(oyasuminasai)

Estelle suddenly found herself in a hall, unsure if it was the second hall or not. Even so, she got tired of the satres of the dark and suddenly went into a room, seeing a comforting fire in the chimney. She pulled the sheets and pillows off the bed and pulled them near the fire, she slept there, not caring she was on the floor. She was satisfied with the comforting pillow and blanket and the warm and bright fire. Even so, she was a bit afraid of what future comes for her, will she last long or not long at all.

The sun rose somewhere between four and five in the morning. The entire mansion smelled faintly of fresh, dewy evergreens. However, a glance outside of the window would reveal marshy brush land as far as the eye could see. One might wonder just how large this property was - and what resided outside.

Downstairs, Oliver was already awake, busily arranging furniture and cleaning portraits.

Above a fireplace in the study rested a coat-of-arms, and two ceremonial swords were attached in a cross-fashioned manner behind it - the de Hoyles coat-of-arms.

Breakfast was already arranged on the table in the Dining Hall. Duke Hoyles sat in the study, reading a leather-bound novel on fox-hunting.

Rosemary was not awake, yet.

Alya was bouncing on the bed long before the sun had risen impaitent but not wanting to go outside into the hall. She gave a loud giggle as she bounced down from the bed and opened the door slowly, running out and down the steps she remembered led to the dinning room. She saw Oliver and ran over to tackle him with a hug
"Morning!"

Oliver grinned as he was tackled. The old man nearly fell to the ground, before regaining his balance and giving Alya a hug in return. "Good morning, little miss. Did you sleep well?"

Oliver was somewhat concerned that the little girl wasn't more scared or frightened - he wished so that Alya hadn't been brought here - but was glad of how she was doing so far.

Rosemary yawned as she opened her eyes sleepily. She turned over, refusing to get up.

Nam had not slept well last night.

Mostly, he had raked his brain for a solution, or at least a course of action. He had decided what he would do next, but wasn't sure about much else.
Nam began preperations to defend himself.
Having a similar idea as Kryxel (albiet delayed,) Nam picked up the chair in his room and smashed it sideways repeatedly against the wall until the front two legs broke off. The curve at the bottom of the legs conformed to his hands perfectly, and on the other side there were splinters. Nam hoped that by carrying these, people would be more reluctant to attack him and, if needs be, strike back. He swung them around a bit, deciding to go searching later for a longer, thinner lead pipe or even a crowbar. Tossing the makeshift bludgeons onto his bed, he re-jammed the back of the chair underneath his doorknob. Looking around for every opportunity, Nam took a porcilain vase and lifted it above his head, letting it drop as he leapt onto the bed to avoid injury. Nam took the two largest pieces, and smashed the rest into even smaller bits, placing them in the doorway to stop people who may have malicious intent. Seeing the delima of not being able to cross his own threshold, Nam tore three strips lengthwise from his sheets and braided them together (as his friend Rebeccah had taught him,) and tied one end securely to the outside doorknob, letting the rest trail all of the way back to the bed. Tearing more sheets (though more thin then the makeshift rope,) Nam fastened the largest porcelain shard to one end of the new braid and tried it out, lashing it around. A crude weapon at best. He swung it around his head, careful not to let himself be hit with the shard. He would have to practice with this more. The other piece he had saved, he stuck in his pocket.
Nam usually had a million things jammed into his pockets, all of it junk. He had learned this from rats, raccoons and mockingbirds. He was upset when he realized that his stuff was gone, and set to work replacing it all. He stored was a shaving razor, screws that he took from dislodging the drape holder, the drape holder, and a can of aerosal hairspray, to name a few.
Oliver hadn't gotten around to Nam when feeding them all in the dungeon, nor had he eaten last night. It was past time for breakfast and Nam was a 14 year old boy. He was hungery. Tearing off a very small piece of toilet paper, Nam dislodged the chair and exited the room, placing the paper between the door and the wall to know if someone had infiltrated his newly tricked-out hideaway. Chair legs in hand and makeshift whip in pocket, Nam strode out into the hallway, thinking of how best to get a better pair of shoes to protect his own feet and help better his speed.

Alya giggled and nodded, looking around
"Can I go and say hello to the Duke and Rosemary?" She asked innocently and sweetly

Oliver glanced around, as if to see if either mentioned were in the room at the time. "You don't need my permission, little miss. As a guest in his house, the Duke has given you run of the place - except for the third story. I can only urge you not to wander anywhere dangerous, such as outside or underground. I really hope nobody gets hurt by my Master's... game."

Rosemary trudged out of her room, the dress she had slept in wrinkled and dragging along the floor. She did not go downstairs, however. She couldn't do that until she was dressed properly.

Alya nodded eagerly and looked around
"Where would Rosemary and the duke be?" She asked polietly, sucking on her thumb for the first in what seemed ages

Sammy had not slept all night long. She was too busy thinking of a 'game plan' of sorts. Sammy was trying to figure out where and where not to go, so she could remain alive to finish the game. When she felt the time being right, she exited her room and walked down the stairs that led to the dining hall, waving quietly to Oliver as a morning greeting and walking over to the table, where breakfast had already been set. She sat down and waited for the others to sit, finding it impolite to start eating before the others arrived.

Oliver shrugged. "I have no knowledge of that, little miss. The Duke likes to read in the morning, but Rosemary... is elusive. She doesn't like me." The old man, sighed, then continued sweeping with a broom that he hadn't had in his possession a few minutes before.

He smiled and waved at Sammy, before walking to another room to sweep.

Rosemary walked downstairs, dressed in a yellow sun dress that frilled at the bottom. Her slippers were black, however, and she entered the Dining Hall to find Sammy. "You can eat," she said, wrinkling her nose at a salad as she walked past it.

The girl sat down and starting stuffing her face, ignoring the person sitting across from her.

"Okay then," Sammy replied softly with a warm smile, carefully beginning to eat her food, more slowly than Rosemary was.

Nam thought it a cruel thing to do, but watched Sammy as she ate to see if she had an odd reaction. Nothing seemed to be wrong, so he sat down - far away from them - and smelled everything on his plate. It all seemed okay, and he couldn't think of a reason why it would be poisoned, so he ate it all (and fast, too,) and dismissed himself.

Estelle had already awoken early, refreshing herself and wondering around the mansion. She wondered down the stair case, trying to figure how to get where she was going, already feeling lost.
