Raster was, unfortunately, (strong as he is) unable to endure such a scream (depending on what the maximum setting is, of course-assuming it is strong enough). Raster had to whip his hands to his ears and flinch in pain.

The second Raster let go of Kuromi, she jumped up into the air, did a back flip, and landed on another building. Her sudden high pitch scream would've either burst their ear drums or at least cause a ringing in their ears and possible imbalance. She started singing her song again, hoping to be able to corrupt them this time.
(( Hey, has Fatal made Ami into an assist trophy yet? ))

Only he and Harujiro, who was closest to him, were protected.

Kuromi continued singing, her song already starting to corrupt those who heard her. If they continued to listen to her for a few moments, they will be corrupted like her.

Raster was stunned and temporarily (extremely temporarily) paralyzed by the screech, and could not resist the tune effectively....
However, someone else could. From the hidden necromancer flew five spheres of intense energy, too quick to be fire, and yet too solid to be electricity.
It was plasma.
Each sphere of burning, shocking, destructive plasma descended in a fixed direction, emitting a powerful explosion on contact with... anything, really.
Four landed in the area between Harujiro, Fuyusuke, Chikao, and Gaudin. The explosion was utterly massive.
The fifth collided with Raster directly. Once again, the explosion was powerfully large.
Kuromi was ignored by the magic entirely.

Kuromi stopped singing when the sudden explosions drowned out her music and interrupted her.

((Ha, ha! She wasn't supposed to stop singing! XD United effort and all that.
Fatal was hoping she would take use of the advantage he gave her in surprising the two who were guarded. Then, if any trophyfied, he would take one or two, and leave her to have her corrupted minions.

Not having the time to provide a counter, Fuyusuke was incapable of protecting the others, but even so, he probably wouldn't be able to anyways.

Fatal held up his hand, and in it appeared an Assist Trophy; summoned, it was Rythe's. The youth clad in blue armor raised a sword up and yelled, and then electricity covered the entire ground, shocking all who were standing on it. As this was an Assist Maneuver, it was a concentrated and powerful blast, but then was gone as soon as it came.
In the aftermath, at least two were trophies.
Fatal turned, suddenly disappeared from his place on the roof of a building, and appeared directly next to Gaudin and Chikao, who were both trophies.

(( Oh.... xd Well, would you keep singing if a sudden explosion happened? xd ))
Kuromi jumped down to where the others were and picked up her rocket launcher, which Gaudin had dropped when trophyfied. She jumped over to another building and resumed her singing.
(( Yes! I got my rocket launcher back! ^_^ ))
