OOC: No, Firi is the Beast of Fury, so only rage and anger are the feelings she can draw off of...At the current point in time, there are only the original four beasts of misery Cirez(Pain), Arelis (Confusion), Firi (Fury) and Siobe (Sorrow)...oh and Misopan (Hate) and Dyonisu (Loneliness)are around (which reminds me I'm gonna bug Misopan to post though it's kinda pointless i suppose...he's only interacting wih NPC's)...and the Beasts have to be present to have any effect. So, as long as your CHar doesn't get really mad or burn something, Firi can't do anything metaphysical to her, though she could still mess with her head or kill/maul her, but i don't think firi will...yet anyway.

OOC: stare Oh, you make it sound like drugs and debauchery run rampant on Matri, you know very well that kind of thing is usually limited to Parte` As for Aurum and Drakonis' mother... well... like Drakonis himself said, twas a cold and lonely night for two travelers. People don't like to travel alone on Matri, predators will stay away from large groups, but will attack people on their own. Drakonis' mom had just been out harvesting herbs, and it had gotten dark, she was lost and it started to pour down rain and there was a thunderstorm. Aurum let her stay at his camp, they shared his tent for the night and they just got a little too friendly... he took her back to the town the next morning and the two parted amicably. Neither of them ever expected to see one another again. *shrug* Bounty hunters can be like that, they spend their whole lives on the move, living from one pay-off to the next, knowing they might die on any given day. They keep the rest of the population safe though. That's why Matri's bounty hunters get a lot more respect than one is accustomed to hearing about.

OOC: We need Ermak to post... stare WHo was feeling sick the last i heard, and that was three weeks or so ago...I've called twice, and sent an email as well as countless pms and still no word. Myself and our Mutual friend Eric are extremely worried....Actually, to the abyss with it, I'm posting, and it shall be evil(no better way to blow off steam than to put your PC's into mortal danger).
Drakian appeared to be calming hismelf breaths deepening and losing some of the shakiness to his movements. Slowly he began to unclench his fists, revealing his nails had bit deep into his palms. He worked his jaw slightly to ease the stiffness in it from biting down so hard. With a deep sigh he seemd to relax, his wings dropping slackly tail slowly waving. He opened his green eyes, though clearly anguished, it seemed his madness had passed.
Aw what a let down. stare Firi sighed. She realized that she'd just spent the most time with mortals than she had in decades and with a sniff, turned and began walking into the thick underbrush. She hadn't gone far when she whipped to attention and snarled, flushing out the enormous predator that had been waiting for the right moment to ambush the party. Faced with the immortal beast the Gadmir charged forward away from her and right into the middle of the party.
I caught the wrong one. Was the only rational thought Andrea had time for as a gout of the venomous acid seared Andrea's shoulder. She screamed an obscenity that many would not have expected her to know as she fell back cursing steadily. She gripped her shoulder and tore off a peice of her tattered cloak tying a hasty tourniquet(sp?), but knowing it would do no good. With her ood arm she drew one of her nodachis and prepared to fight. A silver wing threw her out of the way, the sharp scales graxzing hr flesh as she saw drakian charge the Gadmir. At first she wondered why he'd been so rough towards her but she realized before the thought fully formed. He'd just changed into a fully-fledged Dragonrage. "Oh s**t." Andrea swore "Get out of here everyone!" She yelled stumbling to her feet, dimly realizing the venom was beginning to haze her mind.
OOC: Since Drakian's in a Dragonrage, he will attack anything and everyone until all animal life he senses nearby is dead. Until he passes out from exhaustion he will recgonize no one and kill anything he comes in contact with. Right now he's fixated on the Gadmir, but though it's a huge one and it will take him a while, he's still going to kill it rather quickly. By the way, the Gadmir is what triggered him into the Dragonrage. If Vek(aka Eric the Dark) hadn't angered him so much, Drakian would have been able to hold himself back long enough for the others to get away, but he was already at the ends of his restraint when it showed up. Oh and Andrea will die shortly from the venom if she doesn't get immediate help. Heh, I'm sadistic. Firi will be worse, she's just found a way to releive her boredom for awhile.

Eric froze suddenly as he watched the emotions play over Drakian's face, belatedly it occured to him that baiting the dragon-man while he himself was human might not be such a wise Idea. His pride refused to let him step backward as his instincts clamored so he simply straightened stiffly and faced down his furious kin. After a few moments Drakian seemed to have gotten ahold of himself, but just as Eric began to relax something caught his draconic-brother's eye. Eric barely threw himself out of the way before Drakian berserkedly charged past. As he hit the ground the mercenary caught a faint whiff of a scent which neither he nor his elder brother would ever forget. Acid-burned flesh. Whirling to his feet Eric took lightning fast stock of the battle, three things registered immediately, Andrea was hit, Violet was in shock, and Drakian was in a Dragon Rage... "YIK!!" He spouted, and without any hesitation he grabbed the dainty golden necklace he ussually kept hidden under his armor, tearing the jewelry off his head so fast the enchanted links threatened to break. In a bone-wrenching blast of magic his shape-shifting reversed. Crimson and Gold wings shot from his back, and his spine stretched painfully fast, granting him half-again his previous height. His hair changed to a crimson hue and flowed down his back until it reached the backs of his knees. His clothing and armor unfortunettly did not change with him, as was evident by the scrunched expression on his face.
Before he had even finished changing he moved, first he dashed to Andrea's side. Grasping her wounded arm, in one swift motion he placed his palm against her shoulder and the white light of pure energy gleamed from between his fingers as he severed the limb. The searing heat effectively sealed the wound at the same moment so she did not bleed. He wrapped her now-stub of an arm with the cloth she had innefectually been using as a tournequit, then he held her tightly as she sank limply. Craddling her in one impressively strong arm he turned to Violet. Again his hindsight told him that she might be more than a little stunned at his sudden change in appearance. And he winced as he realized he'd bungled that too. But lacking the time to point out the discrepancies of his actions he apeared beside her in a blink, and sweeping her and the small purple dragon up in one motion he bolted through the forest.
It might have been faster to fly, but Eric,...who was now in the form more often recognised as "Prince Erevek Knightmage" knew his elder brother perfectly capable of flight. He also knew that it would only be a matter of time before Drakian attempted to pursue them, his blinded mind would have registered at least Vek himself as one who was powerful and had incured his wrath. Vek just hoped he could put enough distance between them that Drakian's strength would wear out before the Dragon-man caught up.

Violet stared blankly, wincing as she was swept up off her feet, glancing at Andrea. She'd lost her vacant personality, but not her inner edge, nor her instincts. She was well aware of what was happening, even if her physical being refused to allow her to act upon her thoughts.

Torvelion Lucian stared at Illusor with concern... then he made a small strangled noise as his face started to turn red with suppresed laughter. He cracked a smile and started sniggering. then he burst out laughing, making innefective attempts at breathing. Will was holding his sides with laughter, "So..your trying to tell me that your hiding from a bunch of FAN GIRLS? oh this IS classic...(more laughter)...oh man, that was funny, thanks for the...(MORE laughter)...warning!" Illusor glanced at Lucien, apparently unsurprised by the youth's mirth, but even as he gazed at the young man his own mouth twisted into a smile, though the curves of his lips would normal denote humor, those well aquainted with him would have recognized the subtle glitter of mischief in his silver-blue eyes. A rarity which most of his freinds avoided for good reason. "Yes you are quite correct sir Lucien, I hide quite fanatically from my overly large group of 'fan girls' as you call them." He sighed with long-suffering, "Perhaps if I did not have so many who sought my attentions this sort of refuge would not be necessary." Then he seemed to glance Lucien over with a calculating look, "You seem to be a decently handsome model of masculinity. Perhaps you could distract that particular gathering. " Again he paused thoughtfully, "I am entirely certain I could arrange an introduction for you." The expression on his face was a particularly odd one, though it did not reveal his intentions behind his offer.

Auron and Raziel had remained distant and watchful throughout the entire exchange, though for completely different reasons. Neither of them were the type to jump into a situation before they knew all the details. However the new gadmir made things different. Auron wanted to help out however he could, though at the moment it seemed perhaps more prudent to stay with the 'group'. He turned to face Raziel, "You can take them if you like, catch up with us later though." With that he turned and dashed off after Erevek, he was used to following people like him, though he doubted he would ever catch up if he kept the same pace long. Raziel snorted at Auron's comment, then summoned his wraith blade and began circling slowly. The gadmir would not be much difficulty by itself, but it was Drakian he was wary of. Somehow he felt that the boy might prove to be an adversary, and the others likely wouldn't like it if he killed him. He sighed, sometimes sentiment took all the fun out of things.

OOC: Eek...i dunno how to post...stupid writers blockyness....
THe gadmir died quickly with a stroke of Drakian's blunt massive sword, hacking into and breaking the neck with one powerful swing, but the enraged part dragon continued to brutalize the body and as such, it was in many pieces before the body could hit the ground. Drakian turned next to Raziel, his Feral eyes strange. While before he had been soft spoken, friendly and inwardly melancoly, he was now without any clear emotion except the rage, yet he still retained a sharp intelligence, unfortunatly this intelligence would not work to anyone's advantage.
OOC: Betcha didn't know (except ermak to whome i've mentioned this before if in passing) Drakian actually has a very high IQ, the reason it's hardly recognized is because he is a destructive drinker, however unlike alcohol as we know it, thistle weed beverages have no lasting effect on the drinker.
Andrea was in shock, she realized that, but it still it didn't change her lack of understanding as she watched the seeming slow motion of reality unfolding around her. At least, that was her initial experience. She snapped into a semblence of consciousness when she realized that Eravek had just removed her arm. Immediatly she became hysterically irate, shoving away from him uneffectually. "Why did you do that! I need my arm!" She screams indignantly, though she's clearly not entirely in her right mind at present. WHen she realizes her efforts to get free, while troublesome, are not going to work, she draws back her good arm and punches the chimera saiyan in the jaw, still screaming and much less coherently. Meanwhile with her increased activity was quickening the spread of the poison in her body.
"Oh what fun this has become!" Firalina chuckles from where she is quietly lounging in a tree, watching the whole of the events and luxuriating in the anger radiating from the crowd below. She rolls over on the branch and twists, rubbing her back against the rough branch below her. She purred to herself slightly.

Violet eyed Andrea wearily. She would have loved to shut her up, but she didn't have it in her. Instead, she pulled out a long piece of white cloth and attempted to bandage her arm over the knot Adrea'd previously made, more in a futile attempt to stop the poison spreading than from the wound bleeding. However, the movement which came from both the injured and the saviour made it difficult for her to keep balance...

((Actually I was assuming that the removal of her afflicted arm from her body would effectively halt the poison's spread but you are more familiar with Gadmirs than I so if you say it spreads that fast then so-be-it.
As for the carrying, I was picturing that he would have wrapped one arm around each much like you would carry an elaborate doll used for Ventriloquism. he also wrapped his wings around to add stability. Seeing as he added half-again his height when he transformed he should be near 8-9ft tall, and those long saiyan-strong arms would make such a feat possible.))
Struggling to maintain his hold on the two mobile females, Eric / Erevek managed to snap back at Andrea's outrageous acusation, "You need your life too! You..." He never finished the sentence as Andrea's fist collided with his jaw. Unprepared for this insane seeming turn of events the partially-saiyan girls blow rocked his head back on his neck, sending his already flying feet stumbling over themselves with the sudden loss of balance. Even though stars flashed before his eyes and a distinctive ringing was all he could hear he remembered last minute to place himself under the females before they hit the ground. with an uncomfortable thud, the back of his head landed first, adding to the fireworks display in his mind. It was several moments before his vision cleared enough for him to make out the forms of Violet and Andrea.
((Just so you don't comment on Andrea's somewhat insubstancial strenght, bear in mind that Vek hasn't powered up at all yet so he still has a power level no higher than a few hundred.))

Auron caught up to Vek a shortly after he stumbled, thanks to the high level haste spell he'd cast on himself on the run. He took a brief instant to take stock of the situation and gauge weather Andrea was in need of aid. She didn't exactly look in the best of straights so he figured anything he could do could only help. He stepped forwards even as he summoned sphere energy and formed the words 'Curaga' under his breath. With a strong glow of soft light the healing energy entered her body restoring her health and sealing her wounds. Then without looking for a reaction he murmered "Esuna" to remove any traces of the poison within her, continuing to channel the energy into her body. Afterwards he sat down sighing as the efforts of using his magic had been even more of a strain here than he would have expected back in Spira. He would have to keep that in mind in the future.
Raziel smiled at Drakian baring his vampiric fangs. "You seem to be a little out of sorts young man, perhaps I could help you cool down?" He began to circle slowly, a good fight was just the thing he needed, even if he didn't have much of an idea of his opponent's capabilities. He was not so arogant to believe his powers capable of handling anything, but until he learned the man could best him he would simply fight cautiously.

OOC: I just like being able to reply with all or most of my characters at once...besides, I couldn't think what more I could do with Andrea or Firi.
The moment Raziel stepped within range of Drakian's long blunt thick blade, the maddened silverhaired warrior struck. He was faster than should have been possible, especially for a man of his thickly muscled build, but his strike was nonetheless far surpassing any human capabilities.
OOC: Drakian, like Vek, was meddled with by the Goddess(only to a much lesser extent than his younger brother), Drakian has a very high concentration of Lightningbird blood in him, he is very very fast, not as fast as Vek can be but still...
Andrea didn't seem to realize that the healing spell brought back her severed arm until the esuna cleared the poison from her system. However, in that short space of time, she used her new limb to again hit Vek. She looked at her fists in slight confusion, her mind taking amoment to adjust to the fact her arm had indeed grown back. She touched it a few times just to be sure, continuing to blink and stare in shock.
Firalina quietly observed the second party. The fight between the vampire and the Knightmage boy did not much concern her, as she expected the enraged warrior would gain the upper hand. However the varied screams, yells and curses from the others sounded rather intriguing. Unnoticed in the general bustling activity, she waited in the thick undergrowth just off the path they traveled.
OOC:'Fraid this isn't quite up to par with some of my abilities, but, like usual, i feel sleepy.
