Saiya glared at Shane as he turned away. A challenge like that was not something easily brushed aside, it was a challenge of dominance. Coming from a Male it was even more insulting to have it brushed aside, worse than loosing the challenge itself. Retracting the initial challenge like that was basically telling her she wasn't worthy of the challenge. Her lip curled in a snarl and her claws extended, but her eyes darted to Mathis and with a bit of difficulty she curbed the urge to rip him apart, pulling back her shifts. A human Saiya shoved past Shane with a snarl in his direction and went to the small bar that was in the back to get a drink.

The glass in Saiya's hand shattered and a feral growl ripped through her. "Tell that to centuries of instinct that say he just insulted me in the worst way and I should tear him apart for it." She said through gritted fangs as she shoved the broken glass into a bin. She took a deep breath keeping her morph under tight reigns. "I'm not human. He obviously knows that and he should know not to talk to me like some other idiot little human wench." Her eyes flashed again and her skin rippled but didn't change. She pushed herself half over the bar not caring that her skit was too short for that kind of stunt. She grabbed a bottle of Absenth she had stashed in her bag and popped it open downing nearly half the bottle as she righted herself.

Saiya snorted. "Wanna take it? Go ahead." She said with a flash of fang her eyes silver, pupils slitted. She turned like was leaning on the bar and watched them. She took another good swig an downed nother quarter of the bottle before setting it down. She moved away from the bar and popped her spine then her knuckles. "Well if he doesn't understand than perhaps I should explain it." She said before making her way towards Shane. "Hey little curious kitten, wanna know why I feel the need to rip out your throat?" she said to Shane as she easily lifted Rick from him and tossed him across the room and into a soft chair. She hadn't done it hard enough to hurt him just get him away for a minute. Her words were clear and she didn't appear drunk at all. Only another supernatural would notice the slight signs.

"The challenge you initially presented was one of Dominance. You initially claimed you could hold dominance over me." She rolled her shoulders. "That's not a light challenge to make. Brushing it aside, especially when made to an Alpha, is an extreme insult." Her lip curled a little."You don't understand the insult so I'll explain. Making an initial challenge of dominance and then brushing it aside, especially when made from Male to a Female, is saying you don't think I'm worthy of the challenge." She pointed at Rick and snarled. "Stay!" She turned back to Shane took a deep breath. "Understand now human?"

Saiya looked to Mathis. She had visible relaxed a bit. She wasn't sure how to explain the motions to a human, it wasn't so much something you could say. "There are a couple of ways." Saiya was trying intensely to ignore Rick. She moved her hand in the circular motion she tended to make when she was trying to figure out how to word something. "I'm going to assume you want to apologize for the insult while still nullifying the challenge. Human terms.......uh. It more of action than words. There's an admittance of my dominance, a simple act of asking forgiveness." She sighed. "I don't know that a human would be capable of the actions, let alone comfortable with them."

Saiya twitched a bit. "He really needs to stop starring me down or I really may kill him." She growled her posture bristling again as she attempted to finish her conversation without acknowledging Rick's stare.

Saiya, having never really been part of a pack, found this a little odd. She rubbed the back of her neck. "Right then." She sighed and rolled her eyes tilting her chin a bit she pointed to the junction that was shown. "Normally its a brush of the nose then a lick there" she moved her head back. "That's forgiveness. I'm not showing you dominance so don't ask. You wanna know more about this stuff I got a book I'll lend you."

Saiya's posture relaxed a bit. She moved her head a bit as the brush of the nose was more of asking permission as the neck was a vulnerable spot. "Yes." She answered. Glaring at Mathis over Shane's shoulder.

Saiya leaned forwards and rubbed her left cheek against his right in a circle. "Forgiven." She walked back over the bar and again shoved herself over to rummage in her bag. "Happy you little human curiosity is alive and well." She found the book, old and warn it detailed most instinctual behaviors and actions. Her family was a line of loners, as such they passed on the book to teach their pups instead of depending on pack. She pushed back over and held the book out the Shane when she reached him. "Damage it, loose it, hurt it in any way and there will be no forgiving. I will rip your throat out." She said offering him book.
