Xander thought this over for a moment, "Alright, deal." he said, removing a worn-looking coin from his pocket, "Heads or tails?" he asked, flipping the coin high into the air.

"Heads," Tiki said as he hand flicked out and snagged the coin. He slapped it on the back of his hand. He removed his hand to reveal...
((You do it, I don't care.))

((Okay, I just flipped a coin anyway, lol))
The coin showed heads, "You're be the wood gatherer first, I'm the Keeper." Xander announced, retrieving his coin. Xander picked up several pieces of debris, being careful only to gather pieces that most closely resembled firewood.
After he finished gathering, he flipped the coin one more time and muttered "Tails." as he did so. He caught it and pressed it to the back of his hand. He removed his hand, revealing the tails end of the coin. A wicked smile spread across Xander's face, "I'll be kneeling in front of the "wood", you try to take as much as you can without me tagging you first, three strikes, you're out, tally up your wood and then it's your turn, or when all of the wood is gone." explained Xander as he set the debris in a neat pile in front of him and knelt before it, tying the blindfold around his eyes and resting his hands in his lap, "Wood Gatherers," he said, his tone challenging, "we need wood!"
He fell silent.

Tiki nodded as Xander spoke. After he put the blindfold on, Tiki stood perfectly still for about two minutes, observing the layout and thinking. With a shrug, he took a small pebble from the ground and flicked it to his right, where there was a higher number of rocks and such. It clattered almost silently.
He himself went to his left, where there was still a bit of grass. Tiki was a pro at moving silently.

Xander's head twitched to the right but almost immediately returned to it's former resting position, he had been playing this game for years, he wasn't about to be tricked by such an effortless attempt.
He waited for another, more reliable sign.

Tiki smiled as he gauged Xander's reaction, this time taking a pebble and throwing it to the left, where it made almost no noice among the grass. Tiki himself advanced ever so slowly, making every effort to be noiseless.

Xander turned his head ever so slightly to the right, a faint rustle? There was grass that way, he could smell it, and he had noticed it, along with the other surrounds as well, before donning the blindfold. Xander knew he'd have to watch his left, grass had a bad habit of muffling footsteps.

Tiki bent and quietly scooped up a handful of pebbles. He threw them all straight up in the air. When they began to hit the ground, he took a silent step to the right and forward.

Xander glanced briefly in the direction of the falling pebbles, the sounds were too rapid and faint to be footsteps, but Tiki was definitely in that direction.

Tiki repeated this action, taking several steps in random directions, even going backwards twice. Soon, he was standing to Xander's right, about two feet away. Luckily, Tiki had an incredible lung capacity from several missions that he prefers not to talk about.
He held his breath as he did it twice more, now finding himself right by the pile. Slowly, inch by inch, he reached out to grab some wood. His fingers wrapped around a piece and he slowly began to pull

Xander ignored most of the pebbles, knowing that they were just simplistic tricks intended to confuse him. He waited for a more distinct sound, like a foot crunching on gravel, or shuffling through dust, but soon, an even better sound made it's way to Xander's ears, the subtle scrape of "wood" against the ground.
Xander's hand flashed out, moving almost inhumanly fast and reaching to tag Tiki's forearm.

Tiki tried to twist out of the way, but Xander caught him just after he pulled the wood off the pile.
"One," he said cheerfully. "My turn, right?"

Xander grinned and removed his blindfold, "Not bad for a first try," he offered, handing Tiki the blindfold.

Putting the blindfold on, he sat. "We uh...we need wood! Or something..."

"Oh, ok..." Esther looked around her new quarters, setting her bag against a small coffee table, "Um..." she paused, not sure if she should ask or not, but did anyways as her thoughts jumped from one subject to another, "Did you know my father very well? And when do I start work?"
