Emmelyn Will anyone be going to the SDCC next week? I'd love to go, but I live on the OTHER side of the world, so it's going to be a bit of a problem for me. ...oh, wait. It's going to be a BIG problem for me. XD I'm not asking because I want someone to throw eggs and tomatoes at Bryke for me. I'm asking because I want someone who can tell me what happens when the Zutarians begin lopping questions left, front, and center. I've seen the finale, now. I know a lot more than I did before my earlier rants. I -will- come out and say that the finale was epic. It was much better than the SC comic book, and the animation, and battle scenes, and music--the music was breathtaking. Toph was adorable. I want to pinch her cheeks and buy her a bunny. It was cute, the way she wanted to go on a trip with Zuko, but ended up getting butthurt. XD Zuko was SO MEAN to her! And thost last moments, when she was grappling onto Sokka's fingers, holding on for a dear life? I bawled like a baby. I <3333 the old men. Piandao = hawtness, as is Grandpakku. ^.^ And of course, Iroh will -always- be my favourite grand-daddy figure. Zuko x Iroh reunion = me, weeping = epic win. Because I don't cry when I watch cartoons. I'm a sap, but not for cartoons. I ship Tokka, but Sukka just... wow, crept up on me and made me love it for what it is. They're -adorable-. Azula was AWESOME. Every bit of her, insane, or not. AWESOME. Zutara x Azula battle = AWESOME BEYOND ALL REASON. Then we move on to the things I hated. Aang's unresolved AS issues. What? Fakeass acupuncture can unblock his chakra? WTF?! Why MENTION Ursa at all, if we weren't going to see her in the finale?! WHAT were Hakoda and the rest of the troops doing?! I could see where Maiko came from. She -did- save him. But that's not to say I enjoyed the scene. I wanted to toss my BRAND NEW laptop over my bed when it came on. And the Kataang scene. Where the hell did -that- come from? I expected there to be some form of buildup to the kiss. Just three episodes ago, she "wasn't sure", and "was confused". NOW she's KISSING HIM? It's weirdly *****, from my point of view, and I'm almost certain that I shall NEVER be able to tolerate Kataang. And what's worse is that she doesn't even ACKNOWLEDGE how she feels about him, towards him. Maybe Bryke are going for that, "A kiss speaks volumes more than words" thing, but... ...damn it, you've got to be kidding me. That's complete bull, and they sure as heck know it. End of rant. But I'll be damned if Mike and Bryan come out of the SDCC panel feeling good about themselves. They've got a lot to be ashamed of, IMHO. What they did to us, all that baiting. It's cruel, and mean. ...alright, alright. End of rant, for real now. If Toph had just gotten to do that accupunture treatment who knows how the story would have played out. Way to make a sacrifice to the world Aang. O wait that's right YOU DIDN"T!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

End of rant, for real now. very nice sum-up, i couldnt agree more. i will always be fully behind zutara, cannon or not. because its just the perfect story of betrayal, redemption, forgiveness, and love. i cant express in words how disappointed and sad i am that zutara wasnt cannon. crying but theyll always be together in my mind smile and as for kataang: burning_eyes

I gotta say, I'm extremely disappointed with how this Finale went. And it's not just because Zutara didn't reach it's fullest potential...even as a friendship. (That dialogue!! WTH, were they even trying?! I was hoping that THAT would be different from the book!) And in EIP, Kataang looked doomed. She was confused, angry, yet, she somehow comes right back and kisses him? It was truly one-sided until the VERY END. and THAT is what I hate. And Aang getting poked into the Avatar State?! COME ON!! In that case YEAH, all he needed was some Toph-accupuncture! And did you notice how much Taang reference there was? Their interaction in the Beach party, Aang getting knocked into the AS by a ROCK, using Toph's technique to WIN against Ozai... I feel so cheated. It's like they were leading up to Zutara and at the very least, KAtaang not happening until the end of EIP, but then they switched gears or something! I mean.... I'm just very disappointed by this. Here's my entire rant about the whole thing.Everyone's happy with the ending, huh? Me and Kat(AVidZktjo of ZEFID) are going to Comicon, and we're going to make sure that the Zutarians get CLOSURE.

Personally, I loved the finale but I was also pissed at the way they wrapped it up.
Did they not specifically say "All your questions will be answered"?
Well, pardon me, but they left out a lot. ;-;
Where's Zuko's mother? CUZ I WANNA KNOW. scream
And wtf was up with that kiss? Did they not just...walk out and kiss? And then the credits roll?

I counted, Zutara had 50 awseome moments, this is not including any time where they actually stood next to each other. they had over 50 moments of caring, understanding, and awseomness. Kataang had less than 10 and the only converstion between both Aang and Katara was at the beginning at it was an argument that pissed both of them off. And of course one of the many Zutara moments happened after that when Aang was Mr. Understanding and calmed Katara down. How do u go from that to a kiss?

Maiko I can live with. The scene was actually very sweet and made me smile because Mai admitted her feelings and Zuko's smile was pricelss.
Note; Zukaang had more moments then Kataang

I liked the Finale, for the most part. I mean, the first 3/4 of it was amazing (except anything involving Aang because, once again, he was running away and avoiding responsibility and being a general pain in the a**). Great action, great animation, great music, and great character interaction.
Hmmm... I'll try to choose my favourite moments:
- The entire beginning, with the training and the beach and Zuko seeming to go insane with his attacks on Aang.
- Everything with Sokka. Everything. xD
- Toph and her crazy-awesome metalbending.
- The epic amount of Zuko/Katara interaction. Her comforting him, him choosing her to come with him, Jun teasing them, Katara finding the baby picture and squeeing over little!Zuzu, Zuko saving her life, Katara healing him, and just... gfdgs Everything! They were so fantastic together, and I say, "Screw Canon! We got so many fantastically awesome scenes with these two, and we could probably write a Zutara romance better than Bryke!" C'mon. We have depth, growth, epicness, not tacked on, thrown in kisses that don't make sense.
- Iroh/Zuko reunion. T.T
- Azula loosing her mind (even though, at the end, it was really kinda sad. D: )
Things I didn't like:
- Aang choosing the advice of a secluded Lion-Turtle over that of four highly experienced Avatars.
- Aang magically being able to activate the Avatar State. If I understand correctly, it's because his Chakra was unlocked when he was hit in just the right area of the back. And, really, it seems unfair that he can do that and still keep his attachment. D< Seriously, Bryke. I loved this series because it had consequences - you wanna mega-batshit-powerful, you gotta give up your attachment to your "Twu Wub". Not get whatever you want because your the hero.
- Aang's retarded Deux Ex Machina.
- Aang.
- Katara randomly deciding she's in love with Aang, even though she was confused, like, four episodes prior and there had been no further development of her feelings shown.
- Maiko. Seriously, what happened to Zuko dumping her in a heartless, inconsiderate way so he could go do something she viewed as a betrayal to his nation? I'm really disappointed with that. It.. It just doesn't make sense. Dx
- Where's Ursa?! What happened to Azula?! PLOTHOLES?!
So, the good outweighs the bad for the most part, but that doesn't mean I'm not incredibly disappointed, because the most important parts (Aang and Ozai and the whole Avatar State stuff) were, in my opinion, awful.
... I'll just rewatch the epic Zutara lightning scene to drown my sorrow. T.T

Maiko was kind of cute though. At least it wasn't like Kataang. Mai, the emotoionless blob, admitted her feelings. Katara seemd to have a mental stroke and was like heyy anng whats up. *kiss*

You know what I wanted that they didn't do. Zuko using his swords in an awseome battle. I loved the scene in Zuko alone where he firebends with them. But he didn't. I think that would have been totally epic though
