[ah crap... are we allowed to keep trying even with a negative HP? lol silly girl]
Chiyoko wasn't sure what was going on anymore, and no one had offered any explanations. No one even spoke after the boy had managed to get himself up, that is until a rough looking man appeared. Once he had though... the entire realm started going crazy, filling with noises and yells of the demons trying to make their way past the group and out the way the others had came in. Nothing was making any sense to the girl at all and she could feel her heart picking up pace as the fear started sinking in that she wasn't going to find a way out. She was already weak from trying to fight the one demon that the boy had been trapped in, and once the demons started going crazy, the girl didn't have enough power left in her to defend herself as they started fighting their way around to try and escape themselves. The combination of fear, the disappointment in herself for not trying harder, and the fact that the demons weren't going to let anything stop them from getting out overwhelmed the girl and as she started getting thrown around and beaten, tears began streaming down her face once again, "This Jio tried hard..." she thought before the realm started spinning and everything turned black.

((Oh no, My partner is down and i dont think ill even make it either . When he was "dead" he had sort of a out of body expirience, he went to like limbo thats why i described it so differently from the realm we at.))
A real Meho warlord was in front of him and Tsuigi's blood was filled with determination now. That was how a Meho was suppose to behave, that was a real warrior and the boy wanted into that, wanted to become that and wanted to beat that. The challenge was on for himself but first he would have to escape this wretched place. Just as the horrible sound subsided the horde of tormented souls charged their way " You got to be kidding me." Turning towards the treshhold of worlds they had created Tsuigi went full power ahead thinking only of escaping this nightmare-like place.

((Oh My GOD i did it!!! Is there anyway i can try to save Chiyoko from the other side of the gate? Maybe like pass her part of my energy somehow? since where are to become Partners, one halve of the other and stuff? Or maybe try something with my sword?))
His body although scared and willing to go as far as survival demanded, wasnt exactly top shape. His wound lowered he space and the hordes where gaining up on him. The blade on his back didnt help at all but before giving it up he would preffer to become a prisoner of the stupid demon here. " If i ever get out of here Alive i swear im going to Kill you all." His wooden sandals no longer made any noise as the echo of their steps where nothing compared to the noise of all those wraiths and souls coming at them. Tsuigi for some reason couldnt go through the gateway and the treshhold seemed to absorb his energies somehow. This position was making him nervouse as he had never been before, in just a few hours, all his plans had been changed by these strangers and now he was about to loose it all. Even the girl he had saved had been knocked out by the gate and sincerely Tsuigi began to think he had wasted yet again his abilities saving her. His only good deed in his whole life, his only selfless act and it was for nothing, just so they both could die here.

Zoku watched as the strange girl mumbled and began to pry open the teeth of the wraith's stomach. The way this girl went about it made much more send than pounding in the teeth like Zoku was trying. Stepping back, the girl released Seiko from the demon's cage. As the boy rolled out and nodded his head to Zoku in thanks, a faint smile turned her usual frown upwards. The Meho girl hadn't smiled often, but lately it seemed she was smiling due to Seiko. When she had been with her family, she never smiled. This new family was something else! Quickly, she tried to wipe away her smile as she heard the struggles of Tomoko batting away demons. As she rose her eyes up from the ground where she normally stared, Zoku finally got to see the real Meho Warlord as he approached the group.
It was like falling in love at first sight. Meho Dhan, the wielder of Ikatsui-Ago walked upright with the no longer empty and starved eyes, but the piericing strong gaze of a taker of lives. His tone was cold and it sent chills up Zoku's spine as he spoke to Tomoko, his sister that had cared for his body and entered a hellish realm to get him back. Such disregard for a Jio after all that she did for him was... admirable! Zoku froze when Dhan paid little attention to the 'slaves.' As the ground rumbled and the ringing of dead voices hit Zoku's ears once again, she began to panic. She was exhausted and any more demon fighting would be a hands down lose for her. Quickly, Dhan and Tomoko instructed them to sprint for the exit.

Seiko nodded at Zoku to make a run for it. Zoku's instant reaction was to help Seiko with the scroll, but he made the usual nod at her to head to the exit. It was the book of Heikou that he held a lot of pride in and Zoku wouldn't mess with that. Turning to the exit, the girl started her run. She wasn't the fastest and the demons were already right on top of them. As they dove at the Meho and those around her, she watched as one demon picked up the unknown girl and began tossing her around, tearng into her flesh. It gave her more energy to move forward, but not before one demon grabbed her by the ankle after a long dive. Zoku's chin met the hard bloody ground as she fell causing her to bite on her tongue. With blood streaming down her chin, Zoku rolled around on the ground and kicked at the demon who had her ankle. She didn't call out for help, because fear had hit her heart as the demon started biting at her live flesh. It wasn't long before another demon climbed over the first when and tried to pull Zoku away. Like a rag doll, Zoku was pulled back and forth between the two demons. With her head hitting the ground again as they tossled over her, Zoku drifted away into darkness...

As Tomoko watching Tsuigi and Seiko make it to the portal, she couldn't bare to see as the two girls were taken in by the demons. The two that had worked so hard to protect the others were the ones getting devoured. Seiko and Tsuigi made it out... A Meho and Jio, so there could still be Heikou! But... Tomoko knew that the celestial twins were important to Heikou... Without them, Heikou could not be! "Aaaarga!" Tomoko said as she shook her head painfully as if her brain was just stung by a bee. Seiko and Zoku were the key to Heikou. They had only spent a year and a half together, but the resistant bond was finally starting to merge! They had began wanting to kill one another, scratching out eachother's eyes, vowing to defeat one another, but now the idea of Heikou was finally uniting them. All Tomoko's hard work would be for nothing if she lost the ying to the yang.
The demons were here at the portal now. There was no way to get out and save her! Refusing to lean on Dhan any longer, Tomoko pushed away from her brother. "Keep demons in!" Tomoko demanded of her brother as she turned around to face the oncoming demons. Trying to get some moisture down her throat, Tomoko swallowed hard as the onslaught of demons dove for the portal that she and Dhan were in front of. Calling out the last bit of her strength, Tomoko jumped straight into the air, allowing the demons to slide past her and go right into Dhan. Tomoko's dark eyes spotted ideal places to land, right on top of other demon's heads. Like they were stones in a river, Tomoko hopped off of each head to make her way across the raging waters to her destination; Zoku. Crashing down on the demon's head, she cracked the skulls of both demons fighting over the girl and grabbed her free. "Zoku is going to kill Tomoko!" the woman shouted into the unconscious girl's ear.
Jumping up onto a pile of bones, Tomoko's eyes caught the slim figure of the Jio soul that had rescued Seiko. "Arragaaa!" Tomoko shouted in frustration as the stinging sensation worsened in her head. "Stupid souls..." Tomoko mumbled to herself as she headed back towards the portal in a curved path. Grabbing the girl in the air as she was being tossed around, Tomoko finally had them both and was making it towards the portal. However, fagtigue was wearing her down. The agility of carrying her own body had barely been at par when making it over the sea of demons, but carrying two bodies was too much. As she jumped to a head, her ankle twisted.
She was going to fall... after all that a clumsy move was going to take her down into the center of the demon horde. Furrowing her brows and grinding her teeth, Tomoko did all that she could to toss the bodies of the girls as close as she could towards the portal. "DhanDhan!" Tomoko hollered as she fell slowly into the sea of the demons. Like sacks of grain, the girl's bodies flew over the horde of demons towards the portal. Dhan would have to protect their bodies from the arms of the demons while Tomoko painstakingly tried to fight her way to the top of the demon's once again.

Grab the girls and carry/drag them through the portal! They're almost there!

Seiko slid through the portal skidding to the ground breathing harder than he had the capacity for in his body. Wincing his eyes he looked around to see if Zoku was her. His twin, his sister rather was not around. Standing about his legs still wobbly he moved closer to Tomoko who was by the portal. She wasnt for long as he could see her try her best to rescue his other half, and another girl who had saved him. Looking out in the see of demon's Tomoko had rescued them, smiling for a split second the boy was happy to see that Zoku would live. Until Tomoko dropped them both and was dragged away slowly by demons. Not thinking or even weighing his odds, Seiko's legs began to carry him out into the horde of hungry monsters he had tried so hard to run from. His body was no longer in his control. Something was telling him save Zoku, something deep in his soul was telling him not to let her die. He had let important people in his life die already and he would not let her be another one.
Reaching the girls body he hoisted her up over his shoulder and let his legs move as fast as they could. Getting her out was all that mattered. Moving with the slightest hesitation his ignored the voices in his head screaming put her down, she is a Meho. They didn't understand the bond they had formed, while ever so slight a bond all the same. As Seiko reached the portal he stopped running and slowly let Zoku's body touch the ground. Wanting to rest he knew he couldn't just yet. If anyone of those things came through that portal, they wouldn't get near Zoku. His job wasnt over. Not by a long shot.

Looking back into the portal at the otherside Tomoko and Dhan worked together. Tsuigi couldnt understand why they being a Jio and a Meho they where helping each other just like that and even more shocking, that Dhan took comands or rather requests from the Jio. " Hey we made it, why are you all going back?" He stomped at the ground with his wooden sandal angered and ready to go on and leave them behind when he saw what Tomoko was doing. She was saving the two girls who hadnt been able to make it through. Tsuigi didnt know how or why but he felt compelled to help this girl once again. He kept saying to himself it was because she could gain something from her, a powerful servant or slave but none seemed to be true, she was weak and was once again close to dying. In reality something connected him to her but he didnt want to admit it. "Grrr. Like i said before dont you make me regret this girl" Taking his sword from his back and holding it in his right hand the Meho ran towards the portal. to try and grab the girl before she hit the ground. As he got near the portal ,Tsuigi slashed at the portal with the tip of the blade to try and make an opening that wouldnt hinder his movement, the he pierced his sword through the stone floor and used it as a rotating center. Holding himself with his right hand, he outstreched his left hand and as he spinned he grabbed the girl by the arm. With that same momentum the spin brougth them back to the other side of the portal, just then Tsuigi let go of the sword and he fell into the ground

Dhan had reached the portal before the others and while they screwed around to save each others worthless lives he prepared to leave but he couldn't. Not without them. For as much as he had hated Tomoko in the past, as much as he had wanted to kill her with his own hands she had been the one to save him from this hell and even his heart was not so black that he would leave her behind now. Heading back away from the portal he passed the children without even bothering to look at them while he barked an order. " GET OUT NOW! " With that he planted his blade firmly in the ground and stepped infront of it to face the horde of demons. With his weapon behind him as a brace he would try and hold these monsters back. Stop them from reaching the portal long enough for Tomoko to reach him. Glancing over his shoulder he saw the children had all made it through the portal. It was only himself Tomoko and the demon horde now.
The beats hit him like a great wave crashing on the rocks however he was not as steady as rock. He was forced back, almost buckling under the pressure. The mighty warlords weapon slowly being pushed back through the charred earth along with him as the horde moved towards the gate inch by inch. " TOMOKO!" He roared, desperately trying to gather the strength to push them back but it was hopeless Tomoko was lost in the sea of demons and he could no longer hold them back. The brace created by his weapon collapsed and the sword tumbled through the gate. Without that help Dhan was thrown into the portal and tossed out the other side. Tomoko was still in there but to Heikou and its servants that mattered not. The twins who had let them pass now closed the gate. They could not risk the demon's taint on the land even for one of their own chosen children and Dhan simply lay where he was thrown. Ikatsui - Ago laying next to him. The tormented world closed back in the blade where it belonged only now every member of his family suffered in there.
Hold them back!
Keep the demons from reaching the portal till everyone can get out.

Struggle. It was the word that perfectly defined Tomoko's current state. Gashes in her arms, legs, sides and even atop her crown bled heavily as she continued to push her way through the demons of Ikatsui-Ago's realm. Her vision was narrow as blood drained from her body while her scronny elbows crushed demon faces and broke their spines in attempts to make her way through. Her struggles weren't enough. As she heard Dhan call out her name, the burning in her chest from fatigue and pain cooled itself down into a new sensation. It was a kick of adrenaline and determination to make it through these hungry shadows. "DHANDHAN!" Tomoko yelled as clamped both her hands together and swung them against the current of decaying bodies like a hammer. Whenever she felt like a small path had cleared, it instantly filled up with more twisted bodies now clawing and biting at each other to make it to the portal. Bringing her eyes up, she watched Dhan be pushed through the portal by a strong push from the waves of demons. "DHA-" Tomoko started, but her airways were forced shut abruptly as a hard lifeless hand took her neck from behind. Long sharp fingers with tips like harpoons closed around her tiny neck.
Rising up into the air, the largest demon of all held Tomoko up high before the portal. With her small tanned hands clawing at the red metallic hands of Ikatsui-Ago, Tomoko's dark eyes watched as Dhan was thrown to the ground on the otherside of the portal. Ikatsui-Ago's bone sculpted arms soared over the sea of demons and towards the portal. However, before he could make it out, the twins closed the portal instantly. Tomoko wanted to yell, but she couldn't. She reached out to the portal, but it was gone... She was trapped... Dhan's soul had escaped, but Tomoko took his place...in hell... for eternity.

 The twins stood silently near the spot where the portal had closed and Tomoko had disappeared into the demon's hell. As everyone poured out of the portal, their faces remained emotionless. Their thin bodies moved over to Chiyoko, a soul just like them. The cat jumped down from the pedestal in the center of the room and walked over to investigate as well his bell jingling to gain attention.
"So long has have you been gone."
"No body does this one have."
"Peculiar."
The twins began their chimes back and forth once again. With invisible quickness, their eyes rose up for the first time from their long black bangs. They were a bright orange, like the sun itself. These four orbs stared straight into Tsuigi.
"You could not face a demon."
"This Jio shall stay."
"You are not strong enough."
"Become Heikou and imprison Yoku-Akogi."
"It is the will of Heikou."
As their voices chimed together, the orange of their eyes began to glow brightly as the shrine began to shake. The cat quickly sprinted away as the crystal in the ceiling chimed violently.
"It is the will of Heikou."
The twins repeated again in deeper and scratchy tone as the ceiling began to glow with white lights. The white lights accumulated to the center before a single ray shot down into the soul of the Jio girl. If one did not shield their eyes, temporarily blindness would disrupt their vision as the light reanimated the soul's body where it lay. The light began to dim as the body became real once again. The rumbling ceased as the chimes gently hit against one another. The twins heads bowed heavily.
"You have proven yourselves."
"You are Heikou."
"You have saved this soul."
"You are Heikou."
"A Jio was lost."
"A Jio was gained."
"Heikou is pleased."

Seiko Looked out of the corner of his eye as he saw Dhan the destroyer climbing forward through the gate. The man seemed determined to stop the demon horde at all cost. Knowing that if Dhan couldn't do it then he couldn't. Picking up Zoku's body he walked through the portal trying his best not to distract Dhan. As things continued on the mighty destroyer was soon blown back with the force of the gates shutting. As was he and Zoku, Sliding along the floor the boy skidded to a stop, running over to Zoku he rolled her onto her back and brushed away her hair. She was still breathing which was good, but if she didn't wake up soon they could all be in trouble. Tomoko was lost in that hell hole they had escaped from which only left the Destroyer to watch over the group of misfits. Sitting down next to Zoku he hung his head. He had lost another family member. Seemed that was the never ending cycle he had choosen. Lossing people was apart of the job.
As the twins began to speak he noticed they spoke of the girl as a soul, which meant she had died sometime ago and by the look of her clothes she was around the same time as Tomoko. She was another Jio, which made him not the only one. Listening again he heard the twins speak of Heikou, they had all somehow managed to come out alive and were granted the title of Heikou, without Tomoko none of them knew what that meant. They had her scroll but no one could read it. Standing he spoke out which was rare in such mixed company. "What about Tomoko, and what exactly does being Heikou mean?" As much trouble as he gave the woman even he felt uneasy about leaving her in that hell hole.

To Tsuigi all the words coming from the twins' voices was nonesense. He looked one last time as where the portal had been and remembered the demon beast that had taken Tomoko. The creature was an evil entity that even gave him the chills. Shaking his mind of it he once again came to his mind to hear the twins reffer to him. " Wait a minute your telling me i just saved a Jio Ghost? And your just calling me a weakling? Ugh" His anger filled his head as he gave thought to it, he had risked his life twice for a Jio and she had been dead already, things couldnt get more interusting. As he crossed his arms on his chest A blinding light came over the girl. The Meho had to shield his eyes to prevent ending up blindded by it.
A second later there she was,a perfect Jio body, healty and most annoyingly alive "Tkkk" When the twins spoke of him as a Heikou he couldnt understand what it mean but he felt he had changed somehow, he could feel some strange power but wasnt sure what it meant. Even more strange he felt a connection to this girl he could not understand. The twins had commanded the girl to stay and him to capture Yoku-Akogi but after having faced this last ordeal he wasnt sure he would be able to do it as he was now.
He walked to the sword since he had landed a little bit far from it and took it off the place it was stuck. He replaced the holster he used to carry it and then placed it over his shoulder. Turning to look at Seiko, the Jio boy who had spoken just now Tsuigi gave him a look of disgust before battering at his nonsense questioning " Who cares what Heikou means right now? We got out of there alive didn't we? And you worried about the Baka Jio Hag? She was the one one took us to that hell in the first place!" He turned towards Chiyoko and stared firmly at her eyes. He pointed towards her with his right hand and his finger. " You girl, what is your name anyway? You heard these ghosts I need to capture Yoku-Akogi. I saved you from that hell so how about you return the favor eh? Somehow i think you'd be of better help than any of these other two brats!"

Seiko seemed to have found another Kolo. Butting into someones affairs that did not concern him. Reaching behind his back the boy pulled out his kunai. Spinning it on his index finger the boy let it rip from his side quickly. He wasnt aiming for the boy just close to him. It was a warning to stay out of his way if he valued his life. There were only three people in this world he feared. Zoku, Tomoko, and Dhan. This Baka-kun was not one of them. Turning back to the twins he waited for an answer from anyone important. Tomoko was their ring leader, Dhan was a muscle bond murderer. If he was going to be able to get stronger and fully develop himself he had a feeling he was going to need Tomoko's help.
