Erik's sword was on Serrenedy's throat in a flash. "WHAT!!!??? WHAT DID YOU SAY???!!!" Erik could hardly believe that Krious could be nice enough to actually come close to getting a finance, let alone a girlfriend. "Do you know that you are engaged to marry a person who has been completely corrupted by the power of Darkness? He CAN'T stop being evil to others, what we see of him is how the total, unfiltered power of Darkness can change people, and if you marry him, the same will likely happen to you! So, should I kill you now or later, when you've been turned by him?"

"No, don't yell" She wimpered, to late. Her cards acted on their own accored. Wind picked up and she was carrieed away from him in a mini tornado, fire balls started shooting randomly, lightning flashed...till she grabbed her cards, then it all quieted. "Please don't yell..My cards, they don't like it when people yell at me" She confessed slightly. She say a small cut on his face "I AM SO SORRY" She called, at his side in a moment and tring to fix him up, the hood had been blown off so tht everbody could see she was the queen of the seekers.

Erik had suffered almost no injury, to his own astonishment. Just before everything had hit him, he thought he saw a flash of light that "blocked" all the attacks. But even though Erik was amazed by what happened, his view of Serrenedy hadn't changed. "Get off of me." Erik picked up his sword and stood ready to fight. "You're still my enemy, no matter how much you deny it. The question still stands. I can kill you now, or after you've become a super-b***h thanks to Krious."

Serrenedy squeeked. "Why does eveyone assume I'm meen 'cause I'm a seeker? Now, let me fix that sratch, it could get infected" She was honestly worried about the scratch and brought out bandaids and achohol as well. "Please?"

Erik sighed. "Haven't you been listening? I don't hate you because you're a Seeker, i hate you because you have connections to Krious. And at a pretty deep level too. As far as I know, Krious's plan is to corrupt you and use you as his offensive arm. I saw what those cards of you can do. Now, since i know already you're going to end up as my enemy one day, I feel like i should kill you now and save myself trouble. I can take an infected cut if it means I don't have to worry about you coming around to kill me." Erik raised his sword, ready to fight and kill. Serrenedy was already his enemy. She needed to die.

Pandora rolled her eyes. "Lazy a**" She said to Darius. "It isn't my duty to get you out of trouble everytime you get yourself into it." Meanwhile she was using Katalina's power of persuasion to make her decide to leave them, and Caspar's to mess with his mind. She didn't feel as if Clare would want to mess with her, but she felt no need to use the time travelpower just yet.

Serrenedy wimpered slightly. "I'm not an enemy, I don't want to hurt anybody" She murrmered soflty "I just want to help and make people happy, If spearing me will make you happy" She removed her hood and stood in front of him at the ready

"What would make me happy is killing Krious, but that ain't gonna happen. After all, there is no way I have any sort of ability that can even rival him." Erik dropped his guard a bit. "Another thing that would make me happy is you not getting corrupted by Krious, but if time continues on unaltered, then one day we may have to fight each other..." Erik sighed.

Serrenedy looked upset "I'm sorry that nothing I do can make you happy, I really just want to mke everyone happy...probably why nobody else in the court likes me, that's Why I'm engaged to Krious...they want him to fix me. So I'm sorry, If I were a little bit meaner then you would be happy, so I'm sorry"

Erik wondered why this rather kind girl was stuck in a Seeker's court. Was she an Agatheist* before? "And I'm afraid the only way to avoid being corrupted by Krious is-well, there's three, I think. One, Krious dies. Two, you die. Three, you run very far away and avoid marrying Krious. Now, Option one isn't likely. And i'm pretty sure you aren't ready to sacrifice yourself for the common good, so Option Two doesn't work either. Option Three would be the best shot, but you may not want to run, even though after everything you just told me, you seem out of place with the Seekers." Erik did not verbalize the logical follow-up: So I'll have to kidnap her and hope those cards don't kill me.

And I can't run wy, It's not nice to run away from an impending marrige...and at time, when he's not crazy, if you get him in the right mood, at cirten moments he can can be...kinda sweet" She tried in vain to go to her fiance's defence. "But tht's good, I think theirs good in everybody...I..just...have...to...find...his." She slowed her words, searching through her memmories for any moment of kindess he had shown while lucid.

I have no doubt that there is good in him as well as everybody, but, well, with krious, it's buried under complete and total darkness." Erik knew that Serrenedy would try and defend him, but something in her voice told Erik that she was trying in vain. "And if your too nice, then how on Earth did you wind up with the Seekers? I've never met a Seeker that's actually fun to be around, and that's when they think that I'm a Seeker. They hate their own parents, for Pete's sake!"

Before I hit the water my cards activated and they gave me to the childless queen as n offering, my mom" It was half recited-a story tld to her until it stuck in her mind from an unknown sorsue.her eyes went glassy for moment "I remeber...a hill, and a little cottage...hnging out wash and...a fire with a nice la..." Her eyes deeped for moment turning red before reverting back to brown "I'm sorry, that's SILLY, hills and cottages, I grew up in the castle"

Erik knew something was up. The Seekers must have brainwashed her! How else can she have two different sets of childhood memories? But why would they...Ah, of course, the plan comes together. They steal her away in order to use the power that those cards have, but they have krious marry her in order to turn her dark and evil. Simple, yet effective. "Are you sure you grew up in the castle or are you trying to pull the wool over me eyes?"
