EglėThe Queen of SerpentsEglė blinked at the hatter's reaction. She hadn't expected anyone to notice. Well, now that it had been brought up there was nothing much she could do about it. She must talk about it now.
"I was just thinking of my late husband you see, he was brutally murdered recently." she said, wiping an invisible tear from her eye. And by recently she meant many years ago. Once she was turned into a Naga Eglė stopped aging.
Her depression turned to rage in an instant and she coiled tighter around the chair.
"My own family is to blame! They were the ones that killed him!"

Follow the breadcrumbs...“Oh! You’re awake!” a soft, but excited, voice started, finishing in a whisper, “and before Hansel got home, thank the Lord…”
Gretel set aside the dinner she had been eating and stood.
“M-my name is Gretel. You fell and hurt your head, and I bandaged it for you. You in my house… A-are you hungry?” came the timid voice again. She was eager to help him, but also eager to help him and get him on his way before Hansel got home. ...If you dare

In the style of......Todd just nodded at Egle's words. He was unaffected by her sadness nor her anger. He merely sipped his tea, and eyed Hare from the corner of his eyes. He knew Hare wouldn't be effected either. As if by an after thought he patted her hand in sympathey and spoke, "poor dear, the tea will calm you." those were his external words, inside it was a whole other conversation between Todd and the Mad Hatter. no fun, no fun this one.... Only two limbs! What fun is two limbs? oh yes, we could tear them off.. Wooo.... Not. What would be the point in that?! it's the legs... Smooth, creamy white legs. Its the pleasure between those legs.... Mad Hatter drifted off in thought about the last girl he had succeded with. Todd grew spitefull with his arogance and mumbled, "You didn't do all the work by yourself.... i helped! I did...." Todd nearly growled. He was unhappy and need some relief. He picked up his tea and gulped it down. instead of waiting for his glass to be refilled, he picked up the whole pot and started drinking the steaming fluid straight from there. Todd looked like a mess. He was pacing back and forth, drinking from the pot every three seconds. When Todd finally stopped, he set the empty Kettle back on the table and sat back down at his seat. "Why has he returned?" He asked Egle with such emotion. He looked like a young boy about to break into tears. "Why hasn't she come back to me?" .....Ten Sixths

Minai chan Bare tiptoes creep to where Red lay sleeping, and Molly settles down behind her, securing herself just in case the girl wakes with a start. The had holding the herbs shifts down just below Red's nose, and she crushes them in her fist to release the scent she knows will awaken her companion. Unconsciously, Molly begins to hum softly. It was an old lullaby she used to sing to calm her sisters down. She wasn't sure where she picked it up from, certainly not her parents. Maybe it would help Red as well..
Red awoke from her dreamless sleep as if waking up from a faint. Her eyes flew open quickly, and she drew in a light breath and held it. Horror spread throughout her body once she realized what she had done. She could hear The Voice cackling; she had fallen asleep. No dreams; she had been lucky. But next time her luck could be vacant. She felt cold, helpless, unable to stop what she dreaded.
But a voice brought her back to the surface once more. It was familiar, though the song - for it was a song - was unknown to Red. Yet it resonated with a comfort she had not felt for many years.
Finally she moved something other than her eyelids: she turned to face Molly.
"Why?" she asked simply. She was certain, from her memory, that Molly had put her to sleep. But why had she done such a cruel thing? Up until now, Molly had shown no signs of cruelty, treachery, or beastliness. Which was the only reason Red chose to ask rather than chop her head in half.
She's not so little anymore...

Mr. Eccentricity "Why?" she asked simply.
Molly watched as Red began to stir, noticing the tension rush through her body as she woke. She must be used to nasty nightmares or somethin.. Molly thought to herself. As Red turned to her, Molly could see the question in the girl's eyes before she even spoke it. Poor thing's terrified..Her features softened. She really felt for the girl. After all, something had to make her this way. What if she has to relive it every night? Still, Molly knew that the drugs she administered the night before would have prevented any dreams while Red had slept, and the fact that she wasn't spazing out at the moment meant it must have worked. Giving a soft sigh, Molly reaches out to Red and brushes a stray lock of hair from her face. "The dreams didn't come, did they?" she murmurs gently, her fingers lightly combing back the girl's hair. "Unfortunately, sleep eventually claims everyone. You can't really stop it. But I can be stoppin the dreams." Tilting her head faintly to the side, she gives her a reassuring smile. "Tell you what, I'll make you a deal. You let me put you to sleep each night, and I'll make sure there be no dreams to haunt you. Then you won't have to worry about sleep findin you on its own. We'll take turns. I'll stay up while you sleep and keep you safe. Then while I'm sleeping, you can be awake and watch over me."A rebellious lock of her curly red tresses escapes from behind her ear, falling to brush against her cheek. Molly growls faintly and attempts to blow the strands away with a quick breath. The locks leap away briefly, only to triumphantly swing back to tickle her nose. Molly can't help but giggle, a hand coming up to rub her offended snash. Her eyes dance with humour and life, her voice confident and tender as she looks down into Red's eyes again. "Nothins gonna harm you luvy," she assures her. "Not while I'm around."

Hare gazed curiously at the whole thing, not really caring, until Todd, precious Todd, became sad again. Hare rather dramatically leapt from his seat, and went to hug Todd. How he wished he would be happy again. "She'll come back, I'm sure of it!" He placed his head on Todds shoulder.

In the style of......Todd stiffened at first from Hare's embrace, but gradually melted into it. Todd grasped Hare's shoulders, hugging him back, and nodded. "I hope your right Hare, I hope your right.." It looked as if he might just burst into tears, though, tears were something hard to come by with Todd. Sure, he was having one of his fits, but he was not about to show that much emotion. The whole scene he had laid out, it was like a sick game. The words he spoke were true, yet the scene was just a ploy. An act. Entertainment. It was one of his favorite games. The homicidal maniac, pretending to just be psychotic. Schizophrenic, bi-polar, criminal minded. The list could on. He pretended to be them, and he also was one. His game seemed to make no sense. You can't pretend to be something you already are. But that is where every last person is wrong. Indeed you can pretend to be something you already are. It's as simple as pretending to be someone else who is supposed to act like you. You make your movements rough and slightly artificial. You make your personality and attitude like you have been practicing it. The whole thing is an art unto itself. When you took all the small pieces of what makes Todd Todd, and the Mad Hatter the Mad Hatter, you will see that together they are like an artist of many arts. Everything they do with a passion, everything they do for pleasure. .....Ten Sixths

Draw_Kill Draw_Kill After a small while, the group ended up on the road on the far side of the forest, making good time. Of the group though, Pinnochio was quite hesitant to enter unto the road._________________________________________________________ "I don't think anybody will be to happy to see a walking doll next to you, they might think you're a witch or something...." Pinnochio said in explanation.

Tinkerbell Tinkerbell stepped around the perimeter of the chandelier to the edge closest to the young human girl and her little creatures. Watching the girl she reminded her of another, the only human girl she had ever really known, and she began to shake with anger. Grasping one of the lightbulbs to remain balanced a small amount of pixie dust floated to the floor landing in the same pile that the cat was sweeping up. The heat of the lightbulb suddenly grew hot forcing Tinkerbell to pull her small hand away in pain. Losing her balance she wobbled, the chandelier slightly swinging. Unable to remain balanced she fell to the floor with a light thud, her wings slightly twitching, a little late to save her fall. (¯`•.(¯`•.(¯`•. ( A Drop of Jealousy ).•´¯).•´¯).•´¯)

Startled, the sweeping cat leaps back as something thumps into it's pile of dirt and fur. Dropping its broom, the cat crouches down on its hunches, ready to pounce. "Wait," the human girl calls out quietly. Bare feet quickly patter over to the pile, and she kneels down to examine it. Picking through the dust, she gently pulls the little faerie from the floor. The broom cat edges closer, still ready to pounce at need. The girl stands, nimble figures lightly brushing away the dirt the excess dirt around the wee fey. "Are you alright, little lovely?" the young woman asks, concerned.

Red flinched as Molly's hand came nearer, though she did nothing to remove it. She listened to what Molly said, and slowly, her features brightened, if only slightly. 'It wasn't luck...' she thought happily, glad to depend on something not as flimsy as luck. With her new smile, she nodded at Molly's offer. Her words resonated with comfort, and Red slowly moved from her sitting-up position to resting on her chest. She thought of how they had just been traveling companions. But now care was involve, and instead of shirking from it, Red actually could welcome the idea. How strange.
People before had said they could, or would, protect her. But Red could feel that she meant it. 'But why?' she wondered. Why would anyone want to protect a serial killer? 'And why do I not want to kill her? Why do I care?' Most never made an effort to get close, and some got too close, only to met with steel. But Red found the strange desire to find comfort in her presence. Never since The Wolf had she ever embraced a person's presence like this.
"What shall we do now?" she asked, awed by how the word "we" came so easily to her. It meant something else to Red now.
She's not so little anymore...
