A red spark of light appeared outside the school. It flared brighter a moment, and the ground soon began to rumble. There was a loud crackling sound, and an earthquake soon split the ground in half. It made it's way towards the school and began to split it in two as well.

Gambit stopped his motorcycle outside the rear of the X-Mansion. "Mon Dieu, 'de t'ings 'dat happen in 'dis town..." He stepped off the bike, running a partially gloved hand through auburn strands.
Taking a few steps toward the back door, the ground began to rumble. "...You gotta be kiddin' me...Now what?" The cajun took off in a run towards the doors, making his way inside. He generally assumed it might have been one of the residents having some kind of telekinetic breakdown. The way things had been going today, it wouldn't come as a surprise.

"Remy!" Came the call of the Southern Belle. "Ah can find the kids or Logan..none of em are here!" She said landing next to him. Looking at the devastation the strange anomalie had caused she shook her dismayed. Watching as the only real home she had ever had being destroyed. "It's been happenin' all over the place..Ah don't understand what the heck is going on..even the professor...he's gone to!"

Gambit jumped from the doors as the buliding split into two halves, right as Rogue had called out to him. He looked at his fellow X-Man as she told him what she'd found, or hadn't been able to. "What's goin' on, Chere? 'Dis don' make any sense..." As if the Professor's absence wasn't enough of a bad omen, now the school was in shambles and the entire school's population was missing.
"You t'ink 'dey knew 'dis was gon' happen? ..An' if 'dat's 'de case....where would 'dey go?" He asked her, bringing red eyes back to surveying the damage.

"Ah don't know...Ah havn't been able to find or contact anyone." With the mansion and shambles there wasn't much they could do. However they still might of been able to get to the blackbird from the sub-levels. " Hold on a sec Ah'm a try something.."She took off into the rubble and tried to access the elevator among the wreckage.

"Chere, be-" He stopped himself. Telling Rogue to be careful was about as useful as telling Wolverine to stay put. There was nothing to worry about. But it still made the ex-thief antsy when she did put herself in danger. He just smirked to himself and followed her as well as he could into the carnage that was the school. He didn't dare charge anything to get it out of his way at this point, at the risk of collapsing the faux-balanced walls of the building.
"Find anyt'in', Rogue?" he called out to her after nearly losing sight of her in the dust and debris.

She moved a piece of wall debris out the way accessing the elevator door , which surprisingly still worked. "Over here!" She shouted to the Cajun as the sliding doors opened, sparks flew in the shaft of the elevator as the lights blinked. All they needed to do was get to the black bird.

His ears perked at the sound of her voice and he followed it to the elevator shaft carefully. After reverting back into theif-mode to get across the wasted mansion without triggering an avalnche of concrete, he finally stood beside her, staring inside the doors.
"Goin' down?" He smirked to the other.

Storm appeared on the lawn and her eyes widened in disbelief. "Oh my Goddess what happened here!" She said trying to not let the tears form in her eyes. Thunder clouds began to form over head...
Rogue was about to enter the elevator until she noticed the figure in the distance. "Mah Goodnesss Remy look!" She said pointing a finger to the figure summoning clouds over head. It was Ororo.

Gambit turned toward the gloved pointed fingers' direction. Now there was a sight for sore eyes. "Storm!" The Cajun called, relieved to see the other X-man. Maybe she could give them a clue as to where the others had disappeared to.
"We don' know what happened, all we did was show up an' 'de whole buildin' cracked like an egg!" He yelled to the other, hoping she could hear him over her own thunder.

Storm with much concentration began to clear away the thunder clouds. With a gust of wind she flew over to where her teammates were. " I have alot to tell you both.."
"Ya got that right sugah, but first let's get the blackbird outta here for sumtin' else crazy happens."

"I'm wit' Rogue, betta' get 'de bird b'fore it end up like 'de school." Gambit stepped into the elevator, anxious to hear any information about what was happening.
"Pro'lly be best if you start talkin on 'de way, mon ami, Ot'erwise 'dis gon' be a real awkward silence, no?" He added, leaning his back against one of the metallic walls.
