I know I miss them too... Just swamped in work these days that's all.
For my tourney I was thinking about holding a single elimination tournament between the guild members. There would be a small entrance fee but everything would be redirected in prizes for the winners and or participants in general. I'd need 4, 8, 16 or 32 people for it to work (though maybe we could do something if we had 24). I'm still working out the details but if I get any enthusiasm rating I could probably go through with it.

Do we rp the actual battle, do we play it ala a role playing game, or do we use dice and junk?

Patsy Walker Do we rp the actual battle, do we play it ala a role playing game, or do we use dice and junk? No classic RP, I just gotta ask everyone who is working on the other tournaments what is up with it so people don't get confused and everything. Also gotta see if I can get a decent number of participants...

Patsy Walker Decided on an entry fee yet? Depends on how many participants will be interested... haven't really decided about this one yet. I hope I can get 16, the fee would then be anywhere from 200-500 gold.

Oh! Oh! Oh! Update on the New Avengers clues. The first clue doesn't refer to either the Black Widow or Elektra. It's actually referring to Jessica Drew, the original Spider-Woman. I was lurking through the Internet, and found a message board that someone had posted up the idea at. I did some research, and found the cover of Spider-Woman(vol. 1) #1. Right over the logo was: to know her is to fear her. I'm 100% on that one. I'm still not certain on clue #4. A poster in another message board brought up a Doors song lyric (sorry , but I don't know the name of that particular song, only that it was in The Lost Boys) : no one remembers your name when you're strange. So my guesses for the New Avengers are now: Spider-Woman 100% Power-Man 100% Spider-Man 100% Gilgamesh 50% OR Sandman 30% OR Dr. Strange 20% Wolverine 100%

I still think the Widow is going to be involved in a big way. She's had massive exposure recently, Hawkeye, Daredevil, Ultimates, Ultimate Nightmare, her own six issue series due out in Spetember and of course the talk about a possible movie. I don't have any facts other than what I've just listed to back this up, just a hunch. What she's getting is referred to as a push in wrestling. Pushes generally lead to main events or semi main events, and the Avengers are Marvel's main event right now. I remember the Jessica Drew Spider Woman and the tag line you mentioned, but that leads me to ask, what about Julia Carpenter?

Julia lost her powers first to the evil Spider-Woman, then to Mattie Franklin. She quit superheroics at that point to devote more time to her daughter.

I see. Steve has a Julia Carpenter badge lying around, maybe he should work on a Jessica Drew badge?

I know, I know... It's a cheap way to get people to read Avengers and do a movie that'll sell like water in a desert, but I'm pretty sure this what they're up to. BTW, Rick how's Marlo doing now that she's not a lesbian? wink

What, you were hoping for a three-way with you, Marlo, and Greer? You'd probably end up pushed out when Moondragon showed up. whee
