Netas took a swig of the vodka then stretched out across the backseat and commenced to pass out.

Johnny, who had expected the gang to all head out to the gas station, was surprised when he heard the Mustang speed off.
Quickly paying for a pack of gum he was buying, he hopped on his bike, revving the engine and watching Netas crash, rather spectacularly. He pulled up alongside the car right as she passed out.
"If you want I can...oh." he started, seeing her unconscious. "Right. You guys are the more visible thing, besides you know where you're going. You lead." he said uselessly, tapping the brakes and falling behind the car. Nearly instantly he felt the wind off the car, and let go of the throttle, letting the draft of the car carry him down the street.
He slowed down as they reached the checkpoint, a little nervous. To calm himself, he turned on his radio. Because it was an old model with built in speakers, it had an interesting, distant/faint sound to it. The song playing was Magic Carpet Ride, the Steppenwolf version.

"Just speed through the checkpoint. If they get a good look at me, we aren't going anywhere," Sally said as Shae neared the edge of town, "Floor it." She smiled, and hung onto the door's handle.

Johnny saw the car accelerate, and immediately twisted the bike's right handle backwards, shooting towards the back of the car.
It's draft helped him go even faster, and he pulled past the Mustang, driving past the checkpoint.
Because he didn't expect to be back, he decided to infuriate the guards, and lifted his left hand, holding it up so the men in the booth could see.
What they saw was him holding up his middle finger.
Johnny grinned manically and sped past the checkpoint, slowing down so the Mustang could catch up.

Shae shrugged and floored it, gunning the car past the checkpoint. He saw Johnny fly past and pounded his own gas, pulling them close behind him. Johnny slowed, and Shae slid easily to the side and pulled ahead, taking up a position so that Johnny could continue to draft.
"Where to?" he asked Sally.

"Uhhh, not sure yet," Sally said as she pulled a map from the glove compartment, "Ah! Here," She pointed to a raod on the map, following it with her finger, "Follow this road until there's an intersection in the middle of nowhere. Then turn left. Then go straight again until we hit the next town in a few miles. We can rest and fill up there until we think the guards spot us, then we blow past another checkpoint and on to the next town. Do that for about three towns and we can stay there for a while, at least till one of us messes up again, like I did." She grinned and looked back at the already disappearing town, "I lived there for 3 years. And now it's gone. I can't go back." Her grin dissipated, and she faced front, letting the wind go through her hair.

Shae nodded as he listened to the directions. He couldn't help but smile at the craziness of the instructions, but he had a great memory and had no trouble remembering them.
Sally fell curiously silent and he glanced over to see her staring at nothing. He patted her leg softly. "Hey now, cheer up! I hate to see people sad."

"Hm, oh yea. I'm good, fine, just fine." Sally said quickly, looking at Shae. She reached into the back seat and grabbed a drawing pad from under Netas. She adjusted herself in her seat and took a pencil out from the cup holder. She started to sketch Shae's profile as he was driving, trying not to mess up due to slight bumps on the road.

Shae smiled. "I'm glad."
He drove in silence for a little while, then glanced over. "Hey, whatcha doin over there?"

"Sketching your profile," Sally said as she smiled, "I'm not bad at it, really, you want to see one of my other sketches before I show you yours?" She said as she flipped a few pages in the large book. She lifted it up and showed Shae a sketch of a tortoise that Sally had drawn the last time she was in an aquarium. She let him look at it and then flipped back to the page she had been drawing Shae's profile on. "You can see this one when I'm done," She said as she was drawing, "Just so long as you don't criticize it."

He smiled happily. "Oh my gosh, I loev turtles! I'm sure you'll do just fine. No criticism from me, since you can probably draw better than I can."
He continued to drive, allowing Sally to draw.

"Almost finished," Sally said after a few minutes, then she lifted the pad again for Shae to see, "You like it? I think I messed up on the nose. It looks scrunched up." Sally scrunched her nose, "like this," She laughed and looked behind her at Johnny, who seemed very lonely, "I think I'm gonna draw him next. His hair looks kinda funny though."

Johnny was lazily riding behind them, pulling up beside their right quarter panel to ask for directions, just in case.
He was about to pull up beside the door when he heard Sally talk.
"His hair looks kinda funny though."
He laughed, pulling up beside her.
"I heard that!" he said, laughing. He flicked a switch on the radio, and the song changed to Scar Tissue.
"Anyways, where do we go from here, I don't wanna have you all turn and me overshoot it." he said casually.

Shae laughed. "It's better than anything I could do. Thanks." He glanced in the mirror at Johnny. "He looks OK to me though."

Dimitri ran up the stairs. "god F******damn it..why is it always me the one who gets the most suspision" he muttered as shots were fired up at him. one hit the wooden railing near his hand sending splinters everywere. "jesus" He kept running. He had met up with a large patrol of law enforcement and after refusing to surrender to a search and was chased into this old apartment complex. now the police were shooting at him like madmen, stopping only to reload there guns. from what he could tell they only had revolvers and two shotguns so he wasn't too bad in the firepower with sin and punishiment's 16 .45 shots. But if they called backup it wouldn't mean too much good news for him. He reached the top, and began frantically trying to open doors, all locked, the window however lead onto the street but he was three stories up. "..aw too hell with it i'm dead either way" he muttered, and sprinted at the window jumped smashing throught the old glass and plumitting too the ground landing rather hard on the street below. "...holy f***...i'm alive..." he heard the sound of a racing engine, turned his head and did a forword combat roll as a car went screeching past him. He ducked behind a parked car as more shots opened up and began pounding the pavement and car. Dimtri took the time to reload. He took a deep breath and muttered a silent prayer, then he sprinted moving with all his power running out of the town and heading down the road. He could hear sirens behind him but never turned too look.
