I agree that it makes a lot more sense to stay in the same house. Both for grad activity reasons and to prevent house list confusion.
[And Oshenukhar, the decision about not re-sorting was originally made by the mods. I didn't just make my own decision or something like that.]
Juni: I like your idea about the Hufflepuff RA name.

Lyra I understand it was a mod choice I just thought it would impede rp chances but its ok. I can see the reasoning behind the auto-sorting now.

The only thing I can think of off the top of my head right now is the RA names.
Gryffindor: Godric's Hollow / ??
Ravenclaw: Raven's Glen / ??
Hufflepuff: Brock's Valley / Broad Valley / ??
Slytherin: Snake's Hole/Cave / ??
I'm thinking it would be a good idea for someone from each house to post in their common room the name(s) that are being considered for that house's RA. Then come a decision over the next couple days (whether it be the original idea or a new one) and post it here. Thoughts?
Can anyone else think of something we missed? I'll continue making a summary of what's been decided so far, and then see where we're at. I'll let you know if I think of anything. biggrin
As for the Ravenclaw RA name, I like how Raven's Glen has part of the house name in it, but the only issue I have is that the house symbol is an Eagle, not a Raven.

Grads are not suppose to go back into the common rooms (not yet at least until the beginning of what we talked about) so I'll ask Icee if I can This time, if she says no then I'll ask Kitty. (That is if the curse still holds, lol)

I talked to Icee and she said it was okay for me to post in the Gryffinor common room. But Andrew bet me to it althought he didnt quite explain everything so anyone that hasent been to this thread doesnt know what he was talking about. So I posted and tried to explain a little. It may take a while since we are on a break but it's there. Hopefully we'll get some responses. biggrin

Should I just make a post in the SMB asking people to come post their opinions here about their house's residential area name? (If someone hasn't done so already.)
Also, are graduates going to be allowed to post in their common rooms? I think we talked about this briefly in the recruitment thread in the main Gaia forums, but I'm not sure a decision was reached.
I'm thinking that maybe they should at least be allowed to for the next couple terms, until the Graduates Subforum is up and rolling along nicely, and then reconsider the topic. If activity in the grads subforum and/or the common rooms is still low, then continue to allow grads to post in the common rooms.

And I do think that the common rooms would be a better idea. That way future Grads can have some say in the name (but the Grads should have the final say with the Mods). Also I think we should post in the SMB saying to checkout the common rooms and talk about idea's and then we can take the ideas and bring them hear and talk them over or take a poll.
As for Grads being allowed into the common rooms we aren't suppose to unless it is the Beginning of a new term (at least that is how I understand it, am I wrong?) I also was thinking of what the Grad could do in the meantime of getting the forum up and running, and I agree with Lyra (in fact that is what I was going to say , lol). But I do think there should be a number of days settled on for the Grads to be in the common rooms at the beginning of the term. So we dont over stay our welcome. We aren't student after all anymore.
Wow, that didn't sound so confusing in my head. Does this even make sense, lol. I'll edit later if it doesn't.

Who do you guys have in mind to make the Residential Areas?? The first grad of each house or something else? If it's the first grad of the House let me know so we can go ahead and make those contacts!

I think that a graduate should each RA.
-Juni said she would make the Hufflepuff RA (and also make the St. Mungo's thread, though she'd rather someone else run it).
-I was thinking Alutian for Ravenclaw, since she's a mod and grad.
-Avatar(Tina), Kitty, or MLT for Gryffindor. (I don't know whether Kitty will be graduating this term or not, and I'm not sure whether MLT is already a grad.)
-And Rayne for Slytherin, as she's both a mod and a grad.
