Attention All Interested Elves The School Kitchens will be momentarily closed from
Dec.19 until Dec.25 (after the Yule Ball).
During these dates all elves are asked to not post here.
This is due to the fact that the elves will have their
own kitchen thread 'Christmas in the Kitchens' in the Yule Ball forum.
This change is only effective during the Yule festivities.
Elves are also allowed to make posts in the main thread for that forum.
Please limit those posts to 3 per day so as not to annoy the students. biggrin

katkepin The kitchens will be really busy during the Yule Ball (our own thread) maybe we elves should post the things we would like to cook....any masters and missus can post what they want to Umm, I can make the best butter cookies and im my opinion, are the best in the world of Magic or Muggle.

Alright kids,
I'm going to be virtually inactive for a while now...
I might pop in from time to time...
But these will be short, few, and far between...
Or at least compared to my usual 24/7 active-ness...
You see, this week is finals week and I need to be studing hard...
and after that, I'm going home for 3 weeks for the holidays.
and when you only get to see your family a few times a year,
and your a girl who really loves her family (like I do)
then you're going to put them before Gaia...

You'll feel like it was only yesterday that I was saying I'd be gone...

I've put you in the hands of two wonderful ladies

Professor Demarest walks in and sits down at the kitchen table, as usual. She pulls out her books and starts preparing the first lesson for the new term. "I hope these lessons are beneficial to my students," she thinks to herself. She looks around and sees the house elves busy at work. "Well, think how much the students would be learning if they had work ethics like my friends here."
After sitting and working on the lesson for about two hours, she looks up, and, turning to the nearest house elf, asks politely, "Excuse me, but could I have a cup of coffee? And do you have any chocolate chip scones? I do see them in the Great Hall from time to time. They are a personal favorite, I must say." 3nodding

*Walks into the kitchen and yawns* I'm so tired, but I can't sleep. Can one of you elves please get me some milk and cookies or something?

eek The new house elf jumped and let out a squeak upon being addressed by the professor then looked around frantically and blinked. "Ohdearohdear--yes! Right away Missus!"
With a *POP* the elf dissapeared to another part of the kitchen then moments later *POP* the elf was back holding a tray. On one side of the tray was a cup of steaming coffee with creamer & sugar sitting conveniently beside it and on the other side was a plate of three fresh chocolate chip scones. "Plenty more where that came from Misses--ohmyohdear but theres another one, "if you would excuse me I must see to another request." She bowed to the professor then scurried to Angil.
"Milk and cookies? Ohdearohmy-- Yes yes we have those!" Again the *POP* sounded and less than a moment later the elf popped back with a cool glass of milk and a tray of assorted cookies of everykind. The house elf held them out to her, "Is this to your liking, Missus? If you wish I can fetch a warm glass of milk if that is what you prefer." The house elf stared up at her eager to please.
