"Fish food. We came up to feed the fist, but Bergerac became more interested in the food, even though it's not good for her..."
Bergerac took the biscuit curiously, turning it over an dover as she stared at it. Then, she stuck it in her mouth, gumming it curiously. Varlen wasn't telling her to stop, so Bergerac continued to chew at it. "Mmmrph..."

"Okay." Kunjiro nodded at Varlen's explanation, peering at the fish food. He looked over at the pond and its fishy inhabitant, before turning his attention to Bergerac.
The boy smiled upon seeing Bergerac chewing on the biscuit. "Like biscuit? I have more, so when you finish eating, tell me if you want more," Kunjiro said, fishing out another two from his pockets. Taking off the plastic from one, he started nibbling on it while offering Varlen the other.
"Biscuit, mister?"

"I'll pass," Varlen responded, shaking his head. He cast a brief glance at Bergerac and frowned as he watched her gnaw at the biscuit, as if he disapproved of such an action, yet remained silent. At least the thing she was gnawing at was good for her, and wouldn't make her sick like the fish food would.
"Buuu?" Curiously, Bergerac took her half-gnawed biscuit out of her mouth, holding it out to Kunjiro. She wasn't really offering it to him, but saw him holding out HIS biscuit, and so was mimicking his movements.

(( sorry for ending the rp so soon, but I dunno what else to write sweatdrop Sorry... ))
Kunjiro nodded at Varlen's refusal and peered at the biscuit for a few seconds, as if not knowing what to do with it. He shrugged a few seconds later, then turned to Bergerac and blinked at her when she held out her biscuit to him. "No, biscuit for you, so you eat." Very gently, the mushroom boy pushed Bergerac's outstretched hand back with one hand, then continued nibbling on his own.
Xiao Ling appeared a moment later, holding in her arms a large stack of paper - documents, presumably. She approached the small group of three slowly, being careful not to drop the paper. As she approached Varlen she gave him an apologetic nod.
"Sorry to have you look after Kunjiro. I hope he didn't cause any trouble?"

"He didn't," the drow responded, rising and scooping Bergerac into his arms. "And now, if you don't mind, we're going to be off. I have some work I must attend to..."
Bergerac let out a squeal of surprise as Varlen picked her up, and, sensing that they were to be going soon, waved to Kunjiro. "Biiiis!"

"No I don't mind, of course. I'm here to bring Kunjiro home actually. See you again sometime," the guardian replied with a smile. She then turned to Kunjiro, who waved back as Bergerac was leaving. "Come on, we're going home now," she said.
Kunjiro took care of what remained of the biscuit, and waved back to Bergerac. "Ba-i!" He said, grinning broadly at the two before taking off after Xiao Ling.

[ The Astromony Lab ]
It was early ito the night as the trio were stargazing. Cathereine making mental notes an the star positions, then jotting them down as soon as she had the time to.
"What you doin' mama?" The tiny kid asked, sitting on a pile of books.
"Well, through the stars I can make up horoscopes." She smiled.
"Oh.. I just think they are pretty." She smiled, oblivious to the powers at work. Placing her faze towards where you were supposed to look in the telescope she smiled at all the stars up int he skys. "Mama! Look it's a big red star."
"That's mars." Baxterfullous said intellegently, looking up form a few star maps.

There was something to be said for taking naps. If you were falling asleep on your feet they were quite useful; but waking up at twilight always left Chao feeling unnaturally awake.
But whatever, being awake at night meant she had a good reason to drag Reid away from his piano and go to explore the outter, or upper in this case, regions of the HQ.
"Wow..." Reid murmured as Chao opened the door to the Astronomy Lab, eyes falling on the equipement lying about, wings flicking in curoisity. Shiny... but what was it for?
"This place really does have everything..." Chao replied, eyes also falling on the insturments. She was more a star gazer than anything but the mechanic side of her inately recognized the delicacy of the insturments. She threw Reid a look, "no using any of this stuff to make music, alright?"
Reid frowned but, recognizing his mother's warning 'I will take the piano away' tone, nodded anyway.

Baxterfullous, blinked looking up from the star maps he was taking a few notes from. "Hmm who are you?" He eyed the firefly-mishap and then his gaurdian.
Catherine blinked, turning around to wave. "Hello in the mood to stargaze?"
Aphrodite though was oblivious once more, trying her best to turn the telescope to what else she could see. "Oo.."

Blinking away from inspecting an astrolabe curiously Chao waved to the other group, "hello there. Yes, just up to inspect the area and maybe do a bit of stargazing," she replied, answering Moony's question first.
"I'm Chao and this is," she gestured to the Mishap at her side, "my son Reid."
Reid, who, upon being introduced, had waved to the group as well. Took to the air to investigate one of the larger telescopes, specificly the one that seemed to be moving on it's-no wiat. Not on it's own! With a curious tilt of his head Reid hovered down to land on the table and take a look at the pink haired something that was manuvering the telescope.
"'Lo?"

Catherine smiled a bit. "I'm Catherine." She raised her hand with a small friendly wave. "This is Bax, my friend." She gestured towards the pale catfolk. "and this is Aprhdoite." She pointed to the very tiny wasp-mishap.
Aphrodite blinked, looking over to Reid, a blush came to her cheeks as she was caught off gaurd. "He-hello!" She smiled up at him.
Bax raised his eyes, finishing his insepction and went back to his starmaps.

"It's nice to meet you all," Chao replied warmly, though she had to search a bit to notice Aphrodite. At the sight of the tiny Mishap she smiled ruefully. And Reid thought he had it bad with his height.
Reid returned the smile, sitting down to better see the smaller Mishap. Someone who was smaller than he was, who'd have thought it was possible?
"Lo' Lil'," he greeted again, torso lighting up softly beneath his shirt, "m'Reid, who're you?"

Lil? That was a new one... she liked that one more than 'Smalls'. "Aphrodite." She said simply, gigling at his glowing belly. "Look over here..." She pointed at the telescope. "You can see the stars really good- I mean really well." She smiled a bit weakly, feeling Bax's grammar gaze hit her.
Baxterfullous took a long look at Reid, so this would be one of his students. He needed to be mindful and see how he acted... since he was already making a seating chart for his class. Closing the starmap, he placed it back inside it's case. " sorry about that rude introduction." He said finally to them. "I am Baxterfullous.. I am the Magical Mishaps Magic Teacher."
Catherine nodded to Chao. "It's a pleasure to meet you as well."

"Aph-ro-diiit-e?" Reid echoed, trying out the long name, grinning a bit as he decided that he enjoyed the sound of it, even if it was a bit of a mouth full.
"Here...?" he asked and peered down as she instructed to look then blinking in surprise at the entirely new view of the stars the tiny hole gave him. "Wow... how'd the stars get in here?" weren't they supposed to be up in the sky?
"Don't worry about it," Chao nodded to Baxterfullous with a wave of her hand, they were all strangers after all. Even if they all lived (at times) in the same building.
"Aha, so you're one of the new teachers Jabir mentioned would be showing up soon?" she asked, peering at the cat man with renewed curoisity and vaguely wondering if any of the other teachers had shown up as well.

The tiny child giggled again. "The stars aren't in there.. they're still up int he sky see." She pointed towards the glass ceiling, the stars in clear veiw. " The telescope makes it easier to see them." She smiled, she like helping others leanr new things.
The tall pale catfolk nodded. "Yes, though I am unsure when classes are open, so I'm tutoring Aphrodite."
Catherine nodded. "Though it's not in magic alone, merely in all thebasics.. at least until classes start... Bax wants her to have a head start."
