Marche picked at his teeth.
"...You should probably save up money to get somethign flashier. Thankfully, you don't have sequins, like Lory's skirt."
[[Seeing Lory doesn't put him in a good mood.]]
"But they're so very shiny! ", she protested. "Shiny and sparkly and 'ooh'!"

Hatter made a pouty face and crossed his arms, still looking at Marche. "How cruel of you, why don't you like my suit?" He glanced at Lori, "And whats wrong with her attire?"

Marche crossed his arms.
"I like Fall colors. And..."
He pointed to Lory.
"Her clothes are bargain-bin quality. The quality of a person who uses newspaper to go to the bathroom, and magazines to clean their nose."
[[Since Marche's parents each own two big companies [rifle and tea/coffee], he'd obviously dislike low quality things.]]

Hatter frowned at Marche's words, "Now Marchemallow you can't really mean that." He tapped his temple, "I made this suit by hand and I don't use newpaper to go to the bathroom or magazines to clean their nose." His hands clasped over his nose and he made a face. "That must be very uncomfortable."

Marche growled.
"I meant HERS, not YOURS! And your clothes are only tacky to me due to their spring colors. Lorina's something out of a preschool kid's show!"

Hatter was at a loss for words; should he stand up for her? If he did then that might give off the vibe that he likes her. Which he doesn't....He puzzled over this confusion and sat hard on the seat nearest him. "Don't say that.."

Marche pouted.
"Why not? She's annoying, and has bad taste, in both clothign and men. Choosing a man scared of women over the desperate one..."
Lori sat in a chair; she had been sobbing form this abuse, as she wasn't used to it, and said nothing.

Lori's sobbing made Hatter angry, he may be scared of women but to insult them to their face was outright uncalled for. "Marche, that's enough. Insulting her is not going to make her change. If you're so upset about this are YOU jealous of me?" The last nade the Guard smile and he crossed his arms.

Marche's ears lay flat against his head as his eyes became beady. [[ohshi--]]
Trying to regain composure, he found the Dormouse's teapot, and, taking out the small mouse, jammed his elbow on top of it as he drank some tea casually.
"Well, it's not nice to have a blemish on a perfect record."
Lory tilted her headi n curiosity [not malice].
"Wait, but hasn't Her White Majesty not noticed you?"
Marche's eyes went bloodshot for a split-second, then returned ot normal.
"You're withing chokign range, Lory."

Hatter smiled at the Hare's unease. "I'm sorry Marche but insulting someone to thier face is just rude." He took a seat opposite the Hare and eyed him. [[casually]]

Marche scoffed.
"Since WHEN do we care about manners, Hat? You've been trying to illustrate to her that you aren't interested in her. Or, rather, you loathe her."
Lory's shoulders slackened, and she sobbed.
"I... I..."
She trailed off and continued to sob due to both the obvious and subliminal abuse the two were subjecting her to. She stood, and then speedwalked away quite sadly, not saying a word.
Marche smiled.
"There! Taken care of. Now we can be at peace."

Hatter's eyes followed Lori as she exited from their presence, "That was harsh Marche. I may hate her but I did't want to insult her." HE frowned at the Hare and poured himself tea.

Marche scoffed.
"She likes you too much. Better to hurt her with the truth then to--"
Marche stood.
"Orders from the Queen. For both of us..."
He began to run towards the castle, expecting Hatter to follow.

"Heart's guard! Come out with your hands high!" White heard a bolt being pulled back, the metallic sound rang in his ears.
A fear washed over him like a shower of acid.
He held the rifle upright. He put the butt of the gun on his shoulder. He turned out, staring into the soldier's brown eyes.
"You!" The soldier said, his eyes widening as he aimed the rifle.
White pulled the trigger. The shot rang out as a bullet was sent into the chest of the guard. The guard gave out a small scream as he fell, the rifle firing into the air as he fell.
The other two, now pulled their attention to White.
"It's that son of a b***h!" The one on the left raised his gun. The one on the right noticed and did the same.
White took cover behind the tree again. His gloved right hand pulled on the lever, ejecting the copper casing.

Alice had officially cried herself dry. She sat in the dark, her aching arms locked in place over her head by something cold and metallic, and her chest still shuddering from so much crying, but she barely noticed these discomforts. She was too busy trying not to think.

This was something that she rarely had any cause to do, so she was not particularly good at it; horrible images kept popping up in front of her eyes like some sort of horrid jack-in-the-box. She shuddered. She had always hated those, even as a small child, but even so, comparing the awful flashes of blood to a toy, no matter how loathsome it might be, just didn't do the memories justice. "Oh, dear," she said. Her voice sounded very small and lost, more like a child than a young woman.

Could Mr. Rabbit be alive? She honestly didn't know, but it didn't seem likely. There had been so much blood, and the way he'd just keeled over like a felled tree... "Well, there is no point in worrying until you are in a position to do something about it," she interrupted herself firmly, "You would be much better off getting out of these manacles." True. Having reasonably practical goal would distract her nicely, even if it did nothing else. She twisted her wrists against the metal encircling them, trying to find some specifics about their construction.

After five minutes of constant effort, all she had for her troubles what felt suspiciously like a sprained left wrist. She went limp again, watching despondently as a curtain of dark hair swished forward to brush her knees. What was the point of chaining her up, anyway? It wasn't as though she would be able to escape a dungeon; she was a young lady who liked tea and adventurous books, not a cat burglar.

Then again, this was the Queen of Hearts. There probably wasn't any point, just like there wasn't any point in having your own herald shot. "Oh, dear," she whispered again.
