I think English is better term. Because then we have the witches from non-witch families like Len, Tabby, and Tritch.

Can we make a rule stating you can only have a character in one place at a time? I thought it was pretty standard and self regulating but I'm finding several characters in multiple places at once and it's getting rather frustrating. The possibility of running into yourself or someone you were just with running into you after you went somewhere else is large and unhelpful to the RP process. Unless you have copies of yourself, of course like Len, this shouldn't be possible. I understand it for the purpose of the Events Threads that are separate, but at the same time, if your character is off campus on a field trip, why would you be posting in the cafeteria? It makes no sense to me but I've accepted that aspect. It's just lately, I try to find certain people and they're everywhere (and by everywhere I simply mean more than two places actively.) If people are having a hard time getting their character into a RP, then make another character to go somewhere else rather than just posting the same person all over in hopes of snagging someone.

Also, if you posted in one place and didn't get any interaction, can we have people post [Awaiting Interaction (date)] to know they're still there or can we make sure posts are edited to reflect that they've left? There are so many open ended RPs going on in some areas and I don't know if someone is waiting on a afk reply or they've both quit the guild or just moved to another thread.

Okay I'm going to do this bit by bit.

I understand the idea of only of having one character in one place. And I have seen issues with it. Though in return I also would like to not get bored waiting (No everyone as multi characters). When I created the guild the idea was that there was one in the timeless RP (All but event) and one for each event.Of course like the event idea with the field-trip is an issue like everything else and again the regular forums are timeless so they don't have a set date like the event so it's not necessarily the same time.
As for people who make open ended RP post I have seen a lot of them along the lines of this 'Blah blah walked in and looked around. She saw a few people chatting and sat down'. My issue with that is that they didn't get up and start talking to maybe one or two people. They didn't take that step to go the extra mile. Now I'm not saying that every shy character has to do that. Shy people avoid contact. They could however walk into the room and fall flat on their face while walking by.
I would like a little feedback before I make the rule. I think this is a rule should have something up about it.

I understand the concept of making sections "timeless." It would allow for RPers to move time forward at will with little consequence. The distinction needs to be made though that you can't have your character exist in two points of time at the same time (unless you have a time machine...Tempus, lol.). Yes, you may have decided that what your character is doing in the auditorium happens after what you're doing in your dorm room, but don't role play them at the same time. You don't necessarily know what the out come of the dorm section will be, and you wouldn't want your roommate to leave and immediately find you already deep in conversation in the auditorium when he gets there.

The "Walked in and sat down" posts I don't mind. It's when they do that and they're the only person in the thread. If the post was made a week ago, I don't know if that person is still waiting or has moved on and forgotten all about posting there. That's where the edits would be nice to say you are still waiting for someone to role play with, or you've moved on. I did this in the dance hall and it worked out well.

I'm confused now. To make sure we're talking about the same thing (Because I'm not sure at this point). Are you talking about one in timeless and one in the event?

Time machines have always been the best for this stuff :'D

No I'm talking about multiples in the 'timeless' areas. I don't like that you can be in an event and in the regular threads, but I understand it for the sake of having events.

I understand that part, but there are those in the regular threads who are waiting on other people to post, and they really don't want to change their post especially if they are in the middle of 'in character' conversations.
Or sitting in a certain bar

The change is only if the act is over. Like, if you had an on-going role play and you and another were posting back and forth but then one of you suddenly stopped. If that person is on a long hiatus or left the guild, shouldn't you edit your post to reflect that that section of role play is over? Other wise you're sitting there waiting for someone to interrupt an activity that will never happen. I'm not talking about if it's been a day or two, but I mean over a week. If it's been that long, it'd just be nice to tag the latest post with "Waiting on [Insert Gaia Name Here]" or "Done, moved to [Insert Location Here]". I think it'd be better to do that than just post all over all willy-nilly like.

And I'm working on the bar @_@ I keep hoping everyone I'm talking to will reply and I can knock out replies all at once...but it doesn't seem to be working!

Is it alright if I drop an old dead character? He hasn't interacted with anyone active in a few months so he has no real use.

Yes you may. You can even put a story to it if you want. Or since it's summer in the RP you can relate that to something.

I think I'll have him mysteriously disappear into the Dark Forest, never to be seen again...
