His eyes narrowed as the other man continued to insult him, touch each other when neither of them knew each other? Out of the question. Simply enough his frown set in again and he allowed an eye brow to raise, this time his cheeks didn’t flush because they were already flushed. Closing his eyes he looked to the ground, he let himself get mad at a man that obviously didn’t know anything about the Japanese culture. Simply pushing his frustration to the back of his mind that he’d deal with at a later time he simply let out sarcastic chuckle and shot him a brief smile, his voice was gentle enough not to reveal his frustration, ”Don’t worry about it Hayasha, it’s my fault.” Looking down for a moment before back up with a content grin across his lips, ”I’m still getting used to other cultures etiquette.” Pausing he thought about just letting the other mans accidental insults go, but he figured he’d use the man’s manners against him, ”I suppose other cultures are more lax in conversation.” Waving his hand beside his head he looked off with a chuckle, then put his hand on his hip and let his other fall to his side.
He decided to let his insult sink in, and let it sting a bit more as he simply moved on like he hadn’t insulted him at all, ”What field?” Looking around almost as if he were looking for an answer his anger was completely washed away, he had his revenge even though it was subtle it allowed him to cool off extremely quickly. Then he looked back to the man with a friendly smile, ”Um… I guess I never really thought about it.” He lied, he actually knew that first squad fit him perfectly; it would allow him to practice devotedly to the way of Bushido (way of the warrior). It felt so perfect, each attack was meant to kill, to end the fight with each attack… perfection at its maximum.

Hayashi sighed as he knew Kara was mad, "I'm sorry I wasn't born in Japan. I was born in America and moved to Japan when I was 14 so I only got to spend a few months there before I died" Hayashi said looking at Kara, "Well my purpose for coming here has been completed" Hayashi said as he let out a slight smile a little disappointed that he had in fact angered his hopeful friend. "Yeah back in the US we don't usually bow we shake or high five" Hayashi said accepting the insult figuring he did deserve it after how he so blatantly insulted Kara's. Hayashi smiled weakly as he disappeared off to continue his work and trying to set his plan into motion

Once the man disappeared after what he said… his facial expression was what made Kara feel bad. Yeah he was short tempered and he didn’t normally let things go unless he had his revenge, he felt bad; though the man was somewhat arrogant he was observant enough to notice Kara’s annoyance. Quickly he reach out to where the other man once stood, ”WAIT!” He jumped forward and jogged slowly directly forward hoping he could catch the man before he complete disappeared. Stopping he let his arm drop and he looked to the ground frustratedly he kicked at the ground biting his bottom lip. stupid… I was so rude… I was dishonorable to an elder… Shaking his head Kara turned back to the captains office and waited that perhaps the other man would return so that at least Kara could apologize, and this time… not in vein.

Daven arrived back in his office and saw Kara waiting for him.
Daven invited him in and listened to what he had to say. But there wasn't a lot of time to spend on it since there was a ton of things to deal with since the battle had happened.
He took Kara's report and sent him on his way.
He turned his attention to the reports waiting for him.
(( This is your opportunity to just say what you need to and to leave. ))

Onalim was grateful for everything and to everyone who had come to save her and Yuki; that was for certain. There was a diffrent air about her, something that made a clear diffrence. The illness she had been feeling earlier, before she was taken; was no absent. She was now flowing with energy, planning with her Vice for squad events... but there was on thing she was meaning to do still-and that was to personally thank someone in particular.
She walked bare foot towards the office of Daven Moto, Captain of 1st squad. In her left hand hung a ceramic tea pot of seagreen, steaming from its spout. Inside, a fragrant green tea with a hint of lavender. Soothing herbs. She knew how stressed he must be at this time, and if he wasn't present in his office, she would leave the pot; which was embossed with fourth squads symbol. In her right hand, was three matching teacups, also embossed. One for her and one for him, and one in case someone else showed up. It was her typical Geisha mind at work. Always be prepared.
She walked, her captains cloak placed over a Kimono of slate grey with a cascading waterfall down the thigh, with an obi matching the green foliage the waterfall fell from but with threads of gold stitched in. She walked up to Davens door and stood a quiet moment, before she reached out and knocked three times.

Daven was finishing up some paperwork when he felt Onalim's reiatsu on the other side of the door.
"Please come in." he said as her knuckles descended for the second time.

Onalim's knuckles ceased to contact the doorframe, and she took a breath, before tossing her brown and golden hair out of her face and kneeled at the door, sliding it open and giving a low bow. "Good day Captain." She said, picking up her things and standing, stepping inside and then, kneeling again to slide the door shut. If only her 'Mother' was alive to see her following Geisha tradition. She then stood and smiled to him. "I hope I am not disturbing you..."
She lifted the teapot and teacups. "I have brought some tea for you." She said with a slight singsong voice. "I know when I a tired from a day or work, I prefer to sit back and drink tea in the presence of others..." She said, waiting for a verbal or physical cue for her to step up and start her usual.

Daven stepped away from his desk. He bowed formally to her and invited her into the room.
He offered her a seat, which she refused, insisting that he take it, which he refuses as protocol dictated.
Finally the two of them were settled and she started the Cha No Yu.
Through the tea ceremony, Dave rested and admired her grace and poise. He knew that she had gone through a lot, and he had heard rumors about some of what had happened to her, and he admired the grace she moved with despite those wounds.
It would be impolite for him to bring this up to her now. So he was content to relax and admire the Tea she was serving to him in thanks.
It was a ceremony that he fit into like he was coming home. It took him back to when he was a pup and things were all new.

Onalim had never been more pleased with anyone in soul society. Not only did this all come naturally to him, but he was almost-the perfect contributer. She was immediately charmed. As much as she followed the geisha code, she was instantly infatuated. Since her being Captain, she had not sat down with him before, and now she hesitated to speed it along. "I wanted to thank you personally Captain Daven." She started, looking coyly down at her tea cup... her brown doe eyes deep in thought. At her side, Shika brought comfort to her, tied against her Obi...
"I started to lose hope when I was over there, because no matter what..." She paused. "...Hogosha says, he is only out to torture me for being betrothed to his brother and not him; in my human life... I am assured that I would be dead if I had stayed much longer." She sounded a bit nervous. "And... It hurt to see Yuki there... a product of revenge... It was all so tormenting.'
She looked up with a smile on her face now. "But now that I am home again, I feel so much closer to everything and everyone... I think that i am finally prepared to achieve Bankai...'

Daven considered her words.
"Please, there is no thanks necessary. You are a Captain under my command. Of course I would mobilize the Society to rescue you and Yuki. That rescue had to go faster becasue of you." He hesitated a bit. "Forgive me for being blunt, but while your specialty is healing, I didn't think that you were in a mental or physical condition to withstand torture. So I made sure that you were exposed to that for as little as possible."
Daven noted that she was serenity itself, no moving, fussing or fidgeting, in short, she was the perfect hostess of a Cha. He felt his wa coming back to him in her presence.
"Is there anything you wish to talk to me about? I'm a sympathetic ear if you want it."

Onalim had to give him props, he was speaking the truth. She nodded, knowing that by her being one of the meekest and -perhaps even the weakest of all the captains, she would have broken easily. "I know. I am shamed to be so weak..." She said, though in reality she wasn't bashing herself, but rather stating a fact. "My job will never to be stronger than anyone else, but to heal them as quickly as I can... and effectively as possible... Even if it means my own life." She said, setting her tea down and placing her hands on her thighs, smoothing the Kimono down with her fingertips.
"Actually, yes... there is something I would like to talk about..." She said, looking at the rising steam. "I want to learn Bankai...so next time something like that happens again I can be... stronger. I wanted to ask..." She paused, a tint of red coming to her cheeks. "If you'd be willing to teach me..."

Daven had been expecting the question, and so he didn't hesitate when she asked.
"Of course I will. I would be honored," he said as he bowed to her.
"It is no shame to be unsuited for combat. Standing on the front lines and having people attack you is a true test of the spirit. All I ever ask from anyone, be they my Captains or my squad members, is that they use their tools to the best of their ability. In your case, your tool is to repair those who do stand on those front lines.
"I know that is actually harder than many other people understand, since you give part of yourself to those you heal. And it is hard to watch someone you were just healing get up and go back to get injured again. It is one reason I have never tried to censure you in your duties or make it obvious that I was protecting you, because I know you see other's injuries as injuries to yourself."
Daven contemplated the glaze on the cup for a while. He looked into his soul to see what he wanted to say and just how to say it.
"Truth be told, I don't envy your gifts Oni-chan. You have it much harder, the waiting. You also have the problem of helplessness in that you can't do anything but fix people. If you are attacked, then you have problems since it is unlikely that you can defend yourself. I will help you change that, I swear it by my tails."
He felt very comfortable with her. As comfortable as he would with any number of the Geisha in the Kitsune Court. The peace she radiated soaked into his soul and allowed him to relax all the more.

The joy radiating from her upon his words was evident. Her face lit up and her eyes sparkled. "You will!" She said, her eyes dancing before him like a festival welcoming home a battle front. She was so happy and excited at the same time. Already, she could feel her weapon at her side becoming excited too. She had to keep her cool though. "I would be honored as well, to be taught by the great Captain Daven Moto.'
"And yes... it is sometimes difficult. Especially with my vow to never use Kidou in attack but only in healing..." She said, smiling widely. "In achieving bankai I will be able to defend myself while keeping to my promise. I am so honored Captain..." And with this she bowed to him greatly.
She then sat up and with a grin picked up her tea cup and held it out to him for a toast. "I owe soul society my life and in return I will repay them all in becoming stronger...."

"Of course I will." He laughed a little. "There should have been no question about that."
When she surged to her feet, he stood and went over to a sideboard. He opened it up and asked a Fire Elemental to wrap around the flask within. After a few moments, he came back to her.
"If we are going to toast like gaijin, then let's use alcohol like they do." He handed her a cup and poured some hot saki into it.
"Kampai!"

Tadashi walked up to his captain's office door and knocked on it 3 times.
"Sir. I hope Im not intruding in anything. I have a special request I would like to ask you." Tadashi said solemnly.
Tadashi brushed his hair back show more of his eyes. He indeed needed a haircut but that wasn't what he wanted. He wanted to challenge Yuushi Moto for her seat. He was worried that the captain might decline because it was her daughter, but Tadashi had gathered enough strength, courage, and determination to challenge her.
