It was heavy and hit Serenus' side every time she walked. Though she didn't trust anyone who took it. Radiaas would get blood thirsty if he even held it again. And Neer...she didn't trust yet.

They trudged back out into the overworld, then into Arogani's court. He stopped outside the throne room. "Maybe we should deliver it straight into the vault," Radiaas said.

"Yes, he would..." Radiaas said, he wasn't sure he wanted the star in Arogani's hands, or in those of any of the other agents.

"It'd be best to present it to him, I'll do that," Radiaas said hesitantly. He took the Star into the throne room. "My lord, I present you Armal's Midnight Star," Radiaas said as he knelt and gave Arogani the flail, Arogani gave it to one of his Agents wordlessly.

Neer watched the man give the Star to his lord wordlessly, standing near the back of the room, in the shadows. He stood, and walked back out of the room. Neer followed silently into the entry room.

They walked back out of the Throne Room. Radiaas turned to the two and said, "Do what you want, return here at nightfall, I need to find the location of the next piece."

"Don't you have a cat-boy waiting for your return?" Radiaas said as he started towards his quarters, where he had all of the books on Armal he could find.

She stopped in her tracks and she smiled. "I'll be back in about an hour!" Rushing off her hair flowed behind her. The trading district was dead and not many people were out. Walking up to her shop and home she softly said, "Amalis, are you there?" There was a murmor and then something jumped out and pounced on her."Serenus! I missed you!" She smiled and patted and stroked his head as he nuzzled her neck. "Come on we're closing up shop and I am here to change you back and take you with me." "Why" He asked as her walked to the back room. "It is time I guess we've been doing this for so long." Amalis sat on the ground and waited for her. She came out with a potion to change him back. He drank it and started to twitch and moan as he formed back into the cute blue cat. They walked outside together as she waved her hand and all the shops and windows lovked up. "Let's go." Amalis purred as they walked back to the castle.

There were two vampire guards at the gate to the palace, one of them stopped Serenus, "No animals in the manor, lords orders," he said. "Well, no animals 'cept bloodsacks," his partners said, then they both guffawed.

Neer stood very still in the empty room. Looking around her, she noticed that everybody was gone, and it was silent. She realized that she had no particular place to sleep. She slowly made her way to one of the corners in the large room, away from any windows or openings, and set up her hammock. Sliding into it, she curled into a tight ball. Gripping her sias, the petite woman drifted into a light slumber.
