimming in the center is Illeyana's fish she calls Sunshine. The black one with the small white spots, Stardust, is Luna's. The multicolored red,gold,black one is Jasper's- he calls him Tribal. And the black and red spotted one is Em's Demon."

Asher smiled more as each name was called, all of them making sense to their respective owners... he quirked his eyebrow at Em's. "Demon? Explain, please?"

She shrugged. " That's easy! Emerald plays alot of tabletop role-playing games. In one of the campaign's she played in she was a elven thief. She wasn't the usual type of thief though....she was more of a.....seductive assasin. She always wore red and black when she worked a job. She became know as "The Demoness" in reference to a succubus. One thing about this character was that she had lightening fast reflexes, and that fish is the fastest of them all- but he's male. So he's "The Demon""

He chuckled. "Definitely not the response I expected..." He gazed across the pond, wondering what other curious things Nastara happens to know. He doubted Em had told that story to everyone; it was only recently that Jasper grew up... And he knew he wouldn't tell a kit something about a succubus or seductiveness. His thoughts drifted off.

Feeling content Nastara watched the fish swimming in the pond. It was quite pleasant to just be able to relax and chat about whatever came to their mind. It was nice to be close to Asher. She wanted him to know how she felt, so she gently placed one of her dainty paws over his larger one and smiled at him. She put everything she was feeling into her smile, letting her eyes shine.

Asher looked at her when she placed her paw on his; he couldn't help but to have his breath slightly taken away when he saw her smile, and he blushed deeply, begging with his eyes what he was afraid to ask. "Nastara, um, remember yesterday...when... when..." He really wanted to look at the ground to hide his blubbering, but he also didn't want to stop looking a her.

Nastara nodded slowly. She didn't even need to think about his words to understand what he was referring to. It had been on her mind this entire time. Her heart began to pound as her paws shook slightly, sloshing a bit of lemonade out of the glass.
She moved to set the lemonade down on the table, gently reaching out to take Asher's glass and place it out of harms way as well. As she leaned back and set the swing to rocking again she spoke." Of course I remember dear. My only stipulations were that it be later, and the kits not be around. Well, its later, and I see no kits....." Blushing more she again met his gaze, her eyes pleading for him to lean in and close the distance between the two of them.

Asher looked at her, his eyelids feeling like they couldn't blink or break their gaze into her eyes. He let her take the glass without protest, his nerves raising on edge from excitement and anxiety. Without fully thinking of exactly what he was doing, he leaned in to Nastara, turning his body closer to her. 'May I?" he whispered gently.

She shivered to hear his words as her heart truly began to race. She couldn't believe there was such a handsome gentleman asking permission to kiss her. He was so polite! He asked not once, but twice!
As she tried to think past thoughts of how his eyes sparkled butterfly's took to wing in her stomach. Deciding that she wasn't going to be able to say anything sweet or clever in return, she simply nodded slowly and replied with what her heart felt, "please"

Asher blushed a little as he leaned in further to close the distance, pausing when their lips were close enough that if one moved slightly, their lips would brush. He wanted to make sure he wasn't going to be too forward... And he was becoming quite shy.
