Leo's anticipation was met when Meredith took off his glove and took hold of his hand. Leo smiled widely and let his own gravity flow over them, the weight of the world lifting both their shoulders. Leo took away as much gravity as possible. He looked up at the younger boy. "It doesn't matter if you see anything. I have nothing to hide. And if you just so happen to look at my gruesome death, it doesn't matter. Because, I will die someday, but not today." He slowly and carefully lifted from his seat next to Kiami, pulling Meredith up with him and trying not to set them off. He turned and looked down at her. "And if there's anything going on between us, it's none of your buisness." But, his expression read, 'I'll tell you later.' He turned his attention back to Meredith. "Feels good huh?" He smirked and chuckled. "You ready? 'Cause I am!' Before he finished his sentence, he pushed off the ground with all his might, sending them soar into the air. The two landed on the school's roof with ease. Well, Leo had ease. Meredith was still new, and his landing was a bit clumsy. "Hey! Your a natural! With a little practice, you could be flying better than me." He stated, trying to make Meredith a bit more comfortable. His skin was soft, silky, and smooth. Probably a product of years of not allowing anyone else's natural oils mingle with his own. His grip was firm and tight. Probably from fear. He looked a bit nervous. Leo got a bit closer and lifted his chin with his finger. "Hey," he said in a soft, kind tone, "don't be so nervous. It's just me. We've been friends for two years, now. You know me. Everythings okay." Leo reassured him.

Kiami grinned and watched them, “They’d make a cute couple.” She dropped her eyes back down to the others. “Alright enough playing around,” she said as she pushed herself up from her seat. “We have work to do.” She stood tall, putting her heals together and her hands behind her back. “Everyone is ready right?” She looked at Draqx and Lucid. “We can go into details on the trip there. If we brief here we’ll never get anything done.”

Draqx nodded.

'That is correct, though we are currently waiting for transportation, and if I am correct with my timing calculations it should be arriving momentarily.'

Though Draqx did calculate the arrival time, he had also requested the computer system to signal him as to the status of the transportation... it never hurt to make sure.

Lucid watched Meredith and Leo with a slight smile. It was nice to see how well they got along. Leo was probably one of his best students, even though he called him Lucy every chance he got. It wasn't his favorite nickname, maybe it was just because Leo was the one saying it. Either way, he was happy to see that hopefully one person in the group would make Meredith feel a little better about the mission.

His attention turned toward Kiami and he nodded slightly. "Of course we have work to do, but right now, it doesn't look like everyone is ready. We're still waiting for a few people it seems. Also, it hasn't been twenty minutes yet. More like nineteen and a half." He said with a weak laugh. "There isn't too much to brief everyone on, that's why we're going, seems to be a bunch of unknowns about the mission. Though, that's okay, we got the best seekers on the mission. We'll find out, and I'm sure Draqy and Meredith will figure out all that we need to learn."

((This is still Dae Dae; just on my alt))

Before Meredith even had a chance to voice the thought that he was far from ready and doubted he ever would be, Leonardo had already launched himself into the air and Meredith along with him. Too shocked to even utter a sound, Meredith could only stare at the rapidly receding ground below them. It was both frightening yet oddly serene at the same time. He felt perfectly weightless, but that did not stop him from clinging tightly to Leonardo's hand.

Before he knew it they were landing upon the school's roof and Meredith stumbled into Leonardo before he could catch his balance. Meredith made quite the face at Leonardo's assuredly false claim that he was a natural, but the expression was obviously not enough to cover up his nervousness. Leonardo stepped even closer to him and lifted his chin so that their eyes met. Meredith's face flushed pink and he quite thoroughly ignored it. "We are very high off the ground." He stated the obvious, turning his head to look back down.

Leo chuckled a bit. "Yeah, we are. But, personally, I like to be up there." Leo pointed up at the highest and biggest cloud he could fine. "I'd love to take you up there, but I can only get there alone. I cant take away all of my gravity, well almost all of my gravity, but when I'm sharing my power, I can only take away so much. If I share it with too many people, it's a wasted attempt. With one passenger I can only make it to..." Leo looked around. He saw a tall oak, about 30 feet in the air. Leo jumped at the beast, pulling Meredith along with. He easily made the jump, but Meredith couldn't grab a footing. Leo wrapped his arm around the smaller boys back and pulled him close, so he wouldn't plummit to his immeadiet death. He turned and pushed Meredith gentally to the tree and shielded him with his body, so he wouldn't be afraid, nor fall. This position held the two rather closely. This made Leo tingle with excitement and nervousness. He wouldn't make a move, unless Meredith did so. His hand was still holding on to Meredith's, fingers intertwined. He looked down at the boy. His fear was plastered over his face like a sex scandle over the tabloids. Leo came down to his eye level this time, trying to catch his attention. He used his soothing, calm voice again, something he was now commonly refering to himself as 'Meredith's voice.' "Hey. Hey, look at me. Don't worry. You won't fall. I won't let you. I won't let anything bad happen to you. Do you want to go down? I can take you down if you want. I thought you'd like this. That's why I brought you up here. I love being up here, and your always nervous and shy, and I though this would help and you'd open up a bit more. But it looks like I just scared the crap out of you. I'm sorry. Here, let me take you down."

Meredith waited for Leonardo to finish his sentence, but he never did. Instead, he leaped into a tree without warning, and this time Meredith did let out a yelp of surprise. He soon felt a branch beneath one foot, but before he had even a moment to feel relief, that foot slipped. Certain he was going to hurtle to the ground below and equally certain he did not want to see it coming, Meredith immediately squeezed his eyes shut. Leonardo was quick to action, wrapping an arm around Meredith before turning to pin him to the tree.

It took Meredith a long moment to accept that death was no longer imminent. He cracked open one eye to see that Leonardo held him, quite close in fact, and he was not falling after all. He opened the other eye and listened to his heart pump so fast and hard from adrenaline that he almost could not understand a word Leonardo was saying to him. When the words finally sunk in, Meredith mumbled an unconvincing "I'm not scared."

"I don't want to go down yet." That was true, at least. Now that he was up here and perfectly fine outside of a bit of shock, he wanted a chance to enjoy the experience. He wasn't likely to have another chance after showing Leonardo how much of a baby he could be about it.

Meredith didn't move a muscle; he'd already slipped once and didn't trust his footing on this tree. That of course left him still pressed close to Leonardo and that sudden realization made his heart beat faster for an entirely different reason. Startled by his own line of thought, Meredith lowered his eyes. Which did not help much, since he was still looking at Leonardo's chest. "What is it like up higher?" He asks suddenly.

Kiami smiled slightly and watched the two love birds. “I wonder if they know it yet.” She asked, mostly herself as she watched Leo and Meredith. “All ways seems to be the case, everyone else knows it before you do.” She let out a whist full sigh, “how romantic.” Her thoughts became distant again, and she had to bring herself back to reality. When she was into a mission she could be a rather brutal killer, but being distracted was never a good thing. So, she smiled and began to gather water into the thick jacket she wore until it dripped then forced the water to stay in the jacket. Ideally the water would keep her cold and she would easily be able to pull the water from her jacket and use it as a weapon.

Leo smirked at Meredith's unconvincing words, but he didn't want to go down. That sounded convincing. So, Leo didn't move. He looked up to the sky and squinted, trying to keep the sun out of his eyes. "Well, it's...amazing. I mean, they say the clouds are all wet and stuff, but thats all on the inside. And when you're nearly weightless, you can just lay on them and cuddle them like giant pillows. And being on top of a thunder cloud is the best! I mean, it is just awesome! To see the wrath of such a powerfull thing and not be affected at all is just superb. I love it up there..." Leo looked back down at Meredith. The grin he had on his face faded and he hugged nervously. "But, it's not all that great." He said, trying to sound tough and macho. He blushed a bit from the sudden change in tone and the sweat that was accumilating in at his hands. 'Thank God I wore my gloves,' He thought to himself. Leo giggled nervously and looked down at the people below the two. He turned his attention back on Meredith. "They don't seem to be moving. We can stay here, or go higher, or we can go back down." Leo then blurted awkwardly, "If you want, of course. I don't want to make you do anything you wouldn't want to, you know. I mean..." Leo sighed and smiled. He was very nervous. Maybe it was the fact that Meredith wasn't so nervous anymore. Or the fact that they were close. Or maybe because he wanted to stay or maybe even go higher which ment that he would end up loving it and want to spend more time wiht Leo flying. Leo put his free hand to his head and pushed his fingers through his cyan locks.

Meredith smiled as he listened to Leonardo describe lying on a cloud as though it were a puffy, floating bed in the sky. He could not even imagine trying to relax with angry thunder roiling just beneath him. That Leonardo could... well, it just proved how different they were. But even he wasn't as nonchalant as he pretended; Meredith had to suppress a giggle when Leonardo blushingly tried to downplay his own awe. He wasn't aware Leonardo even could blush, let alone stammer awkwardly as he was doing now. Meredith chalked it up to their awkward position pressed together against the tree. And then he remembered this was the same Leonardo that greeted him by leaping onto his back. It didn't really add up.

"I don't want to go down yet." Meredith repeats after a moment of thought. "Anything else is up to you; you are the expert. Though... if I wouldn't be too heavy... I would like to see how high I could go." Perhaps he shouldn't have said that. Leonardo actually looked nervous; was he afraid to take Meredith any higher? Should Meredith be afraid for himself? No, Leonardo would definitely catch him. Just because he was nervous about it did not mean he wouldn't pull it off. So Meredith put on his best encouraging smile.

The body of Amarantha smiled wickedly at Zenn, trying hard to not revel in his misery. How easy it would have been to fix him, but she wanted to see his blood, just for a bit longer. Consensio would not let him die, she needed him far too much for that inconvience. Fallen angels, angels in general, there was something mystically beautiful abou their demises, if only she could harvest their deaths more appropriately, such as, ripping off their wings, torturing their minds, her most favorite things. But Zenn had been loyal to a fault. Even now, bleeding at the threshold of her footsteps, he pledged his loyalty to her. The least she could do was fix him, that much, was worth in return.

Consensio wrapped her hands around the neck of her body and applied pressure until she could feel her handle on the body slipping away. Right before death, Consensio would withdraw without the worry of Amarantha getting away because she would be so far gone in the back of her mind and asleep, it would not matter if she left the body for just a few moments. Consensio's soul poured out from Amarantha's nose, mouth and eyes, and gathered at Zenn's feet.

"This wont hurt.." Her many strange voices emminating deep from the bowels of that strange pale fog. "Stand still..." Whispering, she decided to enter through the pores, with this she was just infecting his blood stream rather than invading his mind. This was one of the perks to her... lack of a body. Tracing through his veins, Consensio gathered near the spots that had been open on his body, and forced the blood to clot, and finally close. Amarantha was waking at this point, and Consensio hurried back to her body and took control once more. Atleast for the time being, he would stop bleeding, however, if those wounds were punctured, they would begin to bleed once more. She was a demon, not a miracle worker.

"That will do until you can heal on your own. If they will come to us, best thy be ready... I have some work to be doing..."

Leo restrained himself from grinning widely with joy. He loved to fly. And he really wanted to show Meredith what it was like to fly. Leo hadn't tested if he could take anyone up, he just assumed that he couldn't, that way he wouldn't strain himself. But, he'd strain anything for Meredith. He was different. From everyone else he had ever met. Leo smirked a bit, the grin pressing to come out. "We can go as high as you want. But, I'll need you to get on my back. It'd be much easier for both of us." He turned around and Meredith jumped onto his back. Leo then turned around on the branch, so he was facing the tree. He felt Meredith's weight returning to him. He quikly grabbed Meredith's ungloved hand and pressed it to his bare shoulder. "Remember, skin to skin contact. Why don't you take your other glove off so that nothing accidentally happens." He turned his attention to a cloud in the sky, the back to the trunk of the tree. It turned red. Leo's Z-vision working it's magic. He swiftly ran at the tree with his speed, and then ran up the trunk as far as he could, getting the two of them as light as they could, and using all the power he could in his legs. As he came to the top, he spun and pushed off of the tree with all his might, aiming for the cloud. The two shot through the cloud like a bullet. Leo pulled some gravity back into them, so they would not over shoot their targe. Luckily, it worked. They began falling on the large, white puff. As the fell, Leo pushed out every ounce of weight in the two of them. They began to float, until Leo's feet touched the cloud. "Why don't you just stay where you are. That way, we dont' disconnect and you don't go crashing to the earth. I couldn't bare loosing you." Leo said looking over his shoulder. But, after a second, he realised what he had said. "I mean, like, in a friend way, ya' know? 'Cause your my friend, and whatever. I mean, I'm not into you like that." Leo saw the expression on Meredith's face. He began to stammer again. "I mean, I am, but you know what I mean! We're just friends and thats what we should be and..." Leo saw the new expression on his face. He blushed a deep red and began to fidget with gloves. "Is it that obvious?"
PostPosted: Mon Dec 29, 2008 12:10 am

Meredith found it more than a little strange to climb onto his friend's back, but he had asked to go higher. And so onto Leonardo's back he went, clinging to him a bit nervously. Leonardo had to move his hand, reminding Meredith of the required skin contact. Just a little slip like that and he could fall... needless to say, he removed the second glove as the older boy requested. Leonardo began to run and Meredith could only gasp as they went up along the tree's trunk. He closed his eyes for just a moment as Leonardo launched himself from the tree with Meredith in tow, but quickly opened them again not wanting to miss anything. His heart was beating too fast again and he could not say for certain whether it was fear or excitement.

They shot right through the cloud, Meredith releasing a squeal of childlike glee. He relaxed his grip some, though he was careful not to move his hands around too much. As some weight returned to them and both boys drifted down to land on the cloud, Meredith looked beneath them in total awe. They were standing on a cloud! Well, to be entirely accurate, Leonardo was standing on a cloud with Meredith clinging to his back.

"Why don't you just stay where you are. That way, we dont' disconnect and you don't go crashing to the earth. I couldn't bare loosing you."

That startled him, making him look up just as Leonardo looked back at him. Meredith reminded himself that Leonardo was just being a concerned friend... just as Leonardo began saying the same. Was he disappointed? What would he have expected Leonardo to say?

"I mean, I'm not into you like that. I mean, I am, but you know what I mean! We're just friends and thats what we should be and..."

Meredith nodded numbly and could not meet Leonardo's eyes. This entire conversation was not only confusing, but completely unexpected! Though Meredith could not help but think Leonardo seemed to be trying to convince himself, more than anyone.

"Is it that obvious?"

"Judging by my complete inability to grasp what 'it' is, I am going to go with no. It really isn't very obvious at all. So let me try instead." Meredith rested his chin on Leonardo's shoulder and almost seemed to be hiding his face against the boy's neck. Which was just as well since he was embarrassed to even think about saying what came out of his mouth next. "Being friends and being... more than friends are not mutually exclusive properties." That really did not clarify things at all, did it?

Spoken word seemed entirely over rated at the moment. Meredith could not for the life of him come up with anything less awkward to say than Leonardo's confusing little speech. Frustrated with this impasse and pulse beating loud in his ears, Meredith chose action instead and kissed Leonardo. He did not think it would get more clear than that. Now, hopefully Leonardo wouldn't forget he couldn't fly and push him off. That would be... distressing.

The kiss caught Leo off guard. His eyes went completely wide, his breath caught. For a second, he didn't move. But, after getting over the enitial shock, he kissed the younger boy back. The feeling was very...intoxicating. He had liked Meredith for quite sometime. This just made things much better. The feeling of their lips together made him feel like he was flying, not just weightless and floating, but actutally flying. Leo felt things around him changing. He opened his eyes and looked around. They were a bit higher in the air. He looked down, not moving his head away from Meredith's. The cloud was below them. Leo was litterally flying. He broke the kiss and he began to float back down to the cloud. "Whoa....that was....strange." He looked back at Meredith. "Not the kiss, I mean! That...that was great...but I think I just flew." He said. "I can't push off of clouds, I can walk on them, but I can't put move more pressure than a footstep. My foot would fall through, no matter how light. But, I think I actually flew..." He looked down to the ground below. The people seemed to moving like little ants. Leo sighed. "I want to stay up here with you longer, but I think we should head back down." Leo walked to the edge of the cloud and stepped off. They began a slow disend to the earth below, not moving faster than a feather in the wind. This gave them time to talk. Leo grabbed ahold of Meredith's hand and pulled him off his back. He looked at him and blushed. "So...does this mean...we're...you know?..." He asked nervously. He'd never acted like this before. With anyone. Ever. And Meredith wasn't his first crush. Or even his first boyfriend, if that were to happen. No, Leo has been with far to many people to be called 'inexperienced.' He chuckled in his shy-ness. "I...I really liked kissing you..." He could bring himself to look at him directly. He snuck a glance, but just stared at the ground below him. "Did...did you...?" He couldn't say anything. He was too nervous, too shy, and too embaressed to be telling the person who took the initiative to commit said action. It was very noble of him, very brave. But, not at all unfearfull.
