Garret observed Madeline's worried expression and smirked. He then approached the chair she sat in and sat right on her lap horizontally, putting his arms around her. "I'm perfectly fine, honestly I'm more worried about how you feel then anything." he said with a small grin on his face and a lightness to his voice. He attempted to make eye contact as he spoke. He was glad that he did not weigh very much, because this meant he wouldn't have to worry about crushing the girl.

Madeline was relieved to see that he smirked. Her guest was not discouraged by the changes made to his body by the vampirism. Assuming as he walked that he was heading to one of the chairs around her, she was surprised... and alarmed when the man was only a few feet away and she saw that Garret was walking directly at her. Frozen as he sat down on top of her, she only got more alarmed as she listened to his words and as his arms wrapped around her. Looking down to ensure that all of his attempts to make eye contact were foiled, she focused on a specific part of her new purple dress, looking at the intricate patterns that had been sewn there. "Er..." Madeline muttered to herself, unsure of what to do. No one had ever approached her in any way similar to this... except for her human fiance, centuries ago.

Garret got up quickly, very embarrassed. "I'm sorry Ms. Madeline, I don't know what overcame me, please forgive me." He pleaded moving about a yard away, still attempting eye contact. His expression showed exactly how he felt, and he was more surprised than Madeline was. It seemed as if his body had taken over and did that, but he knew all to well it was him. He thought of why he would do this, and realized it was because he did not know how to react to his changes.

Madeline sighed as he stood up, her face full with 'vampire blush', instead of darkening as humans did, her skin had become more translucent. The thin blue veins under cheeks, that for so many years had been completely useless were now slightly visible. Right then, when Garret muttered his apologies, she nodded and sighed. Not ready to speak yet, she just sat there, trying to relax. Watching him move a few feet away, she stared again at the floor and tried to think of what to do next. The air in the room was now thick with awkwardness.
A few minutes later, she looked up to find him still standing there, and she attempted a smile. It came out as more of an twisted frown. Playing with her fingers, she looked across the room, past Garret, into the fire. With the air still layered with that weird feeling, she finally spoke, a formal tone slipping into her voice, and her face going blank as she looked at the man. "It's no problem, Garret. Please sit down." Still with the blank mask over her face, she gestured towards the other two chairs. One on either side of her, and left him to decide which one he wanted.

Garret walked over and sat into the chair on Madeline's right. He found the seat awkward, he hadn't sat in a chair for a long time, and had grown use to the branches as seats. Garret looked at Madeline and half-smiled, it didn't last long. He was trying to find something to talk about, but he still felt very uncomfortable. Then a thought struck him, "So, do you know why we can see ourselves in the mirror? I didn't think vampires had reflections." His voice was somewhat hopeful that this would get the awkwardness of the room to leave.

Madeline watched out of the corner of her eye, and despite herself, she chuckled at his question. "The only way we would ever not be seen in a mirror is if we were actually invisible. Mirrors and eyes rely on reflected light coming off of the object, so if an eye can see us, than a mirror can definitely reflect us. That was just invented as a way for governments to get rid of people that are a threat to them." Still smiling slightly, she sighed. She too hoped that a conversation would let them get past, if not forget what had just happened, she did want to be friends with this Garret person. Then a hissing noise familiar to Madeline sounded as a green head popped up over her left arm. Crawling up her arm and over her shoulders, a full smile came to her face as she saw that the lump from earlier in the day had gone from the beginning of the animal's long body to near the middle. Soon the mouse would be digested. The snake settled with its body hanging down from Madeline's neck, quite content to allow the top of its head to be petted slowly.

"Governments?" The word was unfamiliar to and the question slipped out of thought and onto his tongue. "I've never heard the word before." Garret admitted somewhat embarrassed. His town was distant from any governments rule, and perhaps even before the governments had claimed the land. The term 'government' was never used in the town, and using it would be completely pointless, the city had two guards, and that was about as close to military as they had.

Luxor picked up the garment and examined it. Weren't there supposed to be one for both legs? Maybe you had to make them?
It didn't work either way, none of the already made holes weren't big enough to get his legs through and the skirt became a more of a makeshift vest. He
"Um, I think that this is a little too small."

Hunter woke and stretched her stiff legs before shaking out her gray pelt. It was her second night in the cave she had found in living in the forest was generally easier in her wolf form. She sat and scratched at her ear for a moment before taking a look around the place. She sighed, it wasn't very...homey or comfortable yet, but she planned to fix that as soon as she got used to the forest.
She stood at the entrance to the cave and looked around, deciding that she'd explore the forest today and maybe catch a rabbit to eat. With that she trotted off, following game trails to where ever they lead and taking random forks randomly.

Lenore peeked out and gave a sigh of annoyance. Not only had he rippd it, he hadn't even undone the fastener!

"You know, you should really unfasten things before you mangle them," the huffed before pulling another skirt out of her room. This one was a simple black skirt of broadcloth, without decorations though it did have a stain or two...somewhere. But this time she untied the waist band of the skirt before holding it out for him to take. "Put both legs through this hole here," she pointed at the waist, "And come over here when that's done so I can tie you up."

She pursed her lips and reached out to grab the ruined skirt from her guests back, giving it a good rip when she caught hold of it. "It's not a vest."
