Skye giggled, but she shook her head.
"Not yet!" she exclaimed, waving one finger at him to tell him she would just be a moment - and then she twirled around and grabbed the blanket, shaking it out in the air and then lowering it over Syrus and the mat. Then she knelt down and removed her sandals, setting them with Syrus's shoes, and only then did she crawl under the blanket with Syrus, snuggling right up close to him to warm herself up. She was after all wearing bare sleeves and a shortish skirt, nothing that would keep her warm in the night.
Once she was comfortable, she grinned up at Syrus and giggled. "Good?" she asked him softly. "Or am I too close?"
She could after all give him more space, the mat had room enough for it.

Syrus laughed, waiting paciently, and as she cuddled up against him, he wrapped his arms around her lightly. As she asked him her question, he pretended to think for a moment before giving her a hug by tightening his hold around her for just a brief moment.
"No, I think I'm good," he said with a smile.

Skye giggled and slipped one arm over his side, putting her hand on his back and squeezing herself tightly to his chest.
"Me, too," she smiled warmly, laying her head on the ground in just such a position as she could easily watch his face - his eyes when she was speaking to him, and his lips when he was speaking to her. They were so close that she could feel his heartbeat, and she was amazed at how her own matched it beat for beat.
She put her free hand on his chest, over his heart, and smiled up at him.
"Your heart is strong," she told him softly. "I like how it feels."

Syrus smiled, still just amazed inwardly that she cared about him seemingly as much as he did her. He never thought he'd be able to find someone so wonderful so quickly.
"Thank you," he said softly as he felt their hearts beat in rythem for just a moment longer before they split off again, as beats often do, and then go back in sync. "Your's is rather nice as well," he commented.

Skye blushed. Did he have the same sense of touch that she did, that was stronger than most others'? She had been told, once, that her oversensitivity to vibrations and movements was a result of her deafness, a counteraction of her body to make up for her missing sense ... or did others have the ability to feel heartbeats as well?
She had never asked her family that before. It was quite possible.
She smiled at Syrus. "Tristan says - Tristan is my dance teacher - she says ... that lots of practice and working out gives you a strong heart that will last for a long time," she told him softly. "And if we both have a strong heart ... then we will be able to be together for a very long time, right?"
Her smile grew wider, and she moved her hand from his chest and lay it so that that back of it was against his cheek.

Syrus smiled warmly as Skye's hand graced his cheek, listening to what she had to say intently.
"Mmm, that seems most logical, and I hope we are together for a very long time," he said softly before touching his lips to her forehead for just a brief moment.

Skye was about to agree with Syrus's words when he kissed her forehead, and she blushed faintly but did not pull away. When he pulled back again, she giggled softly and turned her hand so that she was cupping his cheek instead of brushing against it, then rubbed her thumb lightly over his lips.
"You are so sweet to me," she murmured softly, her eyes sparkling in the moonlight. "I also hope that we can be together for a very long time."
And she raised her chin and brushed her lips across his lightly, her hand moving to brush some of his hair out of the way.

Syrus did not pull away, but merely returned her kiss as her lips touched his, enjoying every moment of it.

Skye loved the warmth and the softness of his lips, and it was only with great reluctance that she broke away finally and lowered her head to his chest, putting both arms around him and holding him tightly - but not so tightly that it was uncomfortable - around his middle. She sighed happily and snuggled up against him, drawing warmth from his nearness.

Syrus sighed and smiled, keeping his eyes closed as he held onto Skye, feeling himself drifting off to sleep, even though he willed himself awake a few times, trying to hide a yawn...rather poorly.

Skye felt Syrus's yawn, though she didn't see it, for her eyes were already closed, her ear against Syrus's chest ...
She fell asleep to the beating of his heart, her eyes closed softly, her smile wide and peaceful.

As night passed Syrus by, nothing seemed to disturb him and his new girlfriend, well, until he realized he had fallen asleep with his glasses one, which he remedied quickly before falling back asleep.
As morning came, someone graced the hill where the two ate lunch the previous day. Blue eyes darted about, small golden sandles strung over her shoulder, as she had grown out of them since the last time she saw her brother and angel friend...which was yesterday, sure.
Where on earth could they be? she asked herself as she began to taverse to places near the hill and tree, and after a little bit, she found them. She was so amused by this little makeshift bed of theirs and how they clung together so adorably that she just sat down and stared at them.

As the morning sun rose, casting its light into the eyes of the young sleeping couple, the even rise and fall of Skye's chest grew slightly faster, and a yawn escaped her lips before her eyes fluttered open. She blinked a few times, getting used to the light, and then the first thing she saw - the only thing she saw and cared about - was Syrus's face, right next to hers. Slowly, she untangled her arms from his and put one hand to his cheek once more, brushing his hair tenderly out of his face.
It was the first time she had seen him without his glasses on, and she thought it made him look ... older. More mature. She giggled softly at that thought and kissed his chin, and then, completely unaware that they had an audience, she snuggled down against his chest once more to wait for him to wake up.

Alas, Syrus wasn't as graceful as Skye as he awoke. Feeling the snuggling on his chest, he made a yawning...gurgling sound, stretching bits of his body in hopes of beating the sleep away. After giving a more defined, powerful yawn, he was able to open his eyes at least halfway to look at Skye.
"G'morning" he mumbled, a tired smile on his face.
The girl just watched amused, making no sound at all.

Skye giggled, watching Syrus's wake-up routine. It reminded her of some of her siblings when they were waking up, and it didn't bother her in the least. To her, he was just being a boy, nothing more.
"Good morning," she smiled sweetly back at him, reaching for his discarded glasses and holding them out to him. "You sleep good? Not cold at all?"
