Jessica looked over to him, sighing lightly as she looked at the lakes water, holding her purse just a bit closer so it wouldn't drop. She chuckled a little, "Better than anything I've ever expected." She agreed, laughing at his later comment. She waved the small chip, winking to him. "Already done." She sighed lightly, putting it back into her bag, watching the water now. "I'm a scientist. I'm caught between what to fix in the present and how it affects the future. It's almost embedded into my system to think of the future." She pointed out with a small smirk, straightening.

Arya appeared close to where the human researches were examining the animals of the planet, collapsing onto the grass as the data pad she had been holding vanished into an interface on her belt. Her cheeks were flushed, making it clear she was under strain. Dammit. Pushing herself up slowly, she pulled her hair behind her ears, waving away the help that was offered. Instead she fashioned a long chair for herself, stretching out on it. "Oi." It had been worse than she originally thought, and her findings only confirmed what had just came in. s**t.

Jessica chuckled, "I'm already noticing that." She murmured, the smile gone at the glint in his eyes. "What are you-" She let out a yelp as they fell into the water, pressing a small disc on her bag which caused a shield to appear around it, protecting what was inside of it. Frowning a bit at the damage that could have done, she sighed, shaking her head, fixing the skirt that she was wearing. touching a finger to the collar she was wearing, her clothes changed into a bathing suit, swimming a bit easier at this point. She swam beneath the water as smoothly as a fish, her bag trailing behind on her arm. Coming up for air, she started swimming towards the shore, that familiar unease growing in her stomach, pushing herself to go faster. She wasn't mad at him, and it wasn't like she was trying to not have fun, but she was uncomfortable at this point to the max. At least until she got to shore, then she'd be better off.

Jessica blinked as the water suddenly picked her up, trying to push down the unease in her stomach, which was difficult considering she was suddenly moving through a water slide. She shivered against the cold, but smiled, just appearing rather calm. She curled into a ball at being shot through the cork screw, clutching her bag to her chest. She gave a weak smile when she came out, having to hold her head while she caught her breath. "To a degree.... Can you put me on shore please?" She asked, opening one eye as she failed at forcing the unease away again. She held the strap of her bag in one hand, praying that her hands weren't trembling.

The kitsune watched all of this from a tree not too far from the lake. he had only arrived in the city a few weeks ago, following the lead of a smuggling opperation which had depleted food stores meant for all of the races, as well as some machinery. For th majority it was low scale, but it's better to n** a problem in the bud than let it fester and grow. But right now, he was merely relaxing.

He wore a white sweatsuit outfit, something people would normally see a jogger wearing, along with white running shoes.

Mathias was curious about this female. He had never seen a human before. It was like an elf but with small, non-pointed ears. "Perhaps more of a forest person then?" He jested as he looked down at the two from his tree.

"Well, then next time we go swimming I'll have to be sure to solidify some water for your feet to touch when then." Kai sent Arya a mental sigh, Mathias just showed up.... he commented leaving things at that. Well meet tonight at the round table, he answered back referring to the meeting place for all the people. Which happened to be a gaint round stane table on the top of a gaint hill in the middle of a clearing surrouned by forest on all sides. "Mathias, old boy, what the hell are you doing in a tree?" Kai asked coming up behind Jessica and laying a protective hand on her shoulder.

Jessica smiled with a soft chuckle, relaxing a little at the familiarity between the two of them. Her hand left her purse and hung at her side, her dark eyes taking in the man, noting the two tails. She had also noted Kai's hand, tilting her head a little though she didn't ask. "I'm a human from Earth. We arrived yesterday. If I may, what are you exactly? You aren't required to answer if you'd prefer not to." She asked carefully, her expression softening a little further. She just hoped she wasn't offending by asking.

"Mathias? Thats unexpected. Alright. That'll work. Do you want me to come over?" Arya was a bit more awake at this point, a co-worker had helped her out with her lack of sleep. She was ready to head over it need be, it didn't look like she was necessary here anyways.

Jessica was relieved that she had caused no offense, that was the last thing she wanted to do. After all, they were guests in their home. But also, as people, she would hate to offend. She liked them, they all seemed like good people. "Kitsune... So part fox. Interesting." She murmured, remembering what she had read from manga's, myths, you name it. She chuckled a little despite herself at the correction, smiling as she rung out her hair since it was still wet.

Looking up to kitsune named Mathias, she straightened, pressing the disc on her purses strap so that the bubble around it faded. "We just discovered your existence and were ordered to come investigate. Unfortunately, me and my research teams guards are.... rather rude." She murmured, pushing Brother Mathias from her mind. "For me, it is to learn. I've always held the hope of something fantasy would exist." She admitted, giggling a little.

Jessica blinked a little at the correction, that was something she hadn't quite expected. "Really? Cool." She knew she didn't exactly sound like the normal scientist, but she never had exactly. She chuckled and nodded, "A whole world indeed.... Everything I've read about in existence, couldn't believe it." She clenched her hand into a fist, looking out onto the water. They were troublemakers. And they were looking for trouble. She nodded a little, grimacing despite herself, holding herself at this point, her purse over her shoulder. "Brother Mathias and his men..... They don't like being here. They believe all here on this planet to be deserving of death. Like the Christians hating the Pagans. They probably wish to purge." She said softly, shaking her head, obviously uncomfortable with the idea. "I'm sorry for bringing such men here. I had no choice in the matter." She added, giving both Kai and Mathias an apologetic expression.
