The wiccan name was designed to protect identities.
Even people who were under torture, they could only know your wiccan name....
....
They arn't as popular, and you DON'T need one.... But its nice to have one isn't it.....
(still havn't got it yet.. lol)

Well I have my name that I use just for myself. And I haven't found my working name quite yet, I really don't know what it should be..

I think I've found one... my friend helped me with it since I was so lost.
It's Sombra. Sombra means shadow in Portuguese. I like the way it sounded, and I often feel like a shadow, slipping in and out everywhere. I'm very sneaky. LoL I find Sombra fits me well. If I find a new one that fits better, then I'll change it.
Is Sombra a good name?

Is Sombra a good name? Sombra sounds awesome. If you're not sure then try this one: Fantasma. It's Portugese as well and means ghost.

build_masta360 ... ..... ............ k, now im confused, what is a wicca name and how do you "get" one? a wicca name is a name that isn't connected to your hassle-filled life. it is used seperately however you choose. there are many ways to find it. you could be reading a book or watching a movie and feel a connection to a name. or you could be in a foreign language class and like a word you learned. it varies with everyone.

Mine would be Sakerra, I was reading a book and it just jumped out at me, the character who it represented also reminded me of me. Sakerra is a mix between Sakura which is Japanese for Cherry Blossom, which oddly enough is what my grandpa calls me, and Kerry which means dark princess and it celtic/Gaelic, and when I was ten or so, that was my first internet user name. So, for me it represents my IRL family and my online life. Okay, I believe I was just babbling, but oh well, what I was trying to say is I feel connected to that name.

I like that Fantasma one, but I think I may change mine, I had a dream a week or two ago, and so I've decided to change mine to Shadow Rain. I feel very connected to the rain. And shadow, for obvious reasons in my first Wiccan name.

it always throws me for a loop when people change their wicca name. mine has grown, but i haven't changed it

I wanted to give myself a Wiccan name because I just started my Book of Shadows, and felt that by doing this, I am sort of.. dedicating myself to Wicca (I'm a Solitary, so I don't really have any other means of dedication). So I looked at correspondances and came up with one. I have a natural talent for singing, and many of the things that correspond to the colour white and the fox represent me. I tried a few other combinations involving the colour black, and sylphs, and things involving water and air (my two elements, because neither of them fits me better than the other) But I finally came up with Singing Whitefox. I looked in a mirror and called myself by that name, and it fit me perfectly. Do you guys think it's a good name?

I too am a solitary witch. In the past 3 years I've gone through a lot of changes, and made some major choices affecting my life. It's been very confusing. I'm nothing like I used to be, and many things are still quite confusing. Oneday I came up with the name Shadow, and I thought that it described me quite well. Shadow's are the outline of what your were, are, and will be. I've since become very attached to the name Shadow. More recently I've found a last name that I really like. I found it in a fantasy book I was reading. The name I've chosen as my Wiccan name is Shadow Delat.
