He laughs softly and he nods slowly. It kinda made him feel bad. He wanted her to paint him, it made him honored that she wanted to paint him. But, in the meantime, he doesn't pursue this moment any further. It was fun to tease her, but he didn't want her to get all her materials ready for nothing. And besides, if she painted a sexy picture or something, it would end up being a picture that she coudln't share with anyone. What's the point of art that isn't shared? "Alright, alright. I'll be good."

Serenity giggled, breathing once again.
"Now if you're good like you promise," she winked at him, "you just might get a treat later on."
She kept an amused eye on him as she prepared her paints again, then pulled out a brush. She had plans for this picture ... and the pose he had given her to work with.
"I'll try be quick," she promised, dipping her brush into the first colour.

He gave the barest of nods when she said she was getting started. He knew in order for this to work right, he had to hold this pose. If he shifted around too much, he'd screw up the angles and the picture woudln't look as good as it was intended. So that meant he had to do this best not to talk either, though to help fend off the onset of boredom from sitting still for an amount of time he started to hum a tune to himself.

Serenity painted as quickly as she could without rushing, using a broader-stroked style rather than small strokes. Of course, she was just doing a basic painting now - she would fill in details later, when she didn't need Gaunt to pose for her.
"I hope you're wearing sunblock," she murmured absently, feeling the warmth of the sun on her back. "It's quite sunny out today ..."

He chuckles lightly and he murmmurs in return. "Of course. I anticipated possibly being out here until the sun goes down, so I made sure both me and Prince were wearing some." His eyes sought out things to look at without turning his head. The clouds were scarce - it was a sunny day, after all. Every now and then, a dragonfly would flit by, or a swallow would dart to and fro catching bugs, but other than that, it wasn't a very interesting scene to look at.

Serenity giggled softly. "Good. Though if you did burn, we might make a matching pair, when you tease me."
She knew she was a blusher, and though she was easily embarrassed, it didn't embarrass her that she blushed so much. Besides, it was fun ... especially when it was Gaunt who was teasing her.

He laughs softly and he shrugs slightly, again doing his best not to ruin the pose for her. "Well, in that cause I would have to keep you blushing until my sunburn went away." His lips turned into what almost could be called an evil smirk as his eyes darted in her direction. "Are you sure you could handle that, Serenity?"

Serenity laughed louder. "I'm sure that eventually I would get used to it," she giggled, "and stop blushing altogether, in which case you would have to be a lobster all your own - and I have to warn you, I'm not as fond of seafood as the rest of my family is."
Sushi, sure - lobster, crab, crayfish? No way.

Gaunt laughed along with her and he smirked lightly. "Well, that's just no fun Serenity. What's the fun in teasing you if you stopped reacting to it?" He chuckles lightly and almost shifted before he caught himself and made him remain in his pose. "Mmn. I don't want to be a lonely lobster. Because then someone can come around and eat me up, and I don't wanna be eaten." Random comment. But it was what came to his mind, and he can do that when he was too into a conversation to keep an eye on what he was saying.

"Oh, but there's every possibility that someone might think you taste good," Serenity teased, also without thinking about it. "And really, it might be fun to take care of you ... that is, as long as you don't whine and complain like children do."
But she was even teasing about that - because she knew of course that if he was the complaining type, she would enjoy herself seeing to his every need and working hard to make sure he had nothing to complain about.

He laughs softly again and he shakes his head, his eyes getting something of a dreamy glaze on them. "Taking care of me might be fun, huh?" He laughs softly and his cheeks turn a slight shade of pink as his mind wanders. "You know, that sounds like what a newlywed wife says to her husband, that she will faithfully see to his every need. It's kind of romantic."

Serenity blushed again and bit her lip to stop herself from saying anything more. She hadn't meant to say that ... not that she hadn't meant what she said, but still ...
"What can I say?" she murmured finally, focusing on the painting so that she wouldn't have to face him directly. "I like taking care of the people that I care about."

He smiles, though his dreamy expression lingers on for a few more moments. "I'm honored that I'm in the ranks of people that you care for, Serenity. I hope I don't have to lean on you too much, but just knowing you're there to take care of me if something happens comforts me deep down inside."

Serenity smiled warmly, her blush growing hotter. "I'm glad I can bring you that comfort," she murmured happily. "Just don't ever try to hide if you need help, that's all I ask."
She might not necessarily be able to help him, but she could at least try her best.
"Almost done the first part," she murmured, concentrating once more on the painting. "Then it's just the details ..."

He smiles softly and he slowly takes a breath. "I just hope I can return some of that feeling. That I make you happy, and comfort you on some.. profound level." He chuckles softly and he fought the temptation to shift enough so he could work his shoulders. "Mm. Alright. I guess I'll see the finished product when we next meet, then? Or do you think you could finish it all here?"
