It connected.
The ref headed towards Xw and the force of the kick caused Xw to accidently hit the ref with the chair to knock him out.

Xw dodged it, still holding the chair, and threw the chair at Draze, going for the vandominator.

Xw quickly got back up, grabbed the chair, and looked at Draze.
The ref was starting to get back up.
Xw smacked the mat with the chair before giving it to Draze and laying on the mat as if he were smacked.

The Demolisher Xw quickly got back up, grabbed the chair, and looked at Draze. The ref was starting to get back up. Xw smacked the mat with the chair before giving it to Draze and laying on the mat as if he were smacked. *Draze catches the chair, and tosses it out imediately, just as the ref got up. The ref then turns as Draze goes for a base ball slide dropkick to XW's head.*

Xw rolled away just in time to dodge it.
He rolled to a standing position and, once Draze was back up, went for a standing dropkick.

Xw was starting to stand up while they did this. He stood, knees shaking, and looked around.
The crowd cheered.
Xw did Benoit's signal for the headbutt and the crowd expladed.
He got to the top rope and knew Draze was getting up so he waited for draze to stand up.

He ran up to XW, and went to push out his leg, to make him Strattle the top turnbuckle.*
