'Alright then,' Aizel said, with a little shrug, and stretched one leg out after the other. With a last look at the echidna, he suddenly shot off, taking full advantage of his newfound speed.

His metallic feed rapidly pounded the ground, arms rapidly pumping at his side, as Aizel fought to keep ahead.

The echidna found that he could not keep up with the Hedgerobo, so he devised a newer strategy. He began to punch and knock trees down to try creating a sort of 'obstacle course' for him.

'Damn it!' Aizel yelped, leaping over one thick tree trunk at the last second. He was unable to avoid the second one as easily, and fell flat on his face.
He pulled himself back up a moment later, and took to running again, now having fallen behind the echidna a little.

"Hur hur." Mits taunted before conviently running straight into a tree. He fell on his back. "Rotting sh.. ugh."

Mits picked himself up and dusted himself off. Aw, I am never going to catch up to him on foot. But.. He eyed at the tree he fell down on and started climbing it with his spiked knuckles.

Aizel did not look back as he pressed on further, determined to put as much distance between himself and Mits as possible, not realising that the echidna had something up his metallic sleeves.

His gloves punctured through the wood like a snake's fangs. He eventually got up to the top of the tree and adjusted himself for a long drop down. "This will be amusing.."

Aizel let out a startled cry as his foot caught on something again, and he stumbled. He held his arms out before him, but just managed to keep his balance, and still zipped through the trees.
