Once outside of the station, Sally sat sideways on her staff and lifted into the air, heading toward the east side of town. She flew just over the tops of the buildings, noting the spot where Mrs. Cane said that she had seen the woman. A cursory look at the alleys on the other side of the bridge didn't reveal a dead body, so Sally thought there was a pretty good chance the woman was still alive.

Then, Sally heard someone shouting below her. When she looked, lo and behold, there was the woman, standing a little ways away from two arguing vampires. Quickly, she landed next to the woman. "Hello, ma'am, if you don't mind, I need you to come with me," she said.

I looked around the town, looking for someone, anyone, I didn't care if I excedded my bonderies, I'd fed, and I was in the mood to move anyways.

"Well," Sophitia's voice shook slightly. Karin thought this whole situation was hillarious. Just goes to show you, ghosts don't make good friends. She sucked in a breath. "Uh...we've been going out for a little while now. Maybe a month or two?" She did her best not to bring attention to Vandal. She was trying her best to protect him, for the time being. It didn't seem to be going very well....

Brodix stopped just up at the end of the street. His keen sense of smell picked up another scent.... Turning, he noticed the woman on the staff just as she was landing. The vampire had already started back towards the two, but hadn't quite gotten there yet, and the girl may very well be in trouble. Not really thinking it any of his business, especially after the way he was insulted and threatened, Brodix's first impression was to leave them be, but he decided to hang close just in case and see what would go down. He didn't know who the mystery woman was, but her scent put Brodix on edge a little meaning that her intentions weren't neccesarily friendly.

She waved her hand, not sure if it was directed at Vandal or the witch girl. "It's a long complicated story...." She sighed, trying to think of something. "We met....by the bridge!!" Her story was starting to come together and she spoke with confidence. "It was love at first sight!" She smiled at the witch girl, trying to waver her suspicion.

Sophitia blushes, but was becoming annoyed. "I have no idea what your talking about! I didn't ask you to come here!" She hated being so cross, but she didn't know what else to say. She sighed. "Look, if you think I'm in some kind of danger, you can forget it. I'm fine. I can take care of myself." She played with her fingers. "I...I'm here for a reason, honest. And with good intentions." She looked at her, only speaking the truth now. "I don't know what I'm suppose to do here. I just know I'm suppose to do it...."

Sally considered the vampire who had just arrived impassively. She was more convinced by what the woman had just said than the vampire's attempt to act as her boyfriend. Still, the fact that he was attempting to play along rather than attacking her outright was interesting.

She sighed. Damn the damn border rules to hell and back. "I believe you, ma'am. You, sir, not so much, but you don't seem to mean any harm. Personally, I would love to just leave you alone, but if I do, my boss won't be happy. He already knows that someone crossed over and without proof that they did so of their own free will, he'll just send someone else who won't be nearly as understanding."

When the woman had finished her explanation, Sally realized that she faced a pretty big dilemma. On one hand, she had a job to do and if she just dropped off the face of the earth, her boss would send someone after her. On the other hand, she would love to see the border rules gone.

"How about this," she said slowly, "I report back to my boss occasionally saying I haven't found you yet in order to keep the others away and in return, you let me help you. Besides, the basis of my job is still protecting people."
