Hi there!
Online, I'm Tyche Nitely, a little threadpicker and gamer.
Offline, my dog weighs more than I, but he's a such a sweetie. I'm +21, female, and in a relationship with a nice guy.
We live just minutes away from the Great Dismal Swamp, on the edge of the Pasquotank River, North Carolina, USA.
My IRL skills permit me to work on and with both Historical and just older fashions. I hope to share some of my artful efforts with you
(my Guild mates) in the near future.
Thanks for permitting me to join your guild.
All comments, gifts and Random Acts of Kindness are Most Welcome!

Hello guild! Merry Christmas!

Sadly this is the first day in seemingly months that I've had time to actually be on Gaia... So here I am.

My name is Maeran, though I go by Mae most of the time, and I'm mostly a fan of Victorian era clothing, invention, literature... nearly everything Victorian, really. I'm a bit of a steampunk, so I like my Victoriana with a dash of Sci-Fi, but that doesn't mean I like the historical aspects any less!

Nice to meet you all, and I hope.. really hope I have more time this year to participate in discussions and perhaps learn more about other eras!

Hello, I'm Ashley and it is a pleasure to meet everyone smile Thanks for accepting me into this guild, this seems like such a great club because I really like and enjoy the fashion styles of old. I truely wish that they would reappear in today's life but that is most unlikely. Oh well, I can dream sweatdrop

My favorite eras and styles are the Victorian and Edwardian era and I've always adored the elegant fashion styles of the American and French Revolution. I love the Celtic and Gothic styled buildings and I also extremely like the World world II era(both the culture and fashion). Ha hah, it seems like I like war, doesn't it? I promise I don't, I just love the time period and the way the world was back then

Sorry, I've been around but not and this is really the first chance I've had to come on this forum.

I'm Krystal, a 22 year old university student studying pre-med and psychology. History has always been an interest of mine - especially during early American period.

I hope to get to know you all!

*performes a crude bow and begins to fan myself with a stolen fan* pirate Hello. The names Cap'n SteFy Sparrow, though just SteF is fine. I am 16 years of age and a junior in high school. I am planning on a double major in college of European History and Fashion (as i could not and refuse to do just one in my future) I hope to one day work as a historian of sorts during the day and make and sell cheap, affordable quality historically correst articles of clothing (as I am one of many who loves historical clothing but cant afford them, and want to solve that problem in the future for others). I am one of those psyco people you will find walking down the street or halls who thinks its socially acceptable to go around dressed as a pirate. pirate At least once a week i will wear at least one piratical article of clothing (whether it be a bodice over a tee or the entire set-up).

That brings me to my favorite time periods and interests. I LOVE the history of pirats and piratical fashion as it requires no matching and i dont have to spent $700 on an entire gown, but can mix and match what i can get my hands on. My favorite pirate is Captain Kidd (partially because he was hanged on my birthday lol) I VERY much enjoy the 16th and 17th century. Especially the entire drama surrounding the Henry VIII and the Tudor court.

*performs another crude bow* Thank ye kindly ye fine ladies and lads fer takin' a gander at me life story. I shall now take me leave of this fine forum based establishment ^-^

heart ~Cap'n SteFy Sparrow

Hello. My name is Junie. I don't have a particular favorite, but I like things from the Victorian era. I love history, and I'm terribly sad I no longer get the History Channel crying . I am also really into pirates, fashion from all eras, and traditions and customs.

Hello! My name is Mary and I was studying to be an ancient history teacher but had to drop out due to financial, family and disability reasons. My passion is the era of the Roman Empire and crusades but I've also studied the Tudor era, British and US Maritime dress (navy, pirates ect...) in the 1700's and 1800's, British and US revolutionary uniforms, the clothing that was worn by Lewis and Clark and company during their cross country trek.

I'm also studying Arthurian Legend, Celtic and Eastern European history too so I'm all over the map lol.

Hello. I go by a variety of names, so I'll just say that I'm Jen/Kitty/Yuffie. I'm interested in almost all the time periods and am willing to learn about them. I do research on different times at random (mostly due to a book me and a friend are writing..) and I dabble in doing outfit designs, usually in the Lolita fashions. I don't know what more to say. ^^;

Yamiko
Salutations everyone. I am Yamiko, pleased to make your acquaintance. I have an interest historical literature, particularly "Dante's Inferno" and The Count of Monte Cristoe.

Sometimes, I would go to the library to peruse through historical fashion books because the outfits of the past are so interesting and pretty to look at. The Baroque paintings, architectural details, and furnishings within the Château de Versailles are very beautiful to look at in person. I can only imagine how the lifestyle might have been like.

(If I have somehow gotten my history wrong, please feel free to correct me because it has literally been several years since I last took a history course. OTL )

@Hot P!nk: Wow, reenacting piracy sounds fun!! XD

This is late and from forever ago...but...
Yes I used to date one of the pirates from one of the groups from the link I gave. But we're no longer together. D; I loved dating a pirate! Haha it's okay though.

If anyone is good at sewing and knows alot about the midieval age I would like some tips and advice and to talk to you. Please pm me if you are knowledgeable in these areas.

Hello, my name is Lydia. I love historical fashion (and...history, for that matter), and I want to be a tailor when I grow up! I love looking at historical fashion books. There is something extremely aesthetically pleasing about a long skirt swishing against one's ankles. I'm not sure I could pull off the fashion-designer-thing, but I'm definitely considering an apprenticeship with a professional costume designer.

Hello all. My name is Christine, although I will happily accept being called 'QT'. I am 17 years of age and a senior in high school. I am not an expert on times and certain fashions within certain eras. I like just about anything, though. My obsessions have ranged from Medieval to Egyptian. Modern Punk to Past Asia. I don't know where the list ends or begins. While I do find the fashions very intriguing, culture and beliefs are something that dominates my life.

As of late, the folklore of faeries has fascinated me greatly.
