"Ah Dia, it's good to see you. I am just having a look around my city, hoping to find something more amusing to do than sit in the castle. Have you heard though," Adel began with a cruel smile, "the Queen of the Water Kingdom is coming to visit us. Isn't it delightful? Would you like to be there when I welcome her personally? I mean after all, you have done much for me in the past; both as an entertainer and as an agent."

Ah, something more amusing was it? Well, she, for one, certainly had a hunch about what sorts of entertainment the King migth find outside of the castle and that cruel smile of his, trademark, certainly did nothing to disprove her thoughts. "...the Queen of the Water Kingdom is coming to visit us. Isn't it delightful? Would you like to be there when I welcome her personally? I mean after all, you have done much for me in the past; both as an entertainer and as an agent." The maroon haired woman rose a brow and offered a smile of her own. A visit, how exciting and Dia, for one, certainly enjoyed being in the King's good ranks.
"As always, my liege, it would be my pleasure. I suppose you would be putting on a show in the Queen's honor wouldn't you? If there is anything I can do, for you, and for the good Queen... as always." She felt a spark of excitement rise, whatever the King had planned that he would summon the Water Queen here would be a spectable. And, although she had not come to the Kingdom a cruel, unmerciful woman, she couldn't deny that years of having indulged within the Dark Kingdom fueled such feelings, coupled with her loyalty to the King and his own desires.

Alaura felt a deep unrest stirring within the very bowels of her mind. She could be drained to within an inch of her life and still she would hear and feel what the forest around her had to say. What it saw and felt it communicated to her, becoming her eyes and ears. Thus she pushed herself up and forced herself to stand as steady as she could manage, looking forward as the illusion fell away and revealed her home in the trees. Her men, those that remained, bustled about. The fifty strong they had once been was now smaller than before. Her eyes grew sad at the thought of the men she had lost, those that would have to be given proper burial in this land away from home. Her attention was broken, however, as she spotted the odd woman harassing her men and Seth. Without hesitation she shuffled forward as quick as possible.
The men disbursed upon Alaura's orders. They were, above all else, loyal to Alaura. The strange woman, evidently having been afforded clemency by Seth, now walked towards Alaura offering thanks and coin. Alaura did not bother with the coin, shaking her head. "I need no compensation for the task that I have done. Whatever it is that brought you here is your own business. However, it is not Seth who runs this camp. Those men, those homes built by the earthen warriors, are under my command. You may have impressed him, or even convinced him for the time being that you will do no harm, but I am not so easy to trust, and neither are my men. You will be afforded shelter and a meal for tonight, but beyond that I will promise nothing."
Her words, though spoken in a blunt manner, were not meant to be cruel. She was truthful, inspite of how rude it may often seem. On top of that, of course, she was exhausted and not truly in the right mood to humour others. She paused for a moment, realizing the woman had also asked her name. She gazed directly into the woman's eyes, fixing her with that intense stare that gave Alaura an almost dark appearance. "I am Alaura Daluna from the Earth Kingdom and member of this resistance." Without another word she moved on, trying to stand tall but knowing that she still looked as weak as she felt. She knew she would once again need help getting into her home above the ground, but she refused to bother asking, at least for now.

}~{ Sorry for not posting as Crystal sooner. I think I meant to but forgot about it. }~{
Crystal nodded to Seilynn, happy that she had been able to help, even if it was only a little. She walked along with the woman, following the road which seemed never to split off. It was almost as if the road were leading them where they needed to go. The odd thing was, upon arriving to the city the road had been occupied by many people. Not crowded, but enough to prove that the place was still inhabited. Here there weren't any signs of life other than the two women.
Crystal could smell the air, hear the sounds around her. She could trace any signs of life, big or small, by the electrical currents that ran through their body. However, despite all of her skills she felt utterly blind for the first time in a long time. A tiny morsel of fear gripped at her heart, threatening to grow larger and consume her. For comfort she turned to look at Seilynn, taking comfort in the sight of the woman's vague form traced by the currents that ran through her entire body. It reassures the girl that she had not lost her skills. Being truly blind, without any means of sight, truly scared the child.

Nicki actually laughed, a genuine sound that was so rare for the cruel woman. It wasn't her usual laugh, which was mocking and sharp. No, this one seemed altogether different and, from her lips, utterly inhuman. It was a strange sound that surprised even she, though she would never have shown it. To see Nicolai acting thus, and speaking as if he had never cared for the boy, it was all rather amusing to Nicki. She had thought the air user warm, thus her constant distance from him, never getting closer than was needed. However, his lack of remorse for the loss of the boy caused Nicki to see him in a new light.
One delicate eyebrow lifted as she spotted the odd look in his eyes. He seemed uncomfortable, in a manner, something he had never seemed to be around Nicki. Despite how others reacted to her, Nicolai had never shown the same fear towards her. Now, however, something had changed him and he seemed awkward around her. This amused her further, causing her ever present grin to widen.
"Come now, Nicolai, spit it out already. Is it really so hard to ask someone such a simple question?" Now she truly was mocking him, being her usual self. She walked over to the boy, standing next to him. It didn't matter that she was older, she still didn't reach his height. She wasn't an overly tall woman, but as history had proven she didn't need to be. She was imposing inspite of her height. She had lingered at his side for only a moment before moving on down the hallway, glancing over her shoulder once. "Are you coming?" She inquired in an almost friendly tone, or at least friendly compared to her usual cruel manner.

Damien watched as Seth moved away from Vivian, leaving Damien only a few feet behind the woman, to speak to a woman who had seemed to be bothering some earth soldiers. It seemed the woman was likely from the Air Kingdom, which caused Damien to frown in confusion. As this woman brought her knife to Seth's back Damien took a tentative step forward, stopping himself before he did something rash and gripping his sword should he need it. He did not like to harm women, however he couldn't simply stand idly by while she did as she pleased. However, it seemed that she would do no harm, at least for now, and a wary Damien stood back once more.
His attention was torn as a scene befell his eyes he had never thought possible. Glorious houses seemed to have been built well over the forest floor, however they were not natural homes. These homes were built not on the trees but were actually made of the trees. It seemed as if Mother Nature herself had shaped the trees into many homes, built to house the soldiers that now seemed apparently visible. These men all seemed to, at one point or another, turn and look out into the woods. Damien followed their gazes until his eyes landed on a woman. She seemed terrifying and wonderful all at once. Her white hair fell about her and, though her fatigue was obvious, she seemed strong nonetheless.
He wasn't so far away and thus was able to hear when the air woman, Celia she claimed herself to be, spoke to this white haired woman. The woman returned with an almost cruel nature, and yet Damien felt riveted to her words. He felt himself drawn to her, and suddenly he thought he understood why. As she spoke her name he knew he must speak with her. This was the Alaura that seemed to have her name on everyone's lips. What was it about her that drew in so many? There was just something about her. In any case, Damien could not stop his own feet which now moved as if of their own free will toward the woman now walking away.

Sadness, anger and unease. Celia could feel it all in the woman as she pocketed the coins she had offered, no need to waste a good bit of gold if the woman hadn't wanted it. She listened to the woman, not dismissively and although to shallow ears those words had seemed a little bit spiteful and unwelcome, Celia did not doubt she was unwelcome she could tell that the woman cared not for whatever impression Celia wanted to take of her. Celia matched Alaura's intense emerald gaze, full of passion and life with her own hazy pastel blue ones, stamped out of feeling but yet still so intense in their own way. Unfazed and expressionless and then back to her light hearted mocking self, she shifted aside for Alaura to move on.
"I'm sure, as much power as you hold in these parts, it does not bode ill, nor seem weak to your men if you would allow yourself to show your fatigue. And while it may not be my place to say, I'm sure it is not out of your place to allow yourself abit of assistance, and perhaps not have to deal with any troublesome people like me or even others with better intentions than myself... yet" she spoke, shooting a glance to the blond haired paladin as he approached the battle beaten woman. In his white garb and his whole aura of good will, he was enough to convince Celia that this man could very possibly be from the light kingdom, yet she sensed no spark of active power in the man and could only conclude he was of the Knorth kingdom.
Celia herself had a very rude pattern of speech, and thus made herself far more enemies than she needed, although she very rarely meant any more ill will than abit of childish fun. She busybodied in other peoples businesses, subtly made comments that were probably known to others subconciously without her needing to mention it and turned people on herself as easily as it took her to breath. She hummed to herself merrily, it would've been easy to put on a farce of aristocratic politeness, but then again, it wasn't as if she made very many good impressions in her trade anyways. Besides, of course, dealing with a few unwanted mice.
Celia laughed. Even the do-gooder paladins wouldn't want anything to do with her vileness, even if she stood not on the side of darkness. Although a part of her didn't mention that minute spark of wanting a few friends and allies who wouldn't take her words for their face value. But those kinds of feelings were just troublesome, and so, allowing herself a moment to nurse those forgotten feelings, she would then put them away again and not mind them anymore.

Perhaps it would hurt you less than you think to attempt to earn the trust of those around you."Evan had come up behind the woman and noticed the tone of her voice. one thing he had learned well was to read between the lines."May I present myself, and my companion, to the leader of this camp. Evan Hammerfist and Ryal Aren, the last survivors of the first battle between the Fire Kingdom and the Knorth, our home."

"Such statements could easily be mistaken for ungratefulness, although I'm quite sure you didn't mean it that way. Perhaps it would hurt you less than you think to attempt to earn the trust of those around you."
Hearing a voice behind her, Celia raised a brow and turned around to find the face of her critic. She had been just mildly surprised, instead, to come face to face with a half man half hedgehog creature with another cross breed male. Closing her eyes a moment Celia scoffed. "Perhaps, good sir, whether they're mistaken or not is of no consequence to me. And should you wish to present yourself to the great lady of this resistance, you should chase after her and make for your good manners there, rather than wasting them on a, not, what did they call me?" She took a moment, as if pretending to recall and insult she had recently suffered and smiled "Ah, yes, a disrespectful little ingrate."
She did, however, appreciate the man's recognition, or maybe he had just said so for the sake of reprimand rather than recognizing any trace of sentiment. Brushing her long silver-blue hair over her shoulders, she shrugged and prepared to take off. She'd been offered shelter and a meal, and Celia would be more than a fool to turn down hospitality in the face of it. And surely, it couldn't hurt to take a look around this curious encampment, but she could be sure she certainly wasn't welcome and wouldn't move around without scrutiny and a close eye on everything she did.

Damien slowed as he spotted the white haired woman. She had stopped as she addressed by the air woman who had caused Damien to be wary. His hand still rested on the hilt of his adamantine blade. Just as he came upon the two, another pair joined them. They both struck him as very odd, but Damien pushed aside all other thoughts when he heard their words. Men from the Knorth Kingdom, like himself. A rather boyish grin spread over his lips, a charming smile that could put ease to even the most troubled minds. Without hesitation or worry he stepped forth, interjecting himself steadily into the conversation.
"Ah, men from the Knorth. I daresay you are most welcome, though I am sorry to say it is not my place. I, too, hail from that great land. I suppose we haven't yet left it's borders, though." This last part was more of a spoken thought and those ocean blue eyes turned to the ground for a moment as Damien became lost in his own mind. It only lasted a moment before he turned his gaze up once more, however, letting it fall on the rather strong presence that had come. The white haired woman with her eyes like two gems had stepped into the group, standing still despite her obvious fatigue and watching with eyes that seemed to bore into one's very soul. She seemed terrifying and yet Damien was raptured. Never before had he seen a woman as strong and yet delicate as she.
Without thought he felt compelled by some unknown force. His legs bent and Damien knelt before the woman, bowing his blonde head in reverence. It was a rare thing to see the knight so utterly humbled and silenced. He knelt there, likely looking the fool, but caring nothing for what others might have thought of him.
Alaura was forced to stop, turning about to face the air woman as she spoke. She would have replied, though in a rather irritated manner in her exhausted state, but someone else spoke before she had the chance. A man, or rather half a man. He had been somehow mixed with a hedgehog, giving him an odd appearance. Intrigue brought Alaura's steps closer as she overheard his words to the woman, with silent glee ringing through her. It was nice to see another speaking up instead of herself. As the woman spoke once more, Alaura made her presence altogether known, though she noted that a blonde man had already spotted her.
"I believe he spoke to me." She said from behind the air woman, stepping forward to be quite visible to the small group that had gathered. Despite how tired and in need of a good rest she was, she refused to turn in just yet. She had been wearing herself rather thin lately, something that was quite dangerous no matter who you were, but still she had enough left in her. More than anything it was determination that drove her. In any case she turned her eyes on the two men who had come together. Her gaze shifted as the Paladin spoke, then turned to her and knelt as if she were royalty.
Stepping lightly on the ground, as was her custom, Alaura moved to the man and knelt down carefully. She lifted his chin with a delicate hand so that his ocean eyes stared into her own emerald hues. "Please, do not bow before me. I am but another being fighting for freedom, nothing more or less. I am no one you should lower yourself before." The lightest of smiles graced her lips for the briefest of moments, met by the man's charming grin in return. Together they stood, though Alaura seemed a little shakey. The man gripped her arm, faking a chivalrous gesture to mask his aid for her. It seemed he understood her desire for a strong appearance and would do his part to keep up the act, even if they all knew she felt utterly weak.
Pulling herself free of the Paladin, Alaura turned her gaze back to the man who had declared himself Evan. "I welcome you, Evan and Ryal, to the this humble camp." Her arm swept out, indicating the houses in the trees. "As it seems that you have come at a rather difficult time for me, I'm afraid I cannot say more than you may be offered the same as this woman, food and shelter. Kindness from the Earthen soldiers I cannot promise, for I myself am still unsure of you. Perhaps that will change, in days to come, should you choose to join us. However, for the time being, I must bid you a good night." And with that she moved to turn, stopping mid-pivot to look at the Paladin. "And you, knight?" She questioned.
He seemed awstruck, an odd thing Alaura thought given her rough appearance. However, he soon found his words and explained his intentions to speak with her. With a sigh she agreed. "Walk with me and we shall speak briefly. I would prefer if we saved this for the morrow, but I will allow a short meeting as it won't hinder me to converse on my way to my own treehouse." Damien, much obliged, insisted on taking her arm in the manner any gentleman might have done with a lady. A rather begrudged Alaura forceably accepted and the two began to walk of slowly with Damien introducing himself.

Celia chuckled to herself and smiled bitterly. This woman was it? Charmed, but then again, she did bring it upon herself most of the time. Nobody to be bitter at but herself. Nevermind, it only made her own lack of humanity all the more bearable. For now, Celia found herself wandering away from the campsite, not comfortable finding herself surrounded by so many people. Although she hadn't a single chance to get a hold of it, the knife she had deposited into Keyla's temporary possesion was back in her belt and Celia left to find a isolated place to think.
She'd wandered for a short while before she came across a small pond with a rock at the waterside almost as if it'd been placed for the very purpose of sitting on. Depositing herself by the waterside, Celia pulled off her shoes and rolled up her pants as far as she could. Setting them beside the rock, she sat down against the smooth back and dipped her legs into the cool water with a sigh. Closing her eyes, she let her muscles relax and the cool water of the pond roll over her legs.
Opening her ears, Celia let the sounds of the forst wash over her. She hadn't walked too far a distance but had gone far enough so that the camp grounds were barely a murmur to her keen ears. The forest was stilled, as if resting after a great battle, and the day was getting late. She had wanted to close her ears off to moans of suffering but even in relaxation Celia had to keep a part of her alert.

Raphael leapt the small distance between the train and the platform, the blue of his uniform easily blending in with that of his former fellow Guard. No one would question his presence when he was dressed as he was. He kept his eye level enough to scan his surroundings, to make sure he wasn't being followed by any who would know of his desertion.
With mild ease he disappeared into the crowd and was gone until he came to a stop at the familiar entrance to his former Queen's castle. His mind was on auto-pilot until such a time, his eyes examining the gates carefully. "Tonight.... my beloved Queen... you face execution." he whispered, lowering his eyes in respect before taking the last few steps towards the gate.
_______
Vivian clenched her hands into fists, resisting the urge to floor the air user for putting a knife to her most beloved's back. Her jaw was tight, her mind replaying it in her head. It made her oh so very angry to imagine him at another's mercy.
Her mind moved to another place, another time. The reason she'd left the careful shelter of her father.
"I hate you!!! I hope you rot in Hell!"
She shivered in remembrance, her worry back in full force. What would these people face over her? She started to back slowly away, her own inner turmoil boiling but not enough to break through.

Images ran through his head like a black & white horror movie with scenes missing. Flashes of the past and what he had seen flashed before his eyes. Xavier woke in a cold sweat and a loud gasp, clutching his chest as he winced in pain. Sitting there for awhile, he soon came to realise he was in a dense forest with barely any sunlight shining through. Leaning agaisnt the tree as he stood up, Xavier began to walk in a random direction but stopped abruptly when he stood on a sharp rock. "Dammit! Forgot I didnt have any shoes on..." He started off again, this time limping and cursing underneath his breathe

Aria walked the hallfs of the water palace with light sweeping steps. Her long flowing gown just barely kept from dragging on the ground. The white, emerald and gold combination wasn't an outfit that the light priestess made a habit of wearing, however for a formal hearing with the water queen nothing less than the best was expected. Of coures, Queen Laticia had already made it clear to Aria that they were on close enough terms that Aria could put aside the formalities. However, for an official report, Aria expected no less of herself than to follow customs.
Aria had arrived a few weeks prior to help tend to wounded water soldeirs and occasionally cast support magic on the field. Although, most of the fighting tended to center around the Knorthian kingdom and the Dark kingdom, therefore the palance had been a fairly tame place. By the time she had neared the halls of the royal chambers, Aria began to notice an uncomfortable number of guards beginning to increase. Approaching an anxious guard, the light priestess tapped his soldier.
"Excuse me, would be so kind as to inform me as to why there is an increased number of guards around her Highness's the queen's palace halls?"
The guard pasued and shuffled a moment, as if debating whether to tell Aria or not, but in her short stay she'd already become quite well known around the place. Coming to a conclusion, the man straightened his stance and his hand tightened around his weapon, making Aria feel uneasy. "A report has come from the light kingdom that attack has been planned on the queen. The palace is no longer a safe place, we request you stay in your room where the guards may keep an eye on you" Letting a small gasp escape, Aria brought a hand to her lips. Of all the rulers to attack, why the Water Queen? Surely the Dark Lord knew that aggravation of the water kingdom was far from wise? This Ludicrus war. Shaking her head, the light preistess did not need th guard's words. She could look after herself... and she needed to find Flint. Maybe get ot the queen while she was at it.

Keyla soon got up. For some reason, she felt unable to stay around the camp for long right now so she decided to take a walk and clear her head. There were too many new folks around. She took off without a word to any of them, thinking she would be back before they noticed anyway. As she walked, she was lost in thought for a while, not really paying attention to where she went but as she came out behind some trees, she caught the sound of someone cursing and looked up, being snapped out of her thoughts. In pure instinct, she jumped behind a tree again, trying to hide before she saw who it was. She took a step out again. "Xavier?" She walked a little closer. She could tell by the way he had moved he was hurt. "Are you alright?" Stupid question but it was her nature to ask anyway.
Seilynn looked around and sighed. The silence on the road and the emptiness was slowly driving her made. Seilynn had never been much for silence unless it was absolutely necessary. She glanced at the young girl that now accompanied her and smiled. To Seilynn, Crystal was a little odd. It didn't seem like she gave much care about anything and Seilynn was also confused as to why her eyes were so very hard to read, almost as if emotions couldn't reach them, as if they were dull. Seilynn shrugged this off and looked forward again, thinking for another moment. She was glad as they reached a crossroad, actually pointing out which road to take depending on the kingdoms. She found a sign saying 'Light Kingdom' and her face brightened. She turned to Crystal. "How would you feel about a change of plans?" she asked the girl and glanced at the sign again. "Is it okay if we take a detour to the light kingdom first?" Seilynn hoped it was because she really wanted to just see her hometown again before going on a long trip.
