Story #1 Post #156

1. The party figures that they could stop at small islands to let the chocobos rest and ask the moogle if any of them could be trained to cross deep water at all. Having a few skilled chocobos would be worth it in the long run, because if they ever reached their destination and felt no need to go anywhere else at the very least they could sell the chocobos to earn some extra gil, or if they needed to travel farther they could continue to train the chocobos until they could fly, and so on and so forth...

1. The training takes a day or a couple days.
2. The training takes a week or a couple weeks.
3. The training takes a month or a couple months.
4. The moogle says the training will take a year and the party decides against it.

Story #1 Post #157

4. The moogle tells them that training would most likely take a year or longer unless the chocobos were extremely skilled. So the party leaves and heads to Lindblum taking the chocobos with.

The party enters the city through the Dragon Gate and...

1. take the trolley directly to the Serpent gate and looks to hire a ship that will take them and the chocbos to another continent.
2. take the trolley directly to the serpent gate only to learn when they arrive that there are no ships they can hire to take them to another continent.
3. head up to the city level to restock with what GP they have left.
4. head up to the city in hopes of finding a buyer for chocobos. (except chocolate)

Story #1 Post #158
((What's with the GP? Why can't we just say gil? It makes me think of gold potatoes or an unnecessary "gil points".))

2. The party takes the trolly directly to the serpent gate only to learn that there are no ships that they can hire to take them to another continent.

1. "Let's swim across," Pigboar suggests.
2. "To Alexander!" Anna squeals excitedly.
3. "There's a ship over there," John observes, "Let's steal it!"
4. "I'm going to KILL that liar!" Pigboar shouts in rage and attacks the person who informed them that there were no ships.

Story #1 Post #159
((Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm pretty sure FFIX used GP. Which stands for gold peices.))

1+2+3. "Let's swim across," Pigboar suggests.
"To Alexander!" Anna squeals excitedly.
"There's a ship over there," John observes, "Let's steal it!"
"Let's pretend John didn't just say that and make me want to drown him." said Ophelia coldly.
"Or" say Garm and Tomasu at the same time. They both look at each other before Tomasu continues. "We could ask around and see who that ship belongs to and see if they would be willing to take us to our destination."

1. The party finds the owner of the boat nearby.
2. The party find someone who point them in the direction of a house in the city.
3. The party find no sign of the owner and wait around.
4. The party find no sign of the owner and go up to the city.
5. The party can't find the owner and give up and go to the city to find an inn to stay at before leaving again for Alexandria.

((Please don't forget about the chocobos, leave them behind if you want but don't just let them drop out of the story with no explanation.))

Story #1 Post #160

((I believe FFIX used gil just like every other FF game that I'm aware of. I've played it at least a dozen times I think, or somewhere around there...well, a lot, and are we really allowed to choose more than one option?))

3. The party finds no sign of the owner and wait around.

1. The owner shows, but won't help.
2. The owner shows and helps.
3. The owner doesn't show, the party goes to another city.
4. The owner doesn't show, the party steals the ship.

Story #1 Post #161

((Probably not, but since we started doing it like 20 or 30 posts back somewhere in Treno maybe I should change that in the rules. That plus some of them leave each other so wide open for something else to happen, like in 158-159 someone may say something but the party may take a completely different action if done right. In the end it's a story made by multiple people and it's never going to follow a path set by any one person no matter how hard they try, so may as well make the best of it.))

1. The owner shows up, but refuses to help the party. "Nope," says the boat owner, "that ship is being loaded down as much as possible with machinery and being sent to Alexandria. I plan on making some good money off this shipment."

When the Garm asks if they could get a ride to Alexandia instead then, The man responds that the boat is already going to be weighed down with too much machine parts and that unless the party can pay a fortune they have no chance of renting or buying this boat.

1. The party continues arguing.
2. Tired they give up and go into the city to find an inn and look for clues in the city tomorrow before going to Alexandria.
3. The party decides to give up and head immeadiately for Alexandria.

3. met an understanding politician/businessman/noble/et cetera who helped them out with getting out of jail.

5. discovered that their being imprisoned was part of a villain (sp?)'s plot to destory them.

((Lets see... story could use a plot twist right about now. twisted Oh, and also, I'm sorry it's so long, but I had one of my creative moments.))

Story #1 Post #165

5. Pigboar sat in his cell wondering if there was a way for any of the party to escape. Thinking about Tomasu's abilities made him think they had a chance. He wouldn't know though considering that his party had been seperated so they couldn't plan anything.

The door to the room unlocked and Pigboar looked up to see why. When it opened the person Pigboar had never expected was standing in the dorrway; it was Trah.

Pigboar cursed and hopped to his feet wondering what he could do without any weapons against someone as strong as Trah.

"You and your friends really do make this too easy you know." said Trah.
"Make what too easy?" replied Pigboar angrily.
"Now now, I came to you because I thought you'd put the lives of your friends first."
Pigboar relaxed a little a the mention of the others. He didn't want to do anything that might get them killed.
"That's better." said Trah, "Now then, my master has grown tired of you and your friends. You have caused him many problems such as killing his servants, but at the same time you have helped him by being out in the open. For example, it would have taken us years to track this down." Trah opened his hand and showed him the golden chain.
"Mind explaining your master's whole fasination with random crap?" retorted Pigboar, and Trah smiled.
"No clue, I just get paid well to collect the items he wants to find. I honestly couldn't care less what he wants them for. Though I think Anna had some kind of theory on that one."
"Get to the reason why you're here instead of not here now that you have the chain!" yelled Pigboar.
Trah frowned then replied, "Very well, my master wants you out of the picture, but I think you'll like my offer better. I'm having trouble finding the last two peices that my master wants. I want you to find them, and in return I'll not only let you live if you promise to quit pestering my master, but I will get you and all your friends out of here. Before you reply though I also want you to know that I already managed to remove one of your friends from the city without notice, and I will kill that person first if you say no."

Pigboar having no choice in the matter agrees and Trah leaves. Later a guard comes to the door and tells Pigboar that he is free to go. When he gets out of the building he finds the rest of the party waiting for him except...

1. Garm
2. Ophelia
3. Johnathan
4. Tomasu
5. Anna

((It's fine.))

Story #1 Post #166

3. Johnathan is missing. Pigboar is a little relieved, because at least some of the stronger and seemingly less greedy party members are still there, and at least little Anna is safe with them. He can't help but wonder if Johnathan is actually working with the villians, but then...if he wasn't and they took him...either way a loss would be sad.

1. Pigboar figures that John isn't worth the trouble and doesn't help the villain.
2. Pigboar decides to try to rescue John.
3. Pigboar starts looking for those two other items.
PostPosted: Thu Mar 19, 2009 9:06 am

Story #1 Post #167

3. Pigboar knowing that Johnathan's life may hang in the balance, and the fact that he doubted that the group stood a chance against Trah if he carried out his threat to wipe out the party. So Pigboar tells the rest of the party of the situation and...

1. an argument starts.
2. the whole party agrees with Pigboar's decision.

Story #1 Post #168

1. an argument starts...Garm and Ophelia, who were there when John first stole from Pigboar, think that the thief could be trouble. Pigboar still wants to help John though, and Anna and the other guy agree with him, Anna especially because she's a sensative little girl.

1. The party splits.
2. The party gives up on the idea of helping John.
3. The party agrees to help John and themselves.
PostPosted: Fri Mar 20, 2009 8:26 am

Story #1 Post #169

3. In the end, the party agrees to follow Pigboar's decision on finding the items to save John and most likely themselves.

1. Pigboar talks to Anna concerning what Trah said, hoping that she would know where to start looking.
2. The party is now stumped as to where they should start looking.
3. the party starts asking around at a few taverns for clues as to where they can start.
